Artemis Daniels is the only child of two university professors. As a result of her late birth, Daniels led a very sheltered childhood. Her parents doted on her and took great pains to develop her intelligence from her earliest years. As a child she had few friends, not due to antisocial tendencies but rather because her parents were the best friends she had.

With little incentive for extended social interaction, Daniels grew up in an insular environment, an upbringing which stunted her psychological growth (see psychological profile). Shortly before graduating high school, Daniels was extended an offer to play in the NMSO, a prospect which she was initially responsive to but later rejected at the urgings of her parents, instead enrolling in UMN where her parents were still teaching.

Daniels' record as a student at UMN was by all accounts exemplary, although she continued to shy away from attention and social interaction. In her junior year of college she began dating the son of a close friend of her parents. The relationship did not last for long, as neither Daniels nor her paramour had any real attraction towards one another, dating instead solely at the insistence of their parents.

After obtaining her degree Daniels went on to seek employment as a kindergarten teacher. Daniels found fulfillment in her work, but it was interrupted by the manifestation of her power, which is a notably rare mutation. The value of Daniels' ability immediately brought her to the attention of the Company, and after two weeks of surveillance the German, with direct supervision from Primatech Paper's Director Thompson, bagged Daniels and brought her back to Texas.

Daniels has since that time been the primary focus of the Booster Project (see Project Index #002345). While attempts to gauge the nature and limits of her power have been successful, determining the origin and in turn finding a way to replicate this ability has proven more difficult. Though initially headed by Odessa's Dr. Spencer, the project was later turned over to the control of Dr. Donovan, a direct subordinate of Founder 12. [Sentence Omitted: Classified]

The childhood led by the subject, though nurturing, was highly insular, and as a result the subject's development into an adult has been somewhat stunted. Though quite gifted in terms of intelligence, the subject exhibits a naiveté comparable to that of a pre-pubescent child, as well as a slight aversion to human interaction and a complete abhorence for violence. The subject was not exposed to violence of any sort at any point in her childhood, and her repression is so heightened that even in moments of anger the subject does not respond with normal human reactions to anger, instead suppressing her feelings through domestic activity. This combination of naiveté and repression has led to a remarkably docile human being. This submissiveness has made completion of the Booster Project a largely foregone conclusion, with the project's only delays being the rebellion of the secondary subject (see case file B0314). Even after extended confinement the subjected has exhibited no anger towards her captors, only fear and obedience. This set of personality traits has helped the subject transition into her new life quite well, and as a result her risk rating is low enough to be considered inconsequential.
