Shalim Ortiz is the Puerto Rican singer and actor who is scheduled to play Alejandro, Maya's brother.
About
Born in Puerto Rico, he eventually relocated to Miami where he joined the Thespian Society of Performing Arts. He began his career in theater, including the lead role in the musical cabaret Rocio in Spite of It All. His film credits include Spin (for which he also sang the title song on the soundtrack). He will appear in the upcoming films Art of Travel and Yuniol. and developed a passion for theater. Before completing elementary school, he had already been part of a much successful television show called "Los Angelitos" (Little Angels). His desire to branch out led him to take on projects as a guest host in various shows ("Evolution", "Pepsi Charts", etc.), and in modeling.
