To protect his plan to destroy the mysterious "Company," Noah Bennet murdered Ivan, his former mentor and friend. Ivan underestimated Noah's ruthless drive and paid for it with his life. But it was not the first time he failed to see the depth of the man in the horn-rimmed glasses...

Summary

18 years ago in Odessa, Ukraine, Ivan and his partner, Maarten, showed Noah Bennet the process of bag and tag. The victim turns his body into water. Noah suggested trapping the man in a train car with Maarten blocking his exits with fire. His plan worked and the trio further discuss what to do with the man.
