An Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting is a support group for alcoholics who are breaking their addiction. Members will often meet to share experiences on problems with their lives, recent developments, and how long they have been sober.

Niki Sanders attends an AA meeting, where she reveals that she has been sober for a year (since about April 2005). In the audience are her estranged father, Hal Sanders, and her friend Tina.
