Before acting, Bobby Hosea played defensive back at UCLA, and was named "Most Inspirational Player" in his senior year. He turned pro, and played for three years in the Canadian Football and U.S. Football Leagues. "I retired at 28 because I had just been beaten up enough. Playing defensive back was constant pressure and as the injuries started to mount up, I wondered what's next. It was time for me to go."
Bobby Hosea began his television acting career in 1984, appearing in "Her Life as a Man" as a football player. He appeared in many 1980s television shows, from "Benson" to "Perfect Strangers" to "21 Jump Street". In 1995, Bobby portrayed O. J. Simpson in "The O. J. Simpson Story".
