Hmm

Can't believe they just killed Flint like that. --Radicell 05:41, 12 May 2009 (EDT)

  • Me too! What a cheap way to kill him. Hopwas2007 06:01, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
    • I didn't realize that was flint. I thought the power the guy was using was freezing or something. This artist really wasn't that good . . .
      • I guess they had to kill Flint, so that none of the new characters introduced in volume 3 can still be alive.--Gibbeynator 08:44, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
  • Yeah, are we SURE that's Flint? Looked different... --Crazylicious 09:02, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
    • I agree.. Flint never glow his eyes. Looked like electricity coming out his hands. Unless Artist made an error.. Hopwas2007 09:21, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
      • I'm pretty sure it's Flint. The glowing eyes were probably just a reflection of his ignited hands. Also, Dennis Calero seemingly has a fetish for drawing glowing eyes. See this image from another comic illustrated by him. --Radicell 09:33, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
        • We know Flint from Villians but this spike protrusion guy never appeared in any Volume only in Graphic Novel so we dont know what he is like. Hopwas2007 09:43, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
          • Flint's like what he's like. My point was that, considering the artist, we could pretty much be sure that the glowing eyes weren't supposed to represent some other person. Also, the notion of the guy being Flint is backed up by the information from the previous GN that Flint was on Flight 195. --Radicell 09:45, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
            • Fair enough. When I first read this GN, I thought "Wow new character!" but only after read this discussion, I didnt realise it was Flint! Hence Iam confused. Hopwas2007 10:07, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
  • I'm still trying to figure out what happens in the first three panels of the last page. Did the sniper pop Flint's head or did Sparrow just launch dirt in his face? Looks more brown than red to me, plus her eyes are glowing in the same panel... Revengeance 09:53, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
    • Agree, it's all quite confusing. The face looking into the sniper scope does not look like Flint at all, but it seems the most logical that Flint was sniped. --Radicell 09:57, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
      • I'm not even sure if that guy is a sniper... Sparrow clearly talks with him, so he's possibly one of the soldiers from the vehicle and is standing behind them, and Sparrow (the face in the reflection) is lying about helping them to trap Flint and Micah. Doesn't explain why a) he shoots Flint's head off instead, or b) Sparrow decides to blind Flint with dirt and somehow run past the guns. And what the heck is that Independence Day blob in the sky?! Revengeance 10:10, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
        • Your explanation sounds pretty good. The person looking into the sniper is likely Sparrow. And that sky thing looks kind of like an eclipse. --Radicell 10:14, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
          • I agree with Revengeance's explaination. However, about "Flint blinded with dirt", should We list Flint as "alive" instead of deceased? Oh boy it getting confusing now.. This GN must be rank as one of most confusing ever I read! Hopwas2007 10:25, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
            • I think we'll need Ryan to send an email to Zach on this one. ;) --Radicell 10:26, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
              • Many thanks radicell! Sorry for me being confused! :) Hopwas2007 10:29, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
          • Yeah, it's either an eclipse or Sparrow's about to drop a huge ball of dirt on him. I'm starting to wonder if the second-last page of this issue is actually missing... Revengeance 10:31, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
            • Now you are making sense about "missing page" Normally other GN has more pages than this one.. Hopwas2007 10:51, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
              • I have my doubst about that guy being Flint. There is a resemblance but it has not been confirmed. It could have been any other evolved human on the plane
                • I'm pretty sure that was him, it fits. It looked like him, had the same power as him, we know he was on the plane from part 1 and the glowing eyes thing was likely either a reflection or dramatic effect.--WarGrowlmon18 11:44, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
  • So the only level five escapee left is Doyle , mmmm so the lesson of volume 3 is if you get out of level 5 youre gonna die--Cj31094 11:57, 12 May 2009 (EDT)

I honestly think they're trying to get rid of the mistakes of Volume 3 Morons by getting rid of all of the extra charchters introduced there that are unnessacary: Arthur, Knox, Daphne and now Flint. If only they'd get rid of Sylar too. I think they made a mistake with giving him regeneration because now it makes him almost impossible to kill and it gets rid of the fun with having an invincible enemy made worse I think with what they did with that in the last episode.--WarGrowlmon18 12:24, 12 May 2009 (EDT)

  • Daphne wasnt really a mistake she just wasnt given a proper story too bad --Cj31094 14:23, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
    • Until we get proper confirmation, I'll take that guy being Flint with a bit of salt, as others, I didn't see Flint there, it fits the story, but I'm still uneasy. When I saw him, the power that came to my mind was electric manipulation. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 16:18, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
  • I thought it was Misha.
  • Misha was free in Libertad that is placed after the plain crash and he has hair son it cant be .sorry--Cj31094 22:18, 12 May 2009 (EDT)

Okay, I think that the sniper guy was looking at Flint (through the lens) and Flint was talking about negotiating, but the sniper guy still refers to him as an enemy, and snipes Flint. Then Sparrow uses her power to smash him with a rock which is the reason for her eye glowing in top panel #2 and in top panel #3, it's a rock hovering (via Sparrow) over the sniper's head, partially covering the sun, getting ready to smash him. Anyone else see that--Anthony Gooch 22:50, 12 May 2009 (EDT)

        • OK, the terrible art doesnt help, and it IS confusing, but you gotta pay attention to the content. That IS Flint. It IS Flint in the sniper scope saying hes on their side. Thats Flints nature, to take whatever side is going to win in his mind. He did the same thing when he got caught by the Company, he offered to be an agent. So Flint is saying hes on the side of the government to not get shot, the sniper says they can't negotiate, he gets his head blown off (its freaking red and theres no head there!). Then Sparrow comments to herself that they cant turn against one another like Flint just tried to do. Band together. Which inspires Micah to become Rebel. The end! :) --Action Figure 11:38, 13 May 2009 (EDT)
Only I don't think that's fire, it could just be the artist but it's too transparent to be fire. Flint had Pyrokinesis not whatever ability that is. I know he has blue fire but it doesn't really look like blue fire to me. --Dman dustin 22:09, 13 May 2009 (EDT)
    • Think about this logically, chaps. We have a full list of passengers from Flight 195 from Rebellion, Part 1. Flint's name is on it and everyone else is accounted for, yes? Therefore it must be Flint. The only other alternative is to say that there is one or more missing names off that list, and that one of those names is a man who looks remarkably like Flint and appears to have the same ability as Flint. That certainly seems speculative to me, and we discourage that, apparantly. Therefore I think Flint is dead. Besides, what's more likely- that the writers would use a GN to tie up a loose end on a character whose fate was unclear, or they'd introduce some random guy just to get Sparrow and Micah to team up? I certainly prefer the former explanation. Why make the man look so much like Flint if it wasn't him? Why not make it a totally different character?Swmystery 18:37, 14 May 2009 (EDT)
There did appear to be more than nine people on that plane. At least two of which remain unidentified. Presumably those who weren't identified all have last names that come after "Strauss" alphabetically. But yeah, it's probably Flint. Wanderer32 01:32, 15 May 2009 (EDT)
  • In the first chapter it showed question marks next to Flint's name which could mean they couldn't have found him. Datnymonster 21:14, May 162009 (EDT)
    • It showed question marks after most people's names, that's because Micah was erasing the information on the people on the plane. --Skullman1392 10:51, 17 May 2009 (EDT)

Art

Dennis Calero sure doesnt like having to draw people, especially likenesses. Everyone is always in shadow, except their clothes... cheap. :\ --Action Figure 06:40, 12 May 2009 (EDT)

  • Yeah, Flint looked nothing like the actor! This guy is horrible at likeness to really people. Micah looked like a teenager... Also, on the last page, did you notice that Micah has miraculously grown taller than Sparrow? What's up with that?--Skullman1392 01:24, 13 May 2009 (EDT)
    • I don't think it was bad at all. I'm sure there have been worse. :/ -- Mike N. 16:07, 13 May 2009 (EDT)
      • Everything that is done, no matter how poorly, can be done worse. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 16:59, 13 May 2009 (EDT)
        • Correct. Just because something can be done worse, does not mean the original is good. Relativity and all. --Action Figure 04:27, 14 May 2009 (EDT)

sniper

  • Who was the sniper that killed Flint , was it Danko ?
    • I think it was simply just an unamed memeber of his team.--WarGrowlmon18 12:22, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
  • i think it was danko because of all the murder and not to negotioate with the "enemy"
    • I think it was just someone following orders. Danko's not the only cold-hearted person in the world ya know.--WarGrowlmon18 15:06, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
    • But did they actually kill flint is the question. If you snipe someone in range of being able to speak to them, would it blow the person's head up, cause that't the way it seems depicted in the novel. Also, how do we actually know it was a sniper. I mean, it could have just been a zoom lens, and that, to me anyway, looks like powder, maybe used to knock them out. I don't see why they'd kill him without trying to capture him first. Anyways, I still have hope for Flint's life.--Mc hammark 07:04, 13 May 2009 (EDT)
      • It's pretty tough to survive "BOOM! Headshot", even with regeneration. Of course it might not even be Flint... someone should email the artist to ask who that was. --Gibbeynator 10:29, 13 May 2009 (EDT)
        • Good Point because he didn't really look like he had flames on his hands, more like a blue light, and his eyes were glowing too, which Flint's never did. And didn't he speak just a little smarter than he did in the show?--Mc hammark 05:28, 14 May 2009 (EDT)
        • "Uh nuh nuh" isn't exactly smart to me... and what he said all sounded like things he'd say. --Skullman1392 18:37, 14 May 2009 (EDT)

New GN

I am so excited for tomorrow's GN I don't know if I've ever been this excited for a series of GNs before!!!! I wonder who we'll see?? Molly? Maya? Monica? Someone new? AAAAAAHHHHHH I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!! haha sorry about that, had to let it out. Any thoughts, theories? --Skullman1392 20:08, 18 May 2009 (EDT)

  • My only thought is... why is there so many "M" name characters that disappear? It's really a "m"stery haha...ha...ha okay that was lame.--OutbackZack 22:30, 18 May 2009 (EDT)
    • West is a upside down M... amazing.--Ikkian 22:54, 18 May 2009 (EDT)
      • I found it pretty funny Outback :D But yeah, the writers must be "m"ists... like racist or sexist but with "m"s; rightside up, and upside down ("w" for West). maybe there'll be an episode in season four called "Return of the Ms" where Maya, Molly, Micah, Monica, Meredith and West all return and form a super group with Matt and Mohinder lmao --Skullman1392 00:22, 19 May 2009 (EDT)
        • MMM...that'd be marvelous. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:36, 19 May 2009 (EDT)
          • Then they can all versus Marcus, Micheal Fitzgerald, Manhattan target, and the Magnetism terrorist who somehow travels from the future that no longer exists! Then somehow Maarten will show up after he retired to be a teacher where one of his students is the Middle school boy! That's exactly what's going to happen in season 23, volume 36 "MmmmmmWmmmmmmm"--OutbackZack 02:28, 19 May 2009 (EDT)

Flint

Regarding whether or not Flint appeared in this graphic novel, he did. From Zach Craley: "Yes that is Flint. I think the bright sunlight makes the blue flames look a bit different ;) So he managed to survive the Pinehearst explosion, but it didn't seem to change his ways very much. And he paid for that. I guess it just doesn't pay to be a 'Villain' in our universe, unless you're Doyle..." Thanks for the confirmation, Zach! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:45, 20 May 2009 (EDT)

  • Thanks for emailing Zach. Now we can move on Hopwas2007 10:10, 23 May 2009 (EDT)
