After finding out that Isaac's new comic book is incomplete (it has pictures but no words), Hiro and Ando decide to return to Isaac's apartment. Sylar is still painting the future at Isaac's apartment, and visualizes that he will become the bomb that kills approximately half of NYC. Sylar then phones Mohinder for help, trying to understand why he would do such a thing. But Mohinder tries to get Sylar to turn himself in instead of figure it out. He calls 911 on his cellphone and Sylar notices this with his super-hearing and hangs up. So Sylar calls his mom instead and she agrees for him to come home and visit her.

Hiro and Ando arrive while Sylar was on the phone in the next room. They notice Isaac's dead body and Sylar in the next room, so they hid behind one of Isaac's paintings, but Sylar heard their heartbeats. Just before Sylar telekinetically moves the painting away, Hiro teleports himself and Ando to the outside alley. Sylar leaves to his mother's apartment and they follow him there.

Peter talks to Claire at the Petrelli mansion, trying to convince her to stay in NYC and help him, when Claire remarks how Peter's potential exploding is like Ted's ability. Claire explains to Peter and Nathan about what happened with Ted. Nathan calls Linderman, and tells him that he thinks they have a new problem.

Mr. Bennet, Ted and Matt are at a car lot to get a car to take them to NYC. Mr. Bennet stops Matt from phoning home. Ted defrosts the car with his power of induced radioactivity and they leave.

Nathan meets with Thompson in his campaign office, and we briefly hear some of their discussion about Ted. Nathan is upset about not being told everything. Meanwhile, Peter and Claire arrive to visit Nathan, but Claire sees Thompson and decides not to go in. She explains to Peter that her adopted father, Mr. Bennet, used to worked for Thompson. Back in the Gray's household, Sylar arrives wearing the same glasses as he did in Six Months Ago. He decides to fix one of his father's old clocks, and his mother laments on how watchmaking is not a real profession, and suggests that he become an investment banker. He asks his mother to say it's okay that he doesn't have to be special, and can just remain a watchmaker. However, his mother refuses, saying she knows Sylar is special and he could even be President if he wanted to. So Sylar shows his mother just how special he is by creating a snowglobe combining his powers of cryokinesis and telekinesis. His mother is very impressed; but when he cuts her by accident with one of the snowglobes, she gets upset and locks herself in her bedroom.

D.L. and Jessica go to Linderman's casino looking for Micah. Together, they discover Linderman's been keeping tabs their family for years, and conclude that they are some sort of science experiment for Linderman. They also find that Linderman left for NYC and decide to follow him there to continue their search.

Meanwhile, Micah, who is being held at in a skyrise building, discovers that Candace is impersonating his mom. He tries to escape, but Candace changes the appearance of the corridors such that he cannot find a way out.

Peter and Claire run into Matt, Mr. Bennet and Ted on the street. Peter absorbs Ted's ability and tries to control it.

Back at Mrs. Gray's apartment, Sylar convinces his mom to leave her bedroom, but she tries to kill Sylar with scissors and gets killed in self-defense. Just then, Hiro freezes time, enters the room and is about to kill Sylar with his sword when time resumes and Sylar catches the sword with his left hand. Sylar freezes the sword and tells Hiro to finish him. Just then, Ando comes through the door and distracts Sylar. Hiro grabs Ando and teleports them back to Isaac's apartment, but Hiro's sword is broken in half from the freezing.
