* On Season Three, Week 10 of CBR's Behind the eclipse, Heroes writers Aron Coleite and Joe Pokaski confirmed that NBC used "scabs," or Non-WGA writers, to produce content during the 2008 Writers Strike without the consent of the Heroes creative staff. This calls into question the canoncy of GN's published during this period.
GNs listed with <font color=#FF0000>Red</font> issue numbers I personally consider deuterocanon (less than the near canon level of the Black numbered GNs and Heroes Evolutions) for the following reasons:
**GN's in <font color=#B452CD>pink</font> were either written during this period or directly relate to those that were. Their content has yet to be recognized by other media or confirmed canon/not canon by the Heroes creative staff to my own satisfaction.
# Some of the writers who wrote the red media were scabs , Writers who are not members of the WGA. These people were used by NBC create content in lieu of the WGA writers during the Writers Strike, during which the Heroes staff writers were not allowed to write anything for Heroes or exercise any oversight.
**GN's in <font color=#FF0000>red</font> were written during this period. They have been confirmed not canon to my satisfaction by Coleite and Pokaski by their following statement:
# The time frame in which all but GN 75 gn75 take place is out of synch with events in the rest of the Heroes story. Specifically, the following elements are out of synch:
:::...So things like the Sanjog arc or “Ben Franklin as a Hero,” that so had nothing to do with usblurbclose
::A) -- Nathan is a baby when Linderman visits Arthur in WB pt 5. However, Linda Tavara's encounter of Linderman in WB pt 7 places this this meeting at a point where Nathan would be older than his apparent age in WB pt 5.
::B) -- The Sanjog arc, the Hana and Drucker arc, and gn77 take place in 2008, significantly ahead of the point in the story where we left it in Powerless.
:::i) -- If the Company is destroyed, defeated, or otherwise rendered nonexistent, inoperative, or inert before then, this will cause major plot holes.
* I do believe that some of them are closer to canon than others

Notes

Colored media

  • On Season Three, Week 10 of CBR's Behind the eclipse, Heroes writers Aron Coleite and Joe Pokaski confirmed that NBC used "scabs," or Non-WGA writers, to produce content during the 2008 Writers Strike without the consent of the Heroes creative staff. This calls into question the canoncy of GN's published during this period.
    • GN's in pink were either written during this period or directly relate to those that were. Their content has yet to be recognized by other media or confirmed canon/not canon by the Heroes creative staff to my own satisfaction.
    • GN's in red were written during this period. They have been confirmed not canon to my satisfaction by Coleite and Pokaski by their following statement:
...So things like the Sanjog arc or “Ben Franklin as a Hero,” that so had nothing to do with us
