An unlikely hero finds his place at last. |
Hiro teleported Ando back to Japan, keeping his friend out of the final conflict at Kirby Plaza. Ando, unable to find any trace of what happened to Hiro after the battle, decided to stay in Japan. Returning to Yamagato Industries, Ando reconnected with his old crush, Kimiko...who also happened to be Hiro's sister. Unfortunately, Ando soon learned he had much bigger obstacles in winning her heart... |
Summary
Standing in front of Yamagato Industries, Ando and Kimiko face a biker gang led by Fumio Fukazawa. The gang pursues the two innocents through the streets of Tokyo, Fukazawa intent on winning back his former flame, Kimiko; he commands his gang to get rid of Ando in the process. When Ando falls into a fountain, Kimiko uses a heel-kick to dismount a cyclist and take his bike. She and Ando speed away, Ando inadvertently throwing obstacles in the way of the gang. When the bikers finally catch up with the two Yamagato employees, Ando vows to protect Kimiko with his life. Suddenly, Fukazawa is frightened by someone and retreats with his men. Kimiko rushes to kiss Ando, oblivious to the fact that her father is the one who scared off the gang.
Character Appearances
Notes
- It is unclear how the events depicted in this graphic novel occurred in the new timeline (as of Orientation), since Hiro altered the past in such a way that Kimiko and Ando developed a romantic relationship years before.
Trivia
- Ando hopes his relationship with Kimiko becomes romantic, "like Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock". Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock were in two films together: Speed and The Lake House. In both movies, their characters fall in love with each other after going through intense circumstances together. The plot of Speed, in particular, is similar to Heroism Is Found in the Heart because of the high-adrenaline chase that brings the two closer.
