Besides Heroes, D. Elliot Woods has been a guest actor in many other television series, including playing the guy to Dave's right in the episode What About What Was Supposed to Be... (2006) of What About Brian, a man in the episode Can't We All Get a Lung? (2006) of Boston Legal, and "Vince" in the episode Helicopter (2007) of Drake and Josh.
D. Elliot Woods acted in several films including portraying a cop in the television film Fugitive Nights: Danger in the Desert (1993) and the moviehouse film The Glass House (2001). He also played "Councilman Jordan" in Family Tree (1999), a starfleet officer in Star Trek: Insurrection (1998), and the Prince of Morroco in Shakespeare's Merchant (2003).

- He was also his college's basketball team captain until he had a leg injury his junior year.
