*****But it's still part of the Shanti virus. I'd rather have most or all of the information about teh virus on one page if possible. We can easily redirect Strain 138 to Shanti virus. If it becomes Something Important, then we can break the redirect and create a page for it, no biggie. I'll take care of the redirect now. -- 01:31, 27 November 2007 (EST) |

*I still think it's fairly important. I'm just not 100% sure it deserves it's own page. But being the single thing that can wipe out over 5 billion of something in a year, I gather it's very powerful. Think Uluru, but in a vial. Arnor 01:36, 27 November 2007 (EST) |

**I'm not saying it's not important, just that it doesn't need its own page. It's not a separate virus, just a strain of the Shanti virus. It seems like it would best fit on the page already, especially since it will only be mentioned in maybe one more episode. If it's back in Exodus, then I would reconsider... -- 01:41, 27 November 2007 (EST) |

I think that Claire holding her father's urn on the beach would be a good choice for this episode. It was a great one. Very thrilling pace, imho.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:17, 26 November 2007 (EST)
- Sounds good to me. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:01, 27 November 2007 (EST)
- I took the liberty to change it. Here are some others: [1], [2]. Choose whichever you guys prefer. Arnor 00:14, 27 November 2007 (EST)
- I think it looks fine. Very plaintive. Don't forget to add the proper fair use statement, categories, and links when adding an image. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:22, 27 November 2007 (EST)
- Looks like someone did that for me. I didn't know how to do it anyways, so thanks to whoever did it. PS: Sorry to barge in here, but I hope I got one thing off your to-do list, Ryan - check the Shanti Virus picture gallery. Arnor 00:25, 27 November 2007 (EST)
- Thanks, the gallery looks good! ... I took care of the fair use statement and categories. Here's one way you can add that information:

Young Kaito
So the younger version of Kaito was played by Eijiro Ozaki? Cool, though when I was watching I was thinking that it was Von Flores (Earth: Final Conflict).--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:27, 26 November 2007 (EST)
Victoria Pratt
So no power news, but at least we know Victoria's last name is Pratt (not Platt). I really hope they invite the rl actress to guest star on the show.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:27, 26 November 2007 (EST)
- Joanna Cassidy is a great actress, so they better give her more than one episode. Also, it's getting really old about all the talk they give about parents having abilities and not telling us what they are. =/ --AnotherNella 23:42, 26 November 2007 (EST)
March 19th?
I missed the part where they stated it was the 19th. Does anyone know when that occurred?--Tim Thomason 23:55, 26 November 2007 (EST)
- Peter said told Victoria that they have 24 hours until the virus is released. Howard Lemay Peter that the virus was first reported on March 20, 2007. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:00, 27 November 2007 (EST)
Ampersand in title
Is this the case? If so, I'll move in a second.--Bob (talk) 00:50, 27 November 2007 (EST)
- No, don't. The ampersand messes things up. We'll take care of it with redirects. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:53, 27 November 2007 (EST)
- It's the same problem with Fathers and Daughters, Gray and Sons, and Claire and the Cat. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:53, 27 November 2007 (EST)
Sylar
Did anyone else think that Sylar's little trick to help Maya control her ability was a tad too risky? He couldn't have known for sure that she'd control her ability at all, not to mention before it killed him. He saw what happened to Peter at the end of season one, and I'm very sure that Peter was doing his absolute best to control his ability. Sylar just doesn't seem like the type of guy that would willingly play russian roulette; he seemed pretty determined to kill Maya and take her ability when he talked to Alejandro by their car, in the desert. Arnor 00:57, 27 November 2007 (EST)
- Sylar has always been a bit self-destructive and even a bit masochistic. Remember when he encouraged Mohinder to shoot him, and even pressed his forehead against the gun? No surprise, Sylar ain't playin' with a full deck. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:00, 27 November 2007 (EST)
- The man takes people's brains and does stuff with them. I really don't think him risking his life so he can test his new toy is unusual. I'm more freaked out about him and Maya making out outside the room where Alejandro lay dead. --PeterDawson 01:12, 27 November 2007 (EST)
- Thing is, when he encouraged Mohinder to shoot him and pressed his forehead against the gun, he was 101% sure his power was back and that he could stop the bullet before it hit him. And I think everyone is freaked out about him and Maya making out, but I still don't think he made that decision lightly. I mean, there was a higher chance he'll die (Maya has never been able to show absolutely any control over her ability before) than live. He couldn't have died either way, because Adam as a bad guy simply isn't enough, imo. Too bad Alejandro is gone though, I liked how the actor almost always showed him as completely freaked out. Cook Lake
I'm having a hard time finding any real-world images of Cook Lake, VA. It's in Cameron Run Regional Park in Alexandria, VA, but finding an image is proving very difficult for me. Either there's not a lot online, or I'm blind to it. In either case, there's a really nice establishing shot at the beginning of the scene--Maya and Sylar are sitting in front of the lake, which is centered on screen. We can use that as the lead image for the article. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:58, 27 November 2007 (EST)
- [3], taken from http://www.pinedaleonline.com/photogallery/forestservice/home.htm. Not quite sure if it qualifies under fair use and it's too late for me (8 AM) to read the whole fair use article. If you think it's okay, you have my blessing :) Arnor 01:34, 27 November 2007 (EST)
Strain 138
- ...is redlinked here and on the Story Development (ugh). Does it really need its own article? It's still a strain of the Shanti virus--why not just use the existing article?--Hardvice (talk) 01:07, 27 November 2007 (EST)
- Agree entirely. Strain 138 should only be a section of the Shanti virus article. (Admin 01:10, 27 November 2007 (EST))
- Yeah, it really doesn't need more than a footnote, unless they really start to dive in-depth about how the strain is different or something. --PeterDawson 01:23, 27 November 2007 (EST)
- Really? I thought it was fairly important, since it's THE strain that has the power to wipe out all of mankind - Mohinder and Victoria both mention it, so I can only assume that other strains don't have the ability to kill everyone if so much as a drop is released. Arnor 01:28, 27 November 2007 (EST)
- It definitely doesn't need its own article, but I do suspect it will wind up as its own section on Shanti virus (rather than simply a note). (Admin 01:30, 27 November 2007 (EST))
