Richard Chevolleau to play Aaron Taylor?

Anyone else think the writers/artist had Richard Chevolleau in mind to portray Aaron? The description job he was given and his appearance fits the role (Augur) he played on Earth: Final Conflict.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:02, 9 November 2008 (EST)

Chapter 1

So it looks like we're literally getting to see both sides of the same story each week. This first week was pretty cool, especially how they did the gunfight (the experience reminded me of the mirror scene from The Never Ending Story). Too bad they aren't crediting the writers who came up with the stories or the artist. Looks like they've done a good job.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:07, 9 November 2008 (EST)

Split?

There's a lot of info. here about different characters related to the storyline, and the page as-is could get crowded rather quickly even with the collapsible table format I added. So perhaps it would be better to make a namespace for these stories like we did for the webisodes? That way we could more easily make checklists for what needs to be added to what page. Alternatively, we could just archive the previous weeks in separate subpages (that was actually initial plan when making this page). Does anyone have a preference?--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:01, 10 November 2008 (EST)

  • I'm glad to hear that your initial plan was to use subpages. I really don't like the idea of creating new namespaces for each chapter. I would keep throwing everything on this page, and then let's see where we go from there. We might find that there's a logical breaking point every three chapters, or something like that, where we can move old information into a subpage. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:09, 10 November 2008 (EST)
    • Ok, it would not have been a new namespace each week but just a new article in a "iStory" namespace, but using subpages could be better for now since we don't know that much about these stories. Any chance you can find out anything about the writer and artist from Joe, Ryan? PS: I've added a short checklist for week 1 at the top of this page so we all can collaborate.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:30, 10 November 2008 (EST)

Player articles

It appears that the same characters will appear regularly every week and mirror each other. Just a suggestion, but might we make articles called "Primatech IStory Player" and "Pinehearst IStory Player" so we can chronicle the two individual's adventures and make the summaries less confusing when we talk about faceoffs, like where they said "the player had to talk to the player", which really confused me until I read the other mission. If the (very plausible) comment in the above sub header was right, IStory could be divided into small chapters of 3 or 4 weeks, and we could find out our character's name eventually. Kortu 17:38, 11 November 2008 (EST)

  • I think the scene you're talking about is the gunfight, and I tried to be careful not to say "the player had to talk to the player" and used some "other person" in the summaries. If you've read both summaries, then I guess you might get confused if you think "player" is the same person in both stories. I've added a note to the intro to clarify. Does that make it clear for you? I think making separate iStory (note the small "i") player pages would be rather repetitive at this point, since the stories are basically all told in the perspective of (you) the player.--MiamiVolts (talk) 18:35, 11 November 2008 (EST)
    • After seeing the new section below noting the name of this volume of the iStory (sorry 'bout the 'i' there) I think that we should only make character articles if the player(s) in the next volume are different from the ones in this volume. That way we'll have a little clarification. But thanks for the feedback MV. Kortu 14:01, 22 November 2008 (EST)
      • We are considering splitting off the Operations into separate pages, so that would essentially accomplish what you are suggesting. The only thing I added to that is that we might consider adding an "iStory" namespace so it's more obvious those articles are all related to the iStory.--MiamiVolts (talk) 14:08, 22 November 2008 (EST)

Is this canon?

While it should definitely be chronicled, is this story canon? I don't remember where I read it, but someone official called this an "Alternate reality", which made me assume it's entirely for fun. I don't know.--Riddler 09:52, 13 November 2008 (EST)

  • No, it's not canon. All Heroes Evolutions content is near-canon. We should be careful about adding content from iStory to character pages etc., though, since there is more than one story. For instance, it might be okay to say that an agent (meaning the fan who is using iStory) meets Lloyd Collins, but we shouldn't say much more than that since there are a few versions of the story. That's my knee-jerk reaction to the content...But I would really hold off adding much of anything to other pages until we find out a bit where it's going, to be perfectly honest. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:39, 13 November 2008 (EST)

A page for Red eyes guy

Why We dont create it? He's a new character, and, he apeared in The countdown to the premiere, so why not?--Henryp

  • I think that might be Flint. One of my questions I sent to CBR Behind the Eclipse for this Monday's issue was to verify if that's him.--MiamiVolts (talk) 11:00, 16 November 2008 (EST)
    • I never seen Flint with (Glowing?) Red Eyes. --Snow Leapord 22:23, 18 November 2008 (EST)
      • Neither have I. I might be on the right track or I might not be... my question wasn't answered, but since it wasn't answered and chapter 2 has been delayed for some reason, I don't mind a page for him. Here's some photos of the guy from the video...I'm not sure which one is best:

--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:24, 18 November 2008 (EST)

  • I guess it's possible the Company shaved his head, but this guy's bald and Michael has hair.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:54, 19 November 2008 (EST)
  • If the film was from some time before his escape but shortly after his first B&T capture, he may not have been allowed to shave it on level 5. The difference between video and GN being explained as natural progression of growth. --Psych-Gen 10:06, 19 November 2008 (EST)
  • Perhaps, but I doubt it. Adam supposedly had been in L5 for years, yet he didn't look in need of a haircut. There's also Michael's glowing arms to consider, the video guy's arms didn't glow.--MiamiVolts (talk) 11:58, 19 November 2008 (EST)
    • We were both wrong, it's a new character named 'Ricardo Silva'...--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:50, 19 November 2008 (EST)
      • Here is the info I found when going though it "Ricardo Silva, codenamed Red Eye," Pope says. "Biochemist, researcher, part-time professor. He manifested in a Primatech lab, killed a few people. Level 5 and detention facilities ever since." and info about his power ""Primal rage. In other people. Turns them on each other like a dog fight,"--Rahm Cleve 10:50 CST, 20 November 2008

Friend or Foe

Based on the NBCUMV article, it looks like 'Friend of Foe' is the name of the current storyline for the iStory. I'm not sure if we can call 'Friend or Foe' as 'Volume One', though, but I wanted to note this now so we have a reference if the iStory title changes when we go into 'Fugitives'.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:20, 21 November 2008 (EST)

Numbering and titling

Are these numbers what NBC is using for this content? And what's with the same title for the different chapters? --SacValleyDweller (talk) 23:46, 21 November 2008 (EST)

  • Yeah, NBC is using these numbers (101, 102, 201, 202, etc.) for the url, and the same title (Operation Bad Blood, Operation Splinter) for different chapters (1 and 2) (see the recap here).--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:54, 21 November 2008 (EST)
    • Hmm...Not the way I'd release it or document it. althoug the other way to present it doesnt look much better while I think about it.--SacValleyDweller (talk) 00:43, 22 November 2008 (EST)
      • Since we're talking about documenting, I think we should have iStory be a brief overview of the game and the characters. Then I think we should have a page each for Operation Splinter and Operation Bad Blood, each with the full history of the story. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:02, 22 November 2008 (EST)
        • I like that! --SacValleyDweller (talk) 01:04, 22 November 2008 (EST)
          • I think it's starting to make more sense to have the split articles be iStory:Operation Splinter, and iStory:Operation Bad Blood using a new iStory namespace. However, I'm not opposed to the main namespace split Ryan suggested. We can always move the articles again later if Admin decides to make such a namespace.--MiamiVolts (talk) 03:00, 22 November 2008 (EST)
            • I don't see anything wrong with using a pseudonamespace like "iStory:Operation Splinter". -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:43, 22 November 2008 (EST)
              • Using a pseudonamespace makes it harder for Admin to make a real namespace later, as he has to manually move the articles to the new namespace. That's one of the reasons we still don't have a "Portal" namespace, and I'd rather avoid doing that.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:22, 22 November 2008 (EST)

Re: Week 2 Checklist

I've added the above checklist here to gather some thoughts about which new characters/places should get articles, as well as help organize the tasklist.--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:20, 22 November 2008 (EST)

  • Umm, just throwing in some insight here, but I think Anna's Ability would be best left called "Anna's Ability" until we get a clearer name for it. Harry is almost definitely a cover for an existing KS member, but we should wait to make a page for him until next week to see if we find out his identity. Kortu 13:57, 22 November 2008 (EST)
    • Thanks for the input. Anna has the same onset of her ability that the Haitian did (see Graphic Novel:It Takes a Village, Part 2), so I see no reason to separate it from his ability. We just need to note what she has done with it so far on the mental manipulation page. Sorry about calling the guy Harry..it's Harris, and he was confirmed a Kill Squad member in chapter 2. I don't think that it's a cover name for someone else, cause the higher-ups would know if Harris had been in the Kill Squad originally.--MiamiVolts (talk) 14:21, 22 November 2008 (EST)

Chapter 2 images

Here's some images for chapter 2 as we go about making pages and userpages:

When the image becomes used, please remove it from the above gallery. It does look like Harris and Carter have evil Pinehearst twins, doesn't it? ;)--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:36, 22 November 2008 (EST)
