Nathaniel tells Dimitri to get Krystal out of her house, and to take her to Sophia's home to convince Sophia to leave with them.

Cruel To Be Kind

Dimitri arrives outside Krystal's bedrrom window to find her reading a book. He raps on the window screen, making Krystal jump up, frightened. Upon realizes who it is, she settles down, asking him why he is there. Dimitri explains Nathaniel's discovery of a plot to capture evolved humans. He also relays Nate's instructions to save Sophia and to leave the country for safety. Krystal questions if they plan to stop the operation, and Dimitri responds that it is very likely. Krystal decides that she needs to tell her parents that she will be leaving and won't be back for a long time, but Dimitri insists that their parents cannot ever know what has happened to them, for their own safety.

Dimitri pulls Krystal through her window and into the air. She decides she wants to be held by Dimitri from behind so she can imagine she is flying on her own. After the pair land on Sophia's roof, Krystal determines the location of Sophia's bedroom. She asks Dimitri to wait on the roof and to meet the girls out back in a few minutes. Then she falls through the roof to get Sophia.

A Thousand Words

Sophia looks at pictures of Krystal and their friends. The pictures include them all ice skating, them all in Nathaniel's basement, and Krystal at a pool with Dimitri, Stephanie, and Scott. Also among the photos are Krystal in her bedroom with the girls, the eight friends bowling and the eight of them posing for homecoming pictures in April's living room. Sophia then looks at hoodie that Krystal had given to her.

When Sophia turns back around, Krystal drops into her room. Krystal relishes in the fact that she judged perfectly where to land from the roof and playfully apologizes to Sophia for entering in the manner she did. When Sophia asks, Krystal tells her that Dimitri flew her there and that they have to leave. Krystal picks up the hoodie she had given to Sophia and the two comment on it. Krystal gives it to Sophia and tells her about the government operation to capture everyone with abilities. She says that they will be leaving the country and won't be able to come home until they stop the operation. Sophia decides to leave and the two leave her room only to run into Sophia's mother who is shocked to see Krystal. Mrs. Oakley forbids Sophia from leaving, but Krystal tells her that the two are being hunted by the government. Sophia explains that they did nothing wrong but that they might never return if they are captured. Mrs. Oakley says that Sophia's father could get them out, but Krystal doesn't believe it would be that easy. Just then Sophia's front door flies open and Krystal says goodbye to Mrs. Oakley, dropping Sophia and herself into the basement.

Krystal lands on her feet and then helps Sophia up, pulling her to the basement door. Suddenly the door opens and three men run in. Krystal runs through the men, pulling Sophia with her, and then hits the third man in the back of the head. Sophia lets go of Krystal's hand and increases the fear, anger, and confusion of the men, causing them fall to the ground with no control over themselves. Krystal turns Sophia around to see that two more men have appeared. The one in front shoots a taser at Krystal, but she phases it through her and Sophia and then puts her hand into the man's chest to complicate his breathing and knocks him out. After Dimitri appears to take out the second agent, he flies the two girls away from Sophia's house and the other agents.

April thinks of Krystal when she is trying to escape, wishing that Krystal were there to help her.
