| history = Apart from suffering from dyslexia, Matt Parkman was about as average a person as they come until his ability to hear others' thoughts manifested shortly after Parkman began investigating the Walker murders, a case of a family murdered by one Gabriel Gray (see case file C3004).
| history = Meredith Gordon grew up on a farm in rural Arkansas. When she was only two years old, her mother died from complications during childbirth, although the baby, her younger brother Flint Gordon Jr. (see case file C3013) survived. When Meredith was eight her father was killed in a blaze which engulfed her home; the cause of the fire is unknown but may have been caused by one of the Gordons, both of whom manifested pyrokinetic abilities. It should be noted that it is unlikely Flint manifested his ability at this time. Meredith was separated from her brother and lived in at least nine foster families in various states (TX, OK, AR, AL), each time rejecting the attempts of anyone who tried to show her affection. Instead, Meredith became increasingly obsessed with finding her brother, whom she had had no contact with.

At the age of eighteen Meredith finally found her brother again, but he had changed with the passage of time and Meredith found herself unable to connect with him. Disenchanted, Meredith began searching for fulfillment in a variety of other men. At this time Meredith came to the attention of the Company, and was targeted for a bag and tag operation. Unfortunately, complications arose in the operation due to capabilities agents did not believe Meredith was capable of, and she was detained instead.
Parkman's work on the Walker case has recently been interrupted by personal problems on his job as a result of his new ability - namely, he punched a fellow officer in the precinct locker room when he learned that the man had been having an affair with his wife Janice. DNA reports indicate that her recently-born child is not Parkman's offspring, and therefore of no interest to the Company. Any supplementary case notes referring to the child may be disregarded.

[Paragraph Omitted: Classified]
Matt Parkman's father (see case file A1011) is Company founder Maury Parkman. When last monitored, Matt Parkman was still at the beginning of his ability's manifestation and a bag-and-tag operation is recommended to determine whether or not he will manifest the more dangerous abilities associated with his father.
| psych = For most of his life, the subject has seen himself as an average American suburbanite struggling to get ahead and being kept down by authorities who saw him as more of a "worker bee" then as material for something more. Rather then accept his position in life as an average law officer, the subject internalized this to the point of extreme neuroses, jeopardizing his marriage in the process, as evidenced by marriage counseling records. In fact, his wife cheated on him with a fellow LAPD officer, further undoing an already damaged and fragile ego.

Meredith dropped off the grid shortly after her escape. [Sentence Omitted: Classified] For the next decade, Meredith has lived a life constantly on the run, spending extensive time in Mexico, but always remaining on the Company radar thanks to the series of fires left in her wake. She eventually reunited with her brother, and in 2006 Company agents managed to corner and capture both Gordons, but en route to Odessa's Primatech Paper facility Flint Gordon Jr. was able to help his sister escape, at the cost of being recaptured himself.
The manifestation of his ability has given the subject a renewed confidence and a new set of conflicts in his life as he learns to incorporate his ability into his day-to-day life. He has already done so to a limited extent and has succeeded in further alienating those around him. The subject also displays equal measures naiveté and world-weariness along with a sense that he always must strive to do right, even if what he considers "right" shifts due to others' influence on him.

Since that time Meredith dropped off the grid again, although it is strongly suspected that she is still somewhere in Texas.
Due to the subject's lineage and potential for growth of power, it is recommended to keep close tabs on him, to ensure that he does not falls under the sway of someone who may pose a threat to our work.
| psych = Fiercely independent in demeanor, the subject has led a largely deviant lifestyle, having several brushes with actual law enforcement officials as well as agents of our own Company. Her social outlook is a paradox in that she considers others usually untrustworthy, and yet has consistently rejected attempts by others throughout her life to befriend her or even show her kindness. The subject has never held a legitimate job and is fundamentally self-serving, with somewhat relaxed moral values - she is willing to hurt others for her own gain, but draws the line at killing, unlike her brother.

The subject's extensive travels have instilled in her a certain sort of 'street savvy' which has made her very difficult to pin down and apprehend. She speaks Spanish and French fluently and is believed to have strong allies in Mexico in particular. She has repeatedly proven herself to be a very mobile individual, capable of abandoning everything and starting over somewhere else, usually leaving a house fire in her wake. These signature blazes are the subject's calling card, and agents assigned to her case should be advised to always be on the lookout for them.

Since that time Meredith dropped off the grid again, although it is strongly suspected that she is still somewhere in Texas.

Fiercely independent in demeanor, the subject has led a largely deviant lifestyle, having several brushes with actual law enforcement officials as well as agents of our own Company. Her social outlook is a paradox in that she considers others usually untrustworthy, and yet has consistently rejected attempts by others throughout her life to befriend her or even show her kindness.
