Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a television series and film created by Joss Whedon. Like Heroes, this series straddles the genres of humor and drama, with Buffy the Vampire Slayer including horror where Heroes includes science fiction.

When Rebecca and the other sorority sisters try to kidnap Claire and Gretchen, Claire unexpectedly fights them off. Rebecca reveals who she is, and admonishes Claire, "Jeez, Claire. You don't have to go all Buffy on us. We're just kidnapping you."

Trivia

• According to Jeph Loeb on the cast/crew commentary for Unexpected, that episode used the same graveyard often used in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, especially in Season One.
• In the Buffy episode The Wish, Cordelia makes a wish that creates an alternate reality. When Buffy is first seen, in said reality, she has a scar on her lip, despite her superhuman ability to regenerate. In the same way Peter Petrelli had a scar on his face in the "exposed future" and "explosion future", despite his ability to heal.
• The season 6, "Buffy", episode "Tabula Rasa" shares the same name as the Volume 5 episode "Tabula Rasa". Both episodes show people who have lost their memories, Sylar for Heroes and "The Scooby Gang" for Buffy.
• In another sixth season episode of Buffy a warlock named Rack is able to use a dark magic energy which looks a lot like Ando Masahashi's ability. Later, Willow uses the same energy to slay a demon -- the same way Ando does it in a possible future to kill Hiro Nakamura.
