DO you know the people at www.the-owi.com and www.herosite.net? the-owi has got interviews with Tim Kring, Matthew John Armstrong and Malcolm McDowell, all of who I would like to do interviews with. www.herosite.net has got Christopher Eccleston and Missy Peregrym who I would also like to do interviews with. I was wondering if you could ask them where they got their contact details from/how they got the interviews. Thanks. --Skywalkerrbf 13:09, 23 August 2008 (EDT) |

* Yes, I know them both. Dave at the OWI often scores some great interviews, though he doesn't get a whole lot of traffic. That's one of the reasons we published his interview with Tim Kring at Heroes Wiki. Craig at herosite has a lot of really good inside connections--he actually helped design 9thwonders.com. I wouldn't feel comfortable pimping them for contact information, though, as that's just not something I feel comfortable doing. Also, a lot of those interviews are really terrific, and I'd be afraid of treading on territory that's already been trod. I mean, multiple interviews are fine for some actors, but I'd just be careful about targeting people simply because other people have already interviewed them. -- 13:18, 23 August 2008 (EDT) |

Grounded
- FYI I added Mark Sable's "Grounded" and "Hazed" into the Amazon product rotation. (Admin 00:19, 1 June 2008 (EDT))
- Oh, cool, I'll let him know. Thanks--what a great idea! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 00:38, 1 June 2008 (EDT)
- Is that easy to do? I sent Ryan by e-mail the transcription of the last part of the R.D. Hall interview, so I've a few ideas about products to add for that interview.--MiamiVolts (talk) 21:36, 8 June 2008 (EDT)

Just to let everybody know that my wife's water broke, so we're heading to the hospital in a little bit...and I'll probably be in and out of commission over the next week or so. See ya! -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 17:11, 1 June 2008 (EDT)

- Thanks, guys! We're leaving for the hospital in about 10 minutes, now that the kids are all safe and settled at the sitter's. We're excited, but still pretty calm and collected. Thanks for the good wishes! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 19:28, 1 June 2008 (EDT)

Hi
Hi Ryan
My name is Matej and I run Heroes fansite called Heroes Television ( http://www.heroestelevision.com/ )
Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi
Also, if you have any Heroes scoop/news that you think it might be something I could blog about, fell free to contact me - I will credit you.
Cheers!
- Hey, Matej! Love your site! ... I've contacted you in the past through the contact form on your site, but I had trouble accessing it yesterday--it seemed to be down, or the link I had used in the past was dead. In any case, it would be much easier for me to contact you directly. Feel free to email me your information, and I'll keep you updated on any news I might have. My address is ryangibsonstewart at heroeswiki dot com.
In the meantime, I recently interviewed Mark Sable about his work as a graphic novel writer with Heroes, especially his work on his latest novel set Faces. The interview can be found at this link: http://heroeswiki.com/Interview:Mark_Sable. Feel free to post at your site. Hope to hear from you soon! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 06:43, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
Artwork
Badower's part 1 artwork is up now at his blog, and he answers a couple questions at 9thwonders here.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:43, 4 June 2008 (EDT)

Hall interview
Many, many thanks, Ryan. You might want to add it up top with Sable. Therequiembellishere 22:35, 8 June 2008 (EDT)
- Thanks go to MiamiVolts who transcribed half the thing...We're going to wait until the other half is done to publicize it and link to it...but feel free to read and enjoy the second half of it! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 22:42, 8 June 2008 (EDT)
Sabine
- Did they ever make it clear that it was in fact Julian that was her significant other? I got the impression that it was actually the Hartsdale duplicate the entire time... or at least that it wasn't yet clear which one she was actually with. (Admin 00:54, 10 June 2008 (EDT))
- Right, it was the Hartsdale guy, the one she killed, right? Isn't that what I put? -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 00:55, 10 June 2008 (EDT)
- The link text says Julian, but the link is actually to the Hartsdale duplicate. I dont know if that was intentional or not, but seems ok to me either way. I didnt notice it linked to the duplicate's article until after I left you the message. (Admin 00:56, 10 June 2008 (EDT))
- Doesn't matter to me either way. I just thought it was an appropriate way to link to the right guy, but to have it appear incorrect, sort of mirroring the way that Sabine thought it was one guy but it was really another. We can make it more clear if you want, I just thought it was kind of sly. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 00:58, 10 June 2008 (EDT)
- Yeah, I don't mind it either. All I cared about was that it linked to the right article which it does. :) (Admin 00:59, 10 June 2008 (EDT))

The new Linderman
- I saw your comment: evsdropr is the new Linderman: the man behind the curtain pulling all the strings... indeed, it does seem that evsdropr gets around. I dunno if it's a man, though... :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 02:53, 10 June 2008 (EDT)

You are now part of heroes! I would LOVE to help out a artist/writer so mutch! If you ever know enyone who wants some help then I would LOVE to do it, thanks --Skywalkerrbf 11:30, 10 June 2008 (EDT)
- Check out Jason's blog and the blogs of the other graphic novel artists, then. Sometimes they give shout-outs to those that help them.--MiamiVolts (talk) 11:33, 10 June 2008 (EDT)
- Yeah, Jason's a good guy. We met up for lunch in NYC last year, and we write a lot and help each other with various Heroes-related tasks. Jason's really generous with the shout outs, isn't he! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 12:49, 10 June 2008 (EDT)
Interviews
Hey Ryan! Do you remember when you said to me you could give me a hand with phone interviews, like, software and stuff? Well, I'm probably going to have an interview with Javier Grillo-Marxuach, and I kinda need a hand... would you be able to help? Thanks!-- Lost Soul talk contribs 11:36, 10 June 2008 (EDT)
- Sure! (And I can't wait for the interview--good score!) I use FreeConferenceCall. It's a completely free service you can sign up for, no strings attached. After you sign up, you'll get a phone number. It's based in America, but I believe you can use a calling card or even just dial the number, albeit with extra prefix numbers. I'm not sure about calling from England (that's where you are, right?), but I know Jason Badower used the service in Australia with minimal problems. Anyway, when you sign up for the service, you get a phone number. It's not a toll free number, so it's considered a long distance call...but I have free long distance at home and it doesn't cost anything to call long distance on my cell phone either, so it wasn't an issue for me. But you work out a time that you and Javier both call the number. You'll also have to give Javier the access number. There's other minor stuff you'll have to do once you get the phone number, like dial a passcode, an access number, and a code to start recording, but it's pretty user-friendly. If you'd like, you and I can do a practice call. Email me at ryangibsonstewart at heroeswiki dot com, and I'd be more than willing to do a run through with you. Anything for a good interview with a Lost producer! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 12:56, 10 June 2008 (EDT)
- So you call it from your own cell? And it records the convo? Sounds great! Is it easy to set up and things? :)-- Lost Soul talk contribs 13:42, 10 June 2008 (EDT)
- I think that's three yeses. And afterwards, you can either listen to the recording by calling in or download it as a .wav file. I recommend downloading it and playing it back in an audio editor such as Audacity (which is free). Some of the recording may not be clear and so it may take you listening to it a few times to understand it when transcribing. Also, most audio editors let you select a small portion of the file for repeated playback.--MiamiVolts (talk) 13:48, 10 June 2008 (EDT)
- Yeah, very easy. (Thanks for the good advice, Miami.) You don't have to use your cell phone, though--any phone will do. And not that you need it for this interview, but you can actually have a whole bunch of people on the line at a time. Also, you do have to tell the system (using a code) to record the conversation--it doesn't do it automatically. But the whole thing is very user-friendly--start an account and go from there. If you need more help or want to do a practice call, let me know. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 14:47, 10 June 2008 (EDT)
- Would he be able to call me (so he gets charged and not me), and I still record it and get it on my computer? I don't really get that part... Thanks again for your help, both of you!-- Lost Soul talk contribs 15:04, 10 June 2008 (EDT)
- No. You both call the service. It will cost you both the cost of a long distance call, whatever that may be for you. The service records the call. Then you download the recording. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 15:06, 10 June 2008 (EDT)
- Think of it rather like a private "party" line, heh. Except that it has a recording feature. You both have to call a third party so that party (the computer) can do the recording for you.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:10, 10 June 2008 (EDT)

Edit summary: "(update with links, rmv ass tracker stuff (or at least keep it to a minimum))"
"ass tracker?" I don't know what kind of wiki you think this is, Ryan. ;) Hope things are well with Oscar. I check your wife's blog from time to time for updates. (Admin 22:41, 10 June 2008 (EDT))

Stunts and partnerships
Did you mean to comment out Tony Donno from Template:Stunts? Also, can you look at User:MiamiVolts/List of Company Partnerships and add your feedback? Except for a few pics, I think it's ready to move to the mainspace.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:29, 12 June 2008 (EDT)
- All red links on the stunts template were commented out so we don't look like Red Square. I fixed it--thanks! I'll leave my comments on discussion page. I'll also grab those pics for you if you want... -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 23:36, 12 June 2008 (EDT)
- If you could grab those 3 screenshots, that'd be great. A better shot of Mohinder with Elle (maybe from Powerless?) would be good too. I'll try and switch it to use wikitable format now.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:48, 12 June 2008 (EDT)
- Thanks for fixing the images. If you're still up; go ahead and take another look.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:31, 13 June 2008 (EDT)
- If it's okay, can you move the partnerships' page? I think the current page needs to be deleted to make way for the move.--MiamiVolts (talk) 18:48, 13 June 2008 (EDT)
- I was going to try to blank the page so that it would preserve the history, but I still had to delete it. I think there's a way to merge it or something (I remember we did something like that with Peter vs. Sylar, I think) but I forget now, and it's not that important I guess... -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 19:07, 13 June 2008 (EDT)
- We could have blanked the mainspace page, then manually copied the userpage and pasted it into the edit box for the mainspace one, but I think a move was cleaner since it's a different format and there wasn't that much history yet (it is still a rather new article).--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:26, 14 June 2008 (EDT)

Happy Father's Day
Hope you had a good father's day at camp.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:22, 15 June 2008 (EDT)
- Thanks, Miami! Yeah, I did (it was the first day of camp). It was funny--this morning my wife brought me breakfast in bed, a huge basket of gifts...and a baby with a dirty diaper. Ahh, fatherhood! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 23:28, 15 June 2008 (EDT)
Spelling
Does every spelling on the site have to be the "americanized" version because the site is American? If so, that's fine, you'll just have to excuse me if I put any "english" spellings in instead! (tyres, grey etc.) -- Friskymuffin - (talk) 11:22, 17 June 2008 (EDT)
- When it comes to article names, yes. When it comes to text within an article I'd recommend trying to keep it in American English, but if you forget I'm sure someone will change it later. :) (Admin 11:27, 17 June 2008 (EDT))
- It's really more a matter of standardization than because the site is hosted in America. We just need to be consistent. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 20:30, 17 June 2008 (EDT)
- I think it's because the show is American. The HP Wiki is American hosted but a British book and Commonwealth spelling is used. Therequiembellishere 18:08, 19 June 2008 (EDT)

IMDbPro?
Hey Ryan! I was just wondering if you had access to IMDbPro? It's an excellent resource, and is a great way of getting contact details for Heroes people. As you may or may not know, I've been doing interviews for Lostpedia, and have reached many of the main cast of that show through IMDbPro. If you like, I could get some details for you? Thanks,-- Lost Soul talk contribs 11:26, 19 June 2008 (EDT)
- Does it have contact information for Cristine Rose? There's been some interest in getting an interview with her. By the way, great job bringing the interviews to Lostpedia. I'm pleased to see that they were warmly welcomed there. (Admin 11:30, 19 June 2008 (EDT))
- Unfortunately not. However, I can work on getting a list together for you, which I can then email to Ryan?-- Lost Soul talk contribs 15:11, 19 June 2008 (EDT)
- If you're looking to contact actors/directors, there's another way to go besides IMDb. Try checking for their talent agent/agency at the Association of Talent Agents (ATA) website. Cristine Rose's agent's information is there...--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:28, 19 June 2008 (EDT)
- Hmmm, I did that before too. But, think that IMDb is better. Cheers for the tip. :)-- Lost Soul talk contribs 15:46, 19 June 2008 (EDT)
- I don't have access to IMDbPro, but from what I've seen of it, it would be an excellent resource. I have Chrstine Rose's contact info (well, I have contact info for her PR person). I was asked to contact Christine a little closer to September, which I will most likely do. I would love it if you sent me a list, Lost Soul. My email address is ryangibsonstewart at heroeswiki dot com. By the way, excellent interviews you've done at lostpedia! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 09:22, 21 June 2008 (EDT)
- Thank you very much! I sent you a reply email - my free trial for IMDbPro only lasts till Wednesday, so I want to make use of it! :)-- Lost Soul talk contribs 03:27, 22 June 2008 (EDT)
- Thanks, LS. The stuff you sent me is terrific, and I can't wait to dig through it at the end of the summer.... Good luck with your Lost interviews--and don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 09:52, 22 June 2008 (EDT)
- That's alright - anything to help. As I asked in my email, would you like me to contact some people for you, and then forward anyone who replies to you? If not, then that's fine - I don't want to step on your toes, by any means! - but I'd be happy to help. :)-- Lost Soul talk contribs 11:08, 22 June 2008 (EDT)
- Feel free. I don't have anybody in mind particularly (the majority of my interviews just sort of seem to happen, rather than being the result of a lot of pursuing and chasing people down), but if you'd like to contact some people for me, feel free. And there's certainly no reason why I need to do all the interviews. I read your interview with David Fury and thought it was terrific. You should certainly feel free to conduct a Heroes interview if you'd like! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 16:05, 22 June 2008 (EDT)
- Are you sure? Because I'll only do it if you're absolutely certain it's okay - you've always been the one who does the interviews, and I really don't want to encroach on your territory in any way. I will send a few emails, though, and keep them updated. I'll also email you the copy of the email I will send - I tend to use the same basic framework, and only change the names. Oh, and thank you for your comments, I appreciate it! Thanks so much, Ryan!-- Lost Soul talk contribs 16:45, 22 June 2008 (EDT)
- Absolutely sure. I think it'd be good to have more voices than just mine out there. Plus, I tend to interview people who interest me the most, so it'd be nice to have some interviews in other areas to be a little more well-rounded. And please use me as much as you need for help, advice, etc. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 15:46, 23 June 2008 (EDT)

If not, then that's fine - I don't want to step on your toes, by any means! - but I'd be happy to help. :)-- Lost Soul talk contribs 11:08, 22 June 2008 (EDT)
- Thank you very much! I sent you a reply email - my free trial for IMDbPro only lasts till Wednesday, so I want to make use of it! :)-- Lost Soul talk contribs 03:27, 22 June 2008 (EDT)
- Hmmm, I did that before too. But, think that IMDb is better. Cheers for the tip. :)-- Lost Soul talk contribs 15:46, 19 June 2008 (EDT)
- Unfortunately not. However, I can work on getting a list together for you, which I can then email to Ryan?-- Lost Soul talk contribs 15:11, 19 June 2008 (EDT)

Interview a colorist?
Just out of curiosity, has that ever crossed your mind? --SacValleyDweller (talk) 14:32, 24 June 2008 (EDT)
- Yep! I've talked briefly with Edgar Delgado, Chris Sotomayor, and Annette Kwok. And of course Jason Badower...But I've never really developed a relationship with them to the point where I felt comfortable enough to ask to an interview...and it's been so long now I'm sure they wouldn't remember me. But I'm not opposed to the idea. The only colorist I have really "targeted" (though unsuccessfully) is Peter Steigerwald. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 21:56, 24 June 2008 (EDT)
New stuff
CBR one-shot finally came out! And Jason Badower wrote on his blog about his set visit last Friday to the Heroes lot. Lots of good reading and a few spoilers. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 04:20, 2 July 2008 (EDT)
- Thanks for keeping me in the loop and letting me know of good updates. I'll go check them both out now... -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 10:16, 2 July 2008 (EDT)
Peter Steigerweld
Ryan, it's 12, not 10. You know what I mean. I'm refraining from saying more for those avoiding spoilers. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:39, 3 July 2008 (EDT)
- Thanks for the correction. I guess the missing two would be the German, and take your pick of evsdropr, Leonard Cushing, and any of the others... -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment)
New York
Hey Ryan, I'm heading out to Times Square in New York for a few days in a couple of weeks, so if any articles on the wiki need images or info from there, I could get some? Just thought I'd suggest it to you in case you thought we needed anything. -- Friskymuffin - (talk) 12:10, 4 July 2008 (EDT)

GNs
- I don't really keep up to date with the graphic novels and Heroes Evolutions, so I'm a bit out of the loop. What's this I hear about 10 new characters being created... will they make their way into the show/webisodes? Or can't you tell me because of spoilers? I think maybe it would be a good idea to have a page on here which chronicles the events of HE so they can be followed by an outsider who doesn't want to get involved. What do you think? Thanks,-- Lost Soul talk contribs 09:41, 6 July 2008 (EDT)
- I believe they've already been introduced. Peter Steigerwald created profiles for twelve new characters, I believe. They are the main characters who have been introduced this summer, including Donna Dunlap, Thompson, Jr., Felicia, Sabine Hazel, Julien Dumont, Bianca Karina, Gael Cruz, Devin Patterson, and some others. For the latest on what's happening in Heroes Evolutions, there's Template:LatestEvolutions, which is front and center on the main page. For a more detailed review of what's been going on in the world of Evolutions, I suggest taking a look at NBC's week-by-week walk through. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 10:08, 6 July 2008 (EDT)
J. Levy
Any guesses as to whom J. Levy is? In the Behind the Scenes video, J. is listed along with Yule Caise on the clapper used for beginning film sequences. I would think maybe the cinematographer. Do you know?--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:35, 12 July 2008 (EDT)
- Nope, sorry. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 21:21, 12 July 2008 (EDT)
Interviews
I have already got my first 1!!!!! Its the Convenience store robber from season 1, I just need to think of some questions now lol. --Skywalkerrbf 11:39, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
- Congratulations! ... Yeah, thinking of enough content for the interview is the trouble with interviewing actors who play smalller roles. But getting the actors who play bigger roles is sometimes challenging because they're not as available. *sigh* One idea I had for later on after the summer is to email a few questions to lots of the actors who play minor roles (I have had email exchanges with somewhere between 20 and 40, I think) and see what they have to say, and then compiling all their responses in one interview. It would eliminate the need to come up with enough questions to fill an interview (without sounding like I'm stretching), and it would be an interesting read because it would have lots of different perspectives. Hmmm... -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 14:10, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
- I got two more! Captain Baldwin and Lynette from the burnt toast diner. Lol this realy excites me! Yer I have done somthing similar. I plan to intervierview guest stars and work up, but i also think that the guest stars have some good things to say! I have a template for the interviews so the questions will be very similar for everyone. --Skywalkerrbf 16:28, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
- No, I don't plan to have a bunch of interviews with guest stars, I plan to send a few questions to bunch of guest stars and compile them into one interview. Oh well. Congrats on scoring some interviews. Sally Champlin and I have exchanged a number of emails, and she asked me to do some work for her. Tell her I say hello! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 20:56, 14 July 2008 (EDT)

I also got my first rejection form Markus Flanagan but hey the other guy is off the hook! --Skywalkerrbf 03:08, 15 July 2008 (EDT)

kilohoku.com transcripts
Hi Ryan, do you have the contact info. for the maintainer of the kilohoku.com transcripts? The domain registration expired, so now the website is unaccessible. We're having a discussion regarding "posthuman" vs. "evolved human" on Talk:List of evolved humans, where it would be helpful to have access to the transcripts. Maybe you still have them offline and can add your input?--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:49, 27 July 2008 (EDT)
- I do have contact info for the kilohoku transcriber. I also have all the transcripts from season one and two. What exactly do you want to know? -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 12:08, 30 July 2008 (EDT)
- Cool! Can you contact the transcriber and let him/her know the domain registration has expired? I'm trying to find out if the term "evolved human" has been mentioned in one of the episodes. Since we now have "posthuman" in one of the assignment tracker entries, there is discussion as to whether we should rename the category and related pages to use the new term "posthuman" instead.--MiamiVolts (talk) 07:04, 31 July 2008 (EDT)
- I'll do some searching through my transcripts when I get home from camp this weekend. Miami, if you don't mind, send me an email to remind me. Thanks! -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 09:21, 31 July 2008 (EDT)

- I've searched the transcripts for Seasons One and Two. The word "posthuman" was never used, nor was the term "evolved human", though Mohinder talks extensively about humans and evolution together (Genesis). Assignment tracker files use the term "posthuman", but also refer to "evolutionary anomaly class". I think this is a case of two near canon sources both using similar terms. Neither is ranked above the other, and one does not negate the other. There is no reason the two can't coexist. Six of one, half-dozen of the other. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 16:47, 2 August 2008 (EDT)
- Thanks, Ryan. So do you want to add in your two cents about how they should co-exist, and perhaps how to include both in the cat name (are you suggesting using "evolved posthumans"???), to Talk:List of evolved humans#Posthuman?--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:40, 2 August 2008 (EDT)
Copple of bits
I just sent you a email if you wouldn't mind reading it :). Also my questions for Yule Caise will have to be sent soon as as he has written two graphics novels I thought I would give you some time to have a look. I was ment to be back yesterday but my plane was delayed for 23 hours, so I am delaying the question submittion for a little bit. --Skywalkerrbf 09:38, 10 August 2008 (EDT)

Squishing Images
In response to your recent changes note about squishing images, I thought that all images had to adhere to the standard image sizes given? I presume that's what HiroDynoSlayer thought as well when he uploaded it... -- Friskymuffin - (talk) 15:23, 12 August 2008 (EDT)
- The standard size for image files only applies mainly to images being used in portals and infoboxes. If we can make images in galleries also match that size, that's terrific--but we should never do so at the expense of the quality of the image. Squishing images is never a good idea. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 15:27, 12 August 2008 (EDT)
- Okay, thanks for clearing that up :) -- Friskymuffin - (talk) 15:32, 12 August 2008 (EDT)
Manon Dave
Hi, Ryangibsonstewart! Below is a message copied from Friskymuffin's talk page, as I saw you had contributed to the article in question. Let me know what you think.
- Hello, Friskymuffin. I am a Wikipedia editor who while recently doing a little research noted an article that you created here. The article in question is Manon Dave, who the article credits as the Season 2 Composer for Heroes. The correct composer credits for the series are Lisa Coleman and Wendy Melvoin- Manon Dave appears to be a musician on Myspace attempting to pad his resume by falsifying articles on sites with user-submitted content. If you would like to correct the information and/or delete the page, or alternately if you can find any corroborating information to show that Manon Dave is indeed associated with the show, please let me know, as it means that I would be in error. Thank you for your time! —SRadnan121 15:30, 12 August 2008 (EDT)
Thank you, --SRadnan121 15:44, 12 August 2008 (EDT)
- Thanks, that's good information. I'll add a nomination for deletion on the page. I can't remember where I originally found the information about Manon Dave, but I usually archive my research a little bit on the talk pages. It appears that all the websites I found do indeed appear to be user-contributed websites. It's interesting to note that Memory Alpha and IMDb also deleted information about him. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 15:54, 12 August 2008 (EDT)

Big Interview News
I have just about got a interview with Jimmy Jean-Louis! The only problem is he wants to do it over the phone. I live in the UK but I am willing to ring him, I was just wondering how you recorded you interviews, Thanks. --Skywalkerrbf 17:19, 19 August 2008 (EDT)
- Congratulations! I use freeconferencecall.com. I used it when I interviewed Jason Badower, so I know it can be accessed from outside the United States. It costs whatever it costs you to call a long distance number to the U.S., and it would cost Jimmy the same. It's a really easy service to use, very user-friendly, and you can download a digital file of the conversation when you're done. The most difficult part is transcribing the interview in the end--what a pain! I suggest testing it out first... Let me know if you need more info. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 17:34, 19 August 2008 (EDT)
- Thanks a lot. If Jimmy doesn't want to pay then would you mind doing it for me? I hope he won't as I am a huge fan of his but I need a backup plan :). --Skywalkerrbf 17:41, 19 August 2008 (EDT)
- He would only have to pay the cost of a long distance phone call. If he doesn't want to make that call, you're kinda stuck. I suppose you could call him and hold up a tape recorder to the phone :) but I don't know of any other free services. I would gladly do the interview for you, but I think you're very capable and I have a feeling it will work out just fine. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 17:56, 19 August 2008 (EDT)

Evs Dropper's Blog
Well, I *was* working on the page, but you beat me to saving a first draft, so I'll let you finish before I make changes. I think the name should be Blog, not blog, cause the page itself uses "Blog" capitalized for the title so it's a proper name. I also think Image:Evsdropr's Blog.jpg should be in the infobox and Image:Evs Dropper's blog.jpg be in the gallery with a note about the UPC translation of the barcode.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:54, 21 August 2008 (EDT)
- Oh, sorry if I stepped on any toes--it was a pretty easy article to write since it's mostly just copying and pasting blog entries. Hiro's blog is listed with a capital B also, but that doesn't mean that we capitalize it. "Blog" is not a proper name, so it doesn't fit the naming conventions for article names. I don't really care what image is used for the infobox, I just personally can't stand the screenshots of the entire website page and avoid them if I can...but that's just me. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 16:01, 21 August 2008 (EDT)
- According to Help:Style, titles of works should be capitalized as by their authors when the capitalization differs from the standard rules. That's what I was going by, and would also apply to Hiro's Blog assuming we are considering the Evolution websites as "works". I personally prefer the entire website page screenshot for this article, as the page doesn't appear to have one main logo. However, if we're going to use an icon for the blog, wouldn't it be better to use the question mark symbol that represents Evsdropr (see here for a big image of it)?--MiamiVolts (talk) 21:26, 21 August 2008 (EDT)
- I think a question mark is a silly image to use, personally. To each his own, I guess. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 22:38, 21 August 2008 (EDT)

Do you know the people at
DO you know the people at www.the-owi.com and www.herosite.net? the-owi has got interviews with Tim Kring, Matthew John Armstrong and Malcolm McDowell, all of who I would like to do interviews with. www.herosite.net has got Christopher Eccleston and Missy Peregrym who I would also like to do interviews with. I was wondering if you could ask them where they got their contact details from/how they got the interviews. Thanks. --Skywalkerrbf 13:09, 23 August 2008 (EDT)
- Yes, I know them both. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 13:18, 23 August 2008 (EDT)
