Ishi Nakamura (中村伊詩, Nakamura Ishi) was the wife of Kaito Nakamura and mother of Hiro and Kimiko.
Character History
Graphic Novel:The Crane
Hiro recalls that his mother named him after Hiroshima "so that we would never forget".
Five Years Gone
While interrogating "past" Hiro, Matt Parkman reads out his profile "Name: Hiro Nakamura. Born: Osaka, Japan to Kaito and Ishi."
Cautionary Tales
In an effort to convince his father to not accept his upcoming death, Hiro teleports Kaito to Aoyama Cemetery in 1990 to re-witness Ishi's funeral. Kaito was and is very distressed and saddened by the funeral, but this does not sway him in his conviction that his death must play out as it originally happened. Both Hiro and Kaito pay their respects.
Graphic Novel:Past Experience
Ishi Nakamura's daughter, Kimiko, recalls that as a child, she enjoyed the act of "ikebani", or arranging flowers, with her mother.
Notes
- Ishi Nakamura named her son Hiro to commemorate his grandfather's experience in Hiroshima (The Crane). It is unknown whether this grandparent is the father of Ishi or of Kaito.
