info during the episode

  • Info during the episode is a little gray. Usually we accept that from 9-10EST the wiki will be in a state of flux where new info is being added so people are encouraged to tread lightly. Even after the episode ends the info is still technically a spoiler for people in PST, so they have to be careful for 3 additional hours even if we didn't add info until the end of the episode. Like I said, it's a little gray. :) Info before the event occurs on the east coast is spoilerish... once it airs it's good. It's a little biased I suppose, but it's sort of based on practicality. Maybe .01% of people know the info from spoilers before it airs on east coast so we omit it. Once it airs you can expect maybe 30-40% of people now know it so it makes more sense to add the info then. (Admin 21:42, 27 October 2008 (EDT))

Hi, thanks again for your help patrolling and adding to the theory pages. Please keep it going. :) I saw today that you used the full url in an image link for the Image:Four villains.jpg picture in Theory:Genetic modification formula, and I thought I'd make a suggestion in case you aren't aware: If you need to add a link to a local file, but don't want to see the image, you just need to remember to put ":" before "Image:<filename>" and it will appear as a link only instead of an image. About Gabriel's power

Arthur did specifically say that Gabriel had the power of empathy. He shared an emotional connection with Elle that allowed Gabriel to access her power of lightning. I don't understand why it isn't classified as Empathic mimicry. Could you please tell me what you're thinking it could be? It just seems unmistakable that that power is Empathic mimicry.
(In my own personal opinion, I think that it could be Gabriel's lack of emotional attachment in his upbringings with his adoptive parents that rendered him unable to feel emotion, which made him incapable of accessing his power of Empathic mimicry.{That is to say that he has that power}). Let me know what you think. It just seems really clear to me that it is Empathic mimicry. --Bentonyang 22:14, 17 November 2008 (EST)

Empathy and empathic mimicry are not the same thing, however. It's still speculation to say so. I have no doubt empathy had a part in Sylar absorbing Elle's ability, but whether or not empathic mimicry was involved is highly debatable. My theory is that his turning over a new leaf allowed him to access a new aspect of intuitive aptitude, in that he can copy abilities just by seeing them in action. But you have your theories and I have mine... however, again, it's still speculation to say that Sylar used empathic mimicry to absorb Elle's power. I understand that it was a page that was unnecessary; however, I did create the Impenetrable skin (lowercase s) before whoever created the Baron Samedi page added the Impenetrable Skin with an uppercase S. I didn't create the other one, I simply added to my own and replaced the Impenetrable Skin on the Baron Samedi page. Best Episode Ever.

I agree, it was quite good. Wouldn't call it the best but it was great. I loved Hiro's storyline, they brought his character back a bit, and in a very good way. I also like how he randomly showed up and took Sylar and Elle away. The only thing I really didn't like was that Sylar killed Elle. If they would have left it at that, Noah Gray could have still been born. Now things are mixed up =P. Great episode regardless.--Riddler 22:03, 1 December 2008 (EST)

Ahh, well I still think it's the best. Other than Hiro's moments, I really liked the development of the powered-down characters. We saw a new side to almost everybody. I also really like how the courier fanboy is apparently going to be making a reappearance. Hearing the "legend" from Sam was a very pleasant blast from the past. Ando

I'm sorry but to know it as Ability Supercharging is pretty lame, Paulette Hawkins ability was know as Ability Augmentation, not supercharging. They called it supercharging because that's what it was like. Magnetism

This was already discussed. RGS stated that the rules that we use for naming abilities don't apply to lead images; we use the best illustrative image. I already changed it back over a month ago to no objection, then Futurepeter came and just changed it again. I didn't notice it until today. Peter getting his powers back

Hey I'm not sure this is the best way to talk to you, but I thought I'd try.

Just listing "Flight" in the info box is misleading becuase it implies that we know for sure that Flight is his only power. Just like putting Empathic Mimicry would imply that we know he regained his original power for sure(I put that in there originally because I'm new and thought there was enough evidence, my bad.) We don't know that Flight is his only power just as we don't know if he regained Empathic Mimicry. I think making a small note about the uncertainty would be prudent, and if you don't like it in the info box I think it should go in the opening paragraph so It's information that is readily available. I understand that it is mentioned furthur down the page, but it's way down at the bottom and not very noticeable. The fact that Peter may have gotten his powers back is huge and should be one of the first things mentioned on his page.Cdweston 15:19, 19 December 2008 (EST)
