Whoa, what is this webisode series? How come we've never heard of it until now? It's still pretty cool I guess. I was hoping they'd elaborate on the Matt/Knox relationship. I guess these are scenes cut out of Villains, then. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 20:58, 22 December 2008 (EST)
- Apparently the first webisode was LAST Monday, too. Dunno how we all missed that, yikes. --Ricard Desi 21:13, 22 December 2008 (EST)
- Yeah, it's funny because we usually know almost the entire storyline of a webisode before it's released. This one I found just sitting in a link on a random page at NBC.com. It's a nice little surprise. I don't think it's over, though--I would assume it doesn't end with the gang members discovering Knox's relationship with Parkman, and their dialogue just trailing off. I would also assume that we'll learn a bit more about their relationship. Very cool. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:23, 22 December 2008 (EST)
- Nice!! Since the writer and the director is the same as for Villains (which prior to the release of Hard Knox, was writer Rob Fresco's only work on Heroes) I'm guessing it is the deleted scenes from that episode. Hence, it wasn't produced as a webisode series, but as episode scenes, which I guess is the reason we haven't heard anything about it before. The producers must have found themselves with a bunch of cut scenes, telling an individual story, and thought "Why don't we put them out as webisodes, instead of hiding them away somewhere". A great move, and a very nice Christmas treat for the fans! And it is nice to see more of Knox - a character I feel was kinda underused in the series. --Pierre 22:00, 22 December 2008 (EST)
- Ditto everything. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:29, 22 December 2008 (EST)
- This is awesome! I changed the release date for Part 1 as Part 1 & 2 came out the same day (Today).--Heroes360 23:03, 22 December 2008 (EST)
- Are you sure? So they released two in one day? I assumed that nobody had seen it since it's not advertised like the "real" webisodes. Also, it has already racked up 400+ hits when I stumbled across it. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:22, 23 December 2008 (EST)

- Greg Grunberg mentioned one more scene on his Twitter, a part 3 that hasn't been posted yet. He posted both links on his Twitter the same day, and I bet it had 400 views before you saw it because of Greg linking it on his Twitter.--Mistyjo 06:56, 25 December 2008 (EST)
New actors
Just to keep them all straight...
By the way, I just kind of randomly assigned the parenthetical numbers in what I thought was the order they appeared. It's pretty arbitrary. In hindsight, I probably should have gone with the order they were credited (they weren't alphabetical, were they?), but it's too much of a hassle to switch around. I guess if somebody wants to go through and switch them all to a different order, I suppose that'd be fine, though I don't really see the point. It would mean deleting images and reuploading them, and doing a bunch of edits...Probably not worth it for an arbitrary thing that's not even "official". -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:35, 22 December 2008 (EST)

- This isn't listed as a Webisode on NBC's site... it's listed as NBC Exclusive. Do we consider it canon?--Riddler 02:54, 23 December 2008 (EST)
- I don't see a problem with it. What does everybody else think? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:59, 23 December 2008 (EST)
- Should we still list it as "Webisode: Hard Knox"?--Riddler 03:00, 23 December 2008 (EST)
- After rethinking the issue a bit, this is really more of a pseudo-webisode. It's a deleted scene that's masquerading as a webisode, which NBC is calling an "NBC Exclusive". I think we're fine with it as it is now, but if we get more of these NBC Exclusives (let's hope so!), then we might want to rethink how we classify them. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:36, 23 December 2008 (EST)

Webisode status.
The more I think about it, the more I don't think we should label this as a Webisode, or at least not have it as the main one on the front page. It's misleading and takes focus away from the ones that are actually called Webisodes, y'know? I think we should either show both on the front page, or put The Recruit series there and put this somewhere else, renaming it from Webisode to "NBC Exclusives" or something to that effect.--Riddler 01:53, 29 December 2008 (EST)
- I don't think the webisodes are just what NBC calls "webisodes". Imho, we can define them to mean any Heroes-related continuing episodic-type online video segment on NBC's website that is not part of Heroes Evolutions. However, if we do move the Hard Knox segments to follow how NBC is calling them, then the Destiny Micro Series and the Hard Knox NBC Exclusives should both be moved at the same time.--MiamiVolts (talk) 04:59, 29 December 2008 (EST)
- If the issue is whether or not to designate Hard Knox as a webisode, I think Miami is right...though I'm curious to see what other "NBC Exclusives" look like in the future. For now, I think it's fine to call it a webisode. If the issue, however, is how it looks on the main page, I agree--we should either be putting both The Recruit and Hard Knox, or just The Recruit, not Hard Knox only. I guess since the next one is coming out tonight, we're fine...but we shouldn't prefer Hard Knox over The Recruit. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:02, 29 December 2008 (EST)
- Really guys we should just call it "deleted scenes" Gabriel Bishop 12:17, 6 January 2009 (EST)Gabriel Bishop
- Well, Universal has made it even more confusing now due to the fact that that this entire series is now a series of 5 deleted scenes on the Season 3 DVD set (and I'm also assuming the Blu-Ray set as well). The deleted scenes are (obviously) from the episode Villains listed as: "Matt wants Knox to quit the gang," "Knox asks to sit out of robbery" (these are both from Hard Knox Chapter 1), "Knox is seen talking to Matt" (from Hard Knox Chapter 2), "Knox kills gang leader" (from Hard Knox Chapter 3), and "Matt stops Knox in car" (from Hard Knox Chapter 4). The webisode credits are no longer included. Perhaps it should be listed under Trivia that each webisode is considered a deleted scene under their appropriate sections? --Dman176 18:16, 5 September 2009 (EDT)
- Hard Knox is a series of deleted scenes that were released as an "NBC Exclusive" on NBC.com. I think it's fine to classify it as a webisode since our general definition of a webisode on this wiki is a miniseries of videos released on the web. Check out Villains#Trivia for the information about this being a deleted scene. I think it might be a good idea to also add some similar notes to this page. I'll take care of that now. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:00, 5 September 2009 (EDT)
