* The first page of Monsters is mimicked in the first page of The Natural Order of Things, with a few differences. It should be noted that the general layout is the same and that from a quick glance, the two covers are mostly identical. This continues the trend of Season Three referencing Season One. |

Summary
His father's death causes Mohinder to reflect on their past together. In 1982, Mohinder listens to a story his grandmother tells him about the Hindu Goddess, Kali. In the present, Mohinder is in New York, NY, claiming his father's body at the morgue. He then goes to the Chelsea Cab Company to investigate the taxi his father drove. This taxi, in which Chandra was found dead, is ripped apart and covered with blood. As Mohinder accepts a job as a taxi cab driver with his father's employer, Mr. Bennet surreptitiously follows Mohinder with a camera and a telescopic lens. In the end, Mohinder decides he will continue his father's research in hopes of finding his murderer.
Character Appearances
Notes
- Monsters is the first graphic novel in which no character is an evolved human.
- Chandra's physical appearance in the flashback resembles the original, stand-in actor (see Chandra Suresh and this image).
- The first page of Monsters is mimicked in the first page of The Natural Order of Things, with a few differences. Ando replaces Hiro, Tracy replaces Niki, the flying scene is the fight between Sylar, Nathan, and Peter instead of Nathan rushing up to catch Peter falling, Claire appears in flames with Noah, and the segment with Isaac is replaced by Matt kneeling over an unconscious Sylar. It should be noted that the general layout is the same and that from a quick glance, the two covers are mostly identical. This continues the trend of Season Three referencing Season One.
