Revision as of 01:05, 24 December 2009

This is a page-in-progress, and while I appreciate all efforts to assist in sorting out the timeline, on this page I would appreciate it if no one makes edits to the page proper, but discusses it on the discussion page. Thanks. --Ricard Desi

12/02/09 - Okay, hang on. I'm going to start with the episodes first (since the GNs have a tendency to "bend" the show a bit), and we'll work with explicit date references first. Then it'll be "Last night, we flew." and "Homecoming is three weeks from today." and other stuff like that. Finally, fitting things in-between. Hoo boy. --Ricard Desi

Volume One

SIGNIFICANT NOTES

  • S1.1.10 - Fudge - (Eclipse Day) The Bishop game is "next week", Homecoming is "three weeks from today".
  • S1.1.17 - The Painter - (Eclipse Day) Isaac has been chasing "for months".
  • S1.2.14 - Drawing the Future - Arthur was diagnosed with depression at age 23.

Chapter One - "Genesis"

Conclusions

    • Three days before Eclipse Day was likely a weekday.
    • Eclipse Day is a weekday.
    • Eclipse Day is probably in September 2006.
    • The day after Eclipse Day is a weekday.
      • Eclipse Day is very likely either a Monday or Thursday in September 2006 (September 4, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28)
    • Homecoming is three weeks after Eclipse Day.

Chapter Two - "Don't Look Back"

Conclusions

    • Claire's day is Monday, October 2, 2006. The train fire was "yesterday", making Eclipse Day Sunday, October 1, 2006.
    • Hiro says he learned how to use his power "yesterday". He learned how the day BEFORE the Eclipse.

Contradictions

    • In Genesis, the Eclipse Day is implied to be a weekday. In Don't Look Back, the Eclipse Day is explicitly a Sunday. Because of the explicit date on the newspaper, the explicit date wins out.
