- Took them over three volumes but they finally explained it! --Peter 22:13, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
- I seriously doubt they had that planned when the series started. -- Tristan0709 talk 22:18, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
- Right. That's called reconning. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:22, 13 April 2009 (ED
- No. It's RETCONNING. :) --Arkillion 22:29, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
- Yes, you're right. I forgot the T. Thanks. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:31, 13 April 2009 (EDT)

Does anyone else also think Charles D.'s mystery ability now being revealed is also a part of this Retconning thing?--Anthony Gooch 23:36, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
- Yes. --Crazylicious 23:37, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
- What about Sylar's hobbies, that he subconciously got it from his dad? Hmmm...can anyone else think of anymore of these retcons (is that how it would be said?) off the top of their head?--Anthony Gooch 23:44, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
- All of Villains. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:00, 14 April 2009 (EDT)
- I'm glad I'm not the only one who couldn't stand that episode. Other than that, the catalyst, Arthur Petrelli, and basically everything after Volume One. -- Tristan0709 talk 00:18, 14 April 2009 (EDT)

New Abilities
Alice's (and Angela's) dad had an ability I haven't seen before. Like a shockwave. And what is Charles? Telepathy or did he copy it? --Peter 22:13, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
- Yeah, Mr.Shaw's ability is not one we have seen. It is not Microwave Emission because it didn't fry the guard, and its not Sound Manipulation, since it didn't make any sound. --TraverseTown 22:19, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
- Yeah, Mr. Shaw showed up out of nowhere with a shockwave ability. That was pretty cool. From the looks of it, Charles ability was the exact same telepathy (+ mind control) that Matt uses, so we should probably just call him a telepath until we receive further information. I'm just glad Arthur didn't show up, because that would greatly mess up the graphic novel continuity.--Tim Thomason 22:20, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
- I was just thinking that. But where was Maury? And wasn't Linderman with Arthur? --BoomerDay 22:27, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
- Linderman didn't meet Arthur until they served in the Vietnam War together in 1968. By that point, Angela and Arthur were already married, and Nathan was born. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:30, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
- But Liderman discovered his powers in Vietnam.......I knew this episode would create cotinuity errors......ugh. TomJs35713 22:33, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
- Actually Linderman discorvered his ability when he healed his mom's cancer (much before Vietnam). --Peter 22:35, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
- But he didn't know that it was him healing her, did he? He just thought it was some medical miracle. TomJs35713 22:45, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
- I'm pretty sure he knew it was him. Reread Graphic Novel:War Buddies, Part 3 --Peter 22:48, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
- There are no continuity issues with Linderman in this episode. At some point in the past, Linderman healed his mother. His parents were scared of him and kicked him out of the house. Some point later, prior to January 1961, he went to live in Coyote Sands. He went to Vietnam prior to November 1968, and helped form the Company in 1977. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:33, 13 April 2009 (EDT)

Summaries
Just a few notes about how we should be linking things when it comes to character summaries and other prose with content from this episode. Angela should only be referred to as Angela Petrelli for events in the present. In the past she was Angela Shaw, or just Angela. When referring to the episode, it's best to use [[Episode:1961|1961]] which will link to 1961. When referring to the year, it's best to use [[1961 (year)|1961]] which will link to 1961. Thanks, everybody! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:21, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
Lead Image
I was thinking the picture should be one of Linderman, Bishop, Charles and Angela all together. Maybe outside Angela and Alice's "cabin" or in the cafe. --Peter 22:27, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
- In the cafe sounds good. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:29, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
New characters and actors
Not many new characters, but a bunch of new actors. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:29, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
