Reviews

Huh, so they didn't really make the title into meaning a form of precognition. Looks like the silhouettes at the end are of Connie, Sabine and Julien, but we can't be sure so they don't get appearance credits. I'm guessing Donna thinks Evs is Connie, but imho Evs is probably not in the house. I guess we'll have to wait 4 weeks and see what happens (the next 3 weeks is to be a different storyline). It was a good novel, so kudos to Zach on the story and Alitha on the art.--MiamiVolts (talk) 04:01, 26 August 2008 (EDT)

  • One of the silhouettes looks like it could be Connie Logan's. -Lөvөl 03:55, 26 August 2008 (EDT)
    • Yes, see above (I was typing when you posted so I put it above). It might not be Connie, or Connie could just be a helper. Regardless, if it is Julien inside the home it could turn out to be a fun fight.--MiamiVolts (talk) 04:09, 26 August 2008 (EDT)
      • A rather weak novel. It didn't add much to the story, nor is it an example of any good writing. The art was fine, albeit not as good as the previous part. The Donna-Thompson relationship and Gael trying to get in contact with Fallon were the highlights. And btw: we don't have to wait a month; next week begins the final 3-parter, wrapping up the Evs-arc. :) Pierre 06:02, 26 August 2008 (EDT)
        • It seems the me that none of them have to br Evs, they could all of been sent there to meet someone else. Or they could all be Evs, it doesn't have to be one person. --Skywalkerrbf 06:06, 26 August 2008 (EDT)
        • I liked it, it helped show a more positive side to Thompson Jr., what with him showing some concern for his partner and not just hitting on/sleeping with every female in the Company. Still, the gas scene seemed a bit contrived. --PeterDawson 10:18, 26 August 2008 (EDT)
          • I think it's Connie. Sabine didn't know who Evs was and Julian was out of it. Connie fits the stereotypical "no-as-dumb-and-weak-as-you-thought-I-was" storyline. And it's almost certainly Julian and Sabine, as they're together and fighting Julian would certainly need an army. My prediction: Gael is going to bring the Kill Squad and the pircks'll come in and kill everyone who's at the scene: Connie, Sabine, Thompson, Julian and especially Donne (the painting). Therequiembellishere 18:40, 26 August 2008 (EDT)
          • On another hand, the two other silhouettes could be Sebastien Shell and Hsui-mei Park to tie in the graphic novels with evolutions. Park has been the most sympathetic toward the posthumans. Therequiembellishere 18:40, 26 August 2008 (EDT)
            • I agree. the silhouettes are Connie, Sabine and Julian for sure. Donna's comment about Gael bringing an army definetly sounds like it is Julian inside. Is it just me though or is it TOO convenient that Thompson, Jr. had a gas canister in his pocket. I think he and Bianca are working for evs too, he could've been contacted after Cushing's death. btw love Bianca for imprisoning Gael awesome scene, all in all another awesome novel. i think this will make for an excellent showdown next week (hopefully).
  • On the evs debate i dont think it is anyone in the room in fact Donna simply realized who evs is she never said evs is inside the house at all, he could even be right beside her... it could be Connie though.
    • Except there is a flaw into thinking it is Connie. Donna told Thompson Jr. to call Gael and tell him to bring an army. If Connie was Evs why would Donna say that? All Connie has is Appearance Alteration, nothing that needs more than a few people. Plus Connie can't change her own face without some outside force, so I don't think they would need more than a few people to find someone who can't really hide. Granted Connie could be like Peter or Sylar but is that really possible at this point? Even her assignment tracker says she has one ability, and I think the company would be able to tell if she exhibits more than one ability because it's part of her main ability like empathic mimicry. Plus if Connie was like Peter or Sylar, how would Donna know? I don't think it would cross her mind, so her saying "Call Gael and tell him to bring an army" would only make sense, if she knew the exact nature of that person and their abilities. See if it was Sylar then it would make more sense for Donna to say that but Connie? Though of course I'm not saying its Sylar, just someone within the same level of threat. --Dman dustin 22:18, 26 August 2008 (EDT)
      • Because she knows that it couldn't be Julian, but recognises his threat. Therequiembellishere 23:16, 26 August 2008 (EDT)
        • That implies Julian is Evs not Connie because I don't think the statement is separate. Oh Connie is evs but Julian is there so send an army. No, I think the statment is about evs not about the threat Julian poses. I don't see why her statement would imply two different people, when it sounds like she only meant it to be the person that is Evs not one of Evs "partners". --Dman dustin 23:50, 26 August 2008 (EDT)
          • Plus why would Donna somehow come to the conclusion Connie is Evs? Just because she's simply next to people who appear to be Julien and Sabine? Plus would the Evs we know risk his/her life. I mean in hindsight Connie was in a fight, and Connie didn't even try and stop the fight, she just sort of let it happen.--Dman dustin 00:01, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
            • Well, Donna let Sabine escape and saw how weak Julian was. Also, we barely know anything about Evs. Connie didn't just let it happen, she participated; moving along the strife and the Company's downfall. Connie isn't a dunce, she's a Company agent and can fight; assuming Evs is as well, how do we know Evs wouldn't have fought? Therequiembellishere 00:47, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
              • I just don't know if I could buy it though. I'm looking at some clues and they do hint at Connie being Evs. Such as Evs calling up the teleporter right before Penny knocks on the door. And in Evs interview, Evs mentions that when Evs was a child he/she thought about "changing" the world. But to be honest I don't know if I could buy it. We're are supposed to believe that without any outside force that "Connie" has worked her way up the food chain at the company by this I mean how is "Connie" supposed to know about the specific Security Codes that high "leveled" company agent; I don't even think Noah would know about those security codes and even if Noah did, I don't see Connie being up there with Bennet in Security Clearance. And I find it hard to believe that Connie did her "Evs" stuff without being caught. Can the company be that idiotic? If Connie did set Donna up with Noah Bennet, how could she do this without being caught. I know she could've used her ability and had someone else do the work, but how did she get followers to do this without being Evs in the first place? She isn't Batman, she isn't a billionaire genius as far as we know, so how could Connie be so skilled in these matters? The only thing I will buy, is if Connie Logan "Evs" isn't Connie Logan "Penny's Mother." --Dman dustin 11:30, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
                • Evs being a team wouldn't be too far fetched, though. Think about it: Connie can change anyone's appearance. Julien can have a nigh infinite amount of clones. Connie could disguise every clone so that they can move about the company freely and listen in on every conversation without anyone taking much notice. Codes could be learned this way, though Julien may have had enough clearance to get passed passcode doors, and Connie's ability may fool biometrics like retina scans. A tag team duo like that would be able to keep an eye on everything without a problem. Gac 14:57, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
                  • Except that wouldn't have worked before Julien was sprung.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:04, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
                    • There were still numerous Julien clones around at that point. As well, we don't know when, exactly, Julien was put in his contraption; Evs may have been some sort of contingency plan he and Connie had concocted in case the company got greedy with his power. Gac 11:12, 28 August 2008 (EDT)

I think some of your key words there, Dman dustin, are "as far as we know". Therequiembellishere 15:14, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
