Cautionary Tales
Hiro goes back in time to 1990 with his father to Ishi's funeral in hope of making Kaito change his mind about accepting his fate. Kaito calls Hiro a foolish boy and tells him to take them back to the present. Hiro refuses to do so and turns around, bumping into his younger self, who is brandishing a plastic Takezo Kensei sword. They talk about their mother's death and Hiro tells his younger self all about lessons, which include strength, responsibility and justice, he learned by reading the trials. 1990 Kaito calls 1990 Hiro over to his side and then present Hiro admits to his father that he was being foolish and that he will take them back to 2007 after paying their respects.
