Nana Dawson is the eldest of her Katrina-ravaged family. She is given Micah's care while Niki tends to some business.

Character History

Kindred

Niki brings Micah to stay with Nana in New Orleans. Niki knocks on her door, and Nana welcomes the two to New Orleans.

The Kindness of Strangers

Nana chastises Damon for bullying Micah and for wanting to watch a pay-per-view wrestling match when so many others in New Orleans have so little, due to Hurricane Katrina. Nana is watching a cooking show at the time, learning how to cut a flower design from a tomato. When Monica sarcastically asks who has time to learn such a thing, Nana answers, "Unfortunately, I do."

Fight or Flight

As Monica enters The Dawsons' home, she sees Micah playing the piano. Nana states that it is wonderful to "have a musician in the house again" and leaves the two alone.

Four Months Ago...

At D.L.'s funeral, Nana tells Niki that she will be at her disposal if she needs anything.

Truth & Consequences

Nana tells Damon to tell Micah everything he knows about the guys who stole Micah's backpack. Later, Nana says that she is going to call the police and that Damon will tell them everything.

Graphic Novel:Rebellion, Part 1

Nana is revealed to be abducted along with Monica and Damon (mistaken for Micah), as possibly one of the evolved humans that are being hunted by Danko's team. She is listed as being aboard Flight 195 when it crashes. Micah assumes all aboard have perished and begins altering the flight manifest.
