*** Yes, very much so. It was very much the regular ''Heroes'' staff (with [[Timm Keppler]] and [[Jim Martin]] leading the group, as far as I can tell) who designed the five-month-long Evs Dropper arc. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 21:17, 2 October 2008 (EDT)

Matt's Eyes

  • Did anyone notice that after Matt was eating whatever it was he was eating and put on the headphones his eyes went white like Issac's eyes when he is painting the future?--Iceman 09:19, 30 September 2008 (EDT)
    • Doesn't necessarily mean he's gonna paint the future... this episode was insane. Matt's eyes, Tracy/Niki AREN'T the same but Tracy was created, Peter in Jesse's body and taken out... So much we can't possibly explain yet.--Riddler 12:04, 30 September 2008 (EDT)
    • I think the eyes mean that he is like using his powers overtime.--Skywalkerrbf 12:07, 30 September 2008 (EDT)
      • I think Matt's using telepathy there to see what Usutu was seeing, but I'm not sure.--MiamiVolts (talk) 12:58, 30 September 2008 (EDT)
        • The way that I was looking at it was that if like Bob says anything that the brain controls Matt controls then if Matt could figure out a way to control other powers. If he could tell his brain to do what Usutu's or anyone else's brain is doing to give them the powers that they have that to some extent Matt could use anyone's power.--Iceman 13:05, 30 September 2008 (EDT)
    • The way that I saw it was that the thing in the bowl that Matt was eating worked like Mohinder's serum, except it was crude and didn't need to be injected into the bloodstream. Also, it needed a catalyst to work, much like Isaac originally needed cocaine to paint the future. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 19:08, 30 September 2008 (EDT)
      • The way I'm interpreting this development is that we will soon learn there are less archetypes of powers than we originally thought. One archetype deals with mind over matter. Another deals with fight or flight. There could be around a half dozen of these archetypes, and may overlap. Each archetype is essentially its own deviation in DNA, but manifest themselves differently based on an individual's personality. Meredith & Tracy may have the same archetypal ability, but for Meredith it manifests as fire, and for Tracy it manifests as ice. West & Nathan could both fly, but they fly in different ways. Same genetic deviation, but different manifestations based on personality. They may both also have the potential ability to move other objects with their mind, but simply haven't figured out how yet. Issac & Matt may have the same genetic deviation, but Matt's first manifested as telepathy and Issac's first manifested as precognition. Issac could have learned other psionic abilities over time, had TickTock not cut his life short. Matt may learn precognition now, but this may not come with artistic ability. Matt may have to express it in another way. - ZachsMind 21:44, 30 September 2008 (EDT)
  • The first two seasons have been looking at how "evolved" humans came to be due to genes. Yet, now I'm seeing this season taking a turn to explaining how the abilities came to be. Tracy being artificially designed by Dr. Zimmermann, Mohinder able to inject a serum that gives him abilities, Peter think that he is part of God's plan, and Matt getting a new ability by eating something and listening to something. I'm thinking when this season is over we're going to need to rethink calling those with powers evolved humans. On another note, I thought this volume would be about those found in level 5 - hence the title "villians" - yet most of them died off very quickly. I'm still waiting to see who the villians are, could it be ourselves? Whating to get powers/abilities artificially causing people to hate and be villianist? Maybe that is what Hiro saw in the future. --Pinkkeith 17:15, 1 October 2008 (EDT)
    • Can't remember the exact number (unless it is 12 since a dozen villians supposedly escaped) but a picture did have seven villians and out of those seven, 4 are still out there. - Cael 17:37, 1 October 2008 (EDT)

Note

I uploaded a number of screencaps from Mica browsing the networks to get info Jtime Someone can crop/import them if there is anything useful I hope. --Jtime 13:46, September 30, 2008 (EDT)

  • They're very useful, thank you! I already managed to pull some new interesting info off of one of them. (Admin 13:48, 30 September 2008 (EDT))
    • Yes, awesome info! I'll take care of cropping and de-watermarking later. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:01, 30 September 2008 (EDT)

Claire

I like her blue tank top in this episode. Anyone with me? :o --BloodyFox 22:34, September 30, 2008 (CEST)

Why Writers

Why did they had to kill off Bridget,The German, and Jesse so quick.I mean Bridget gets her's first scene on the show and she gets kill. Its like they don't like her. Then,The German gets kill by Knox. The German was cool, they should had him live.Last, but noisey,Slyar gets Jesse's brain just after he gets Peter out of his system. Not very cool.At least Knox got away and Flint got capture and put in his holding cell, but I wonder if their fates are already sealed.I hope they bring Echo in to fill Jesse's spot as Sound Manipulator for the show atleast.SPARTAN-077 17:46, 30 September 2008 (EDT)

Personally, I absolutely loved how they treated Bridget: a great scene in all aspects! I kinda agree with you on the German and (especially) Jesse though. Knox should be around for a while, given that he had his own graphic novel, but we might very well have seen the last of Flint. I'm guessing Volume three will be about re-capturing/killing the escapees one by one (or group by group), meaning that most of them will appear in a couple of episodes, and then be out of the story; a clever way to keep the action running - which is a promised change from season 2, and keeping the main characters busy, without allowing the storytelling to come out rushed. Pierre 18:14, 30 September 2008 (EDT)
      • Take a look at the spoiler talk page for some spoilers to do with this.--Skywalkerrbf 18:16, 30 September 2008 (EDT)
        • I rather not ;) Pierre 18:20, 30 September 2008 (EDT)

New actors and characters

The picture I uploaded of Elizabeth Ann Roberts is of a woman who was born in 1940 (though I don't think the picture is a recent one). I'm having a hard time believing that the woman who played Holly is really 68 years old. I wonder if I have the wrong Elizabeth Ann Roberts. The actress and the character look very similar, though, so I'm not sure...Any insights? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:16, 30 September 2008 (EDT)

  • I really like this way of creating checklists for new cast members and characters in each episode. Nice work, RGS! :) (Regarding Roberts, I'm all in the dark, but you have a valid point) Pierre 18:19, 30 September 2008 (EDT)
    • Thanks, Pierre--plus, it's fun to see the actors right next to the characters they play. I don't know where else we have something like that...Template:actor isn't perfect, but it gets the job done. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk)
    • I think the Elizabeth Ann Roberts you want is this one, who has done some recent tv series and films, such as Dawson Creek. I've no idea how old she is, but this one doesn't appear to be 68 years old. The headshot I uploaded of her is from July 30, 2008.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:07, 30 September 2008 (EDT)
      • Ah, yes, that would be the right one. I didn't think of searching for her without her middle name. July 30--that must have been just after she filmed this episode! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:35, 30 September 2008 (EDT)

Campaign manager

When Nathan was asking where Tracy was, was they guy who responded his Campaign manager?--Piemanmoo 19:12, 30 September 2008 (EDT)
Nope. It was an unnamed staff member, played by Adam Jamal Craig (see pics above). Pierre 19:16, 30 September 2008 (EDT)
I actually thought it was Marty...until I saw the credits (I think he's credited simply as "Aide"). And it makes sense that it would be a new guy--the people who worked on Nathan's campaign wouldn't necessarily be working for Malden. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:32, 30 September 2008 (EDT)
Regarding his credit, he is called "Staffer". Pierre 02:01, 1 October 2008 (EDT)

Summary

The summary needs quite a bit of help. It's a good first try and has some good stuff in it, but it doesn't reach the standards set by past summaries. It is too short and not detailed enough. It also has some speculation and perspective issues. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:34, 30 September 2008 (EDT)

  • I was actually writing a nice summary until Firefox gay'd out on me :/.--Citizen 21:45, 1 October 2008 (EDT)
    • . . . lovely phrasing.--Paronine 20:29, 2 October 2008 (EDT)

Personally, I found it funny.

Sylar's change of character was very amusing to me. I laughed when he started talking to the cops. And though it was in his normal character, I laughed REALLY hard when he said "She can't die" the way he did to Noah.--Riddler 01:35, 1 October 2008 (EDT)

  • Sylar asking for coffee was very humorous, and claiming to be Andrew Hanson (a la Audrey Hanson) was cool. :) But I wasn't amused by the Claire is misunderstood dialogue.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:39, 1 October 2008 (EDT)
    • I only found the "She can't die" funny because the way he said it sounded like a kid justifying himself for something he did wrong. It was just the way he said it.--Riddler 01:41, 1 October 2008 (EDT)
