We already have a summary?

It's been like 10 minutes. That was fast. Gamerelite1 21:09, 26 October 2009 (EDT)

I write it as I watch it, give it a once-over, insert the links, and put it up as a first draft. It all depends on if I can watch it "live" or not. 21:16, 26 October 2009 (EDT)
    • Doesn't that take away some of the fun of watching an episode for the first time?Gamerelite1 21:20, 26 October 2009 (EDT)
Eh, it's a living. :) I do it for several shows for the site I work for regularly. 21:29, 26 October 2009 (EDT)
You do a great job of it! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:53, 26 October 2009 (EDT)

Umm... wow. I can't believe they did that. Poor kid.--Ratclaws 21:38, 26 October 2009 (EDT)

  • Yeah. I thought he was going to be a recurring character. It's sad to see how badly broken that he was mentally.Gamerelite1 21:44, 26 October 2009 (EDT)
    • This why I hate these sterotypical "redneck" towns. That "deputy" went too far, I'm not condoning what Magneto did (oops I meant Samuel) but as viewer looking in a fictional world, it was justified. I just wish the deputy got smacked around before getting crushed by the building, --Dman dustin 22:50, 26 October 2009 (EDT)
      • I thought it was messed up, as well, but I'm enjoying how realistic this season has been, what with continuing the Jeremy plot instead of just dropping it and then killing him off in a way real life people would. Things like this and Millie's assassin taking Nathan's jewelry would have never happened in an older season.--Citizen 23:14, 26 October 2009 (EDT)
        • While Samuel was bringing jutice to jeremy, what about the other cops inside the building? I'm sure not all of them knew of Jeremey's true fate, and would have supported it. But oh well, fictional world. Awesome display of earthbending, too. --Piemanmoo 00:09, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
          • Similarly, when Samuel sunk his childhood home and killed the rude dinner party host, he also killed two other people to whom he didn't speak. From a writing standpoint, we're supposed to have mixed feelings about Samuel. He's written so we both cheer him on and boo him at the same time. We are supposed to trust him and distrust him simultaneously. Really, we're supposed to love him and loathe him. If you feel even a bit of that duality (I do!), then it's a testament to the writers and to Robert Knepper's brilliant acting. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:39, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
            • What an excellent point, I completely feel that way about him! Robert Knepper does a great job (but I'm leaning towards "hating" Samuel, I don't think he can be completely trusted...) --Skullman1392 00:46, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
              • My thoughts exactly. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:08, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
                • I think Samuel is a great character. He is trying to do good but after loosing his brother he is blinded by what is fair and what isn't. I think that, in the long run, I do trust him. --mc_hammark 07:06, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
                  • Samuel very much reminds me of the X-Men's Magneto. He seems to care about his people, but he has no problem killing if he thinks it's justified. He might be Heroes best villain yet!--Cro Magnon 10:49, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
                    • I think his death will drive Tracy to the carnival, and Noah to really start up the Company to help the evolved humans. I have to say. That's the only thing I've been dissapointed with so far this season. We were basically promised a return of the company but it has yet to really happen. --mc_hammark 11:21, 27 October 2009 (EDT)

Jeremy's character had a lot of potential, but I think the writers were mainly using him to set things in motion for the storyline (Tracy inevitably going back to the carnival or telling someone else about it), Noah restarting company with a different focus, and we get to see Samuel use his power (so much better than watching the Nathan, Sylar, Peter fight through Claire's eye). And don't worry Mchammark, I'm sure with Nathan's disappearance Angela will be even MORE compelled to restart the company. Sad that someone with such potential to do remarkable things for people decided to die though.--Jas3point14 19:02, 27 October 2009 (EDT) Oh, wow... that was... pretty grim, even for Heroes. Has anyone else in the series been murdered for being different?--Gibbeynator 20:24, 27 October 2009 (EDT)

  • Pretty much all of Sylar's victims. -- Psilaq R.- \m/ -_- \m/- 20:27, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
    • They were killed because they either had something he wanted, or because they were on his way. Jeremy was neither to the policemen. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 20:32, 27 October 2009 (EDT)

--Radicell 06:59, 27 October 2009 (EDT)

2 Sylars

One Sylar is at the carnival, with his body but thinking he is Nathan, and the other Sylar, the real Sylar, is a "ghost" in Matt's mind. --JLYK

  • Seems about right to me :) Kevio 10:23, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
    • And I'm almost certain that Zach Quinto just wore his own clothes for the carnival scene. Either that, or the costume people just got Zach carbon copies of his own fashion choices. Not quite a match, but almost identical to one of his most worn outfits. Compare [1] to [2]. It's probably not trivia-worthy, but an interesting observation. NileQT87 11:18, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
      • Because of the screen I watched the episode in, it was all very dark for me, but when I first saw Sylar in the Carnival, I actually thought it was Teddy. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 11:36, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
        • Haha, when I saw Sylar wearing the hat in the episode, I immediately thought of the way he always dresses. --JLYK
  • Disagree. I personally don't think the Sylar that Matt is seeing has any connection to Sylar at all. But that's just me. -- Tristan0709 talk 00:54, 28 October 2009 (EDT)
    • I think Tristan's right kinda. I don't think it's actually Sylar. I think it's just Matt's guilt manifesting itself negatively. I do think he'll push it back into Sylar/Nathan's head at some point and bring back the murderous psychopath. -- [User: Obviouslyme]] 07:32, 28 October 2009 (EDT)
    • Sylar exists inside Matt's head, while Nathan is still inside sylar's body (albeit amnesiac). I don't see why we don't have nathan appearing as a character anymore, just because he exists outside his own body. When Hana "died" we just put the deceased characters category on her page an updated as normal. Since the "souls" of the character are who they really are, its just that normaly it's within their own body. Sylar's body has nathan's mind, so while techincaly nathan is dead, his mind lives on because of matt's mental swap. There's still only one Sylar, it's just his mind and his body seem like two different ones.--Piemanmoo 17:00, 28 October 2009 (EDT)
      • Just to make his clear: Nathan is NOT on the show anymore. He died in An Invisible Thread, there were flashbacks with him in them in Acceptance, but he is NOT a main character, nor a regularly appearing character any longer. Adrian Pasdar (occasionally) plays Sylar now, not Nathan anymore. Nathan is gone, finished. There is now Sylar (played by both Adrian Pasdar AND Zachary Quinto), who was brainwashed into THINKING he was Nathan, but has now been convinced otherwise. Nathan is NOT in Sylar's body. His soul is not in another body, he does not exist outside his body. He's GONE. No swap was made. And yeah, Obviouslyme, you took the words right out of my mouth. Guilt manifestation is EXACTLY how I would put it. -- Tristan0709 talk 03:56, 29 October 2009 (EDT)
        • Alright, if its Matt's mind that's "creating" the Sylar, how does Sylar take over Matt's body? --JLYK
        • Didn't Sylar say he entered Matt's mind when the latter was brainwashing him? Green.gif AltesUTC CH
          • Yeah but I'm saying that it's not actually Sylar, so Matt's mind is just giving him a reason to believe that it's Sylar. It could be that Matt's guilt is so overwhelming he's living up to it. He's behaving how he thinks Sylar would behave if he took over Matt's body. -- User:ObviouslyMe 13:55, 30 October 2009 (EDT) (p.s. In my previous post I wrote "I do think he'll push it back into Sylar/Nathan's head at some point and bring back the murderous psychopath." That's wrong, he'll push the manifestation of his guilt into Sylars body and create a newer version of Sylar is more accurate. And as Sylar is more evil in Matt's mind that he actually is he'll lose all of the shreds of humanity he had and become a 'pure psychopath'. That's my theory at least :)

Samuel's boots

I want them! --mc_hammark 10:39, 27 October 2009 (EDT)

Can't Wait to see 'SyMatt' in action!

I'm wondering what does he have in mind!

I didn't like too much the episode, I was expecting to see more Sylar, Peter and Hiro... but it was good. --Themd 15:37, 27 October 2009 (EDT)

Go Samuel!!

Go Samuel for getting those corrupted redneck "police"!! Poor Jeremy... I liked him too ;( Samuel may just have earned another fan... --Ellexoxo 15:58, 27 October 2009 (EDT)

    • Is it just me or is samuel the perfect anti hero. daevon 16:01, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
      • He is. Robert Knepper is a amazing actor. Loved him on Prison Break, love him here.--Ratclaws 17:13, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
        • Robert Knepper has been one of the most BA characters of all time. I think I may have wet myself when I saw that building fall to the ground. -- Psilaq R.- \m/ -_- \m/- 17:18, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
          • Robert Knepper is great in this role, but he doesn't seem as interesting as Sylar in my opinion. Sylar's character really developed well and although Samuel has similarities (questionable motives, embrace their power, one collects powers, the other collects people with powers, a villain you're supposed to like/hate in a conflicted way), Samuel's character seems to know too much about people too easily. I'm not amused when there's no challenge and he's not really being challenged by anyone yet, whereas Sylar takes on everybody he meets. As satisfying as it was to see Samuel take out the police, his character has yet to appeal to me.--Jas3point14 19:34, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
      • In fairness, the approach isn't dissimilar to early Sylar. However, as a reviewer noted somewhere, we need a "Company Man" type episode for the carnival folk. 09:22, 28 October 2009 (EDT)
      • To be fair, Sylar has had four season's worth of character development, while Samuel is already excellent after six episodes. His seeming omniscience is probably more to do with Lydia then anything else. It doesn't really bother me, as a man who has this many evolved human allies should be more aware then normal. I do agree however that when somebody finally makes him fight rather than manipulate everything, it will be a spectacle indeed. Swm 11:50, 28 October 2009 (EDT)

Awesome display of powers

I have to say, when Samuel brought Tracy to the Carnival and when he teared down that house, those were the best scenes depicting a use of a power in the history of Heroes! --Osman 21:54, 27 October 2009 (EDT)

  • Tracy appearing in the Carnival with Sam is not necessarily his doing. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 12:31, 28 October 2009 (EDT)
    • I know it probably wasn't him but some other carnie, but it was still awesome! --Osman 18:39, 28 October 2009 (EDT)
      • Heroes has always excelled at special effects. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:48, 28 October 2009 (EDT)
        • I think this needs more discussion. Normally, we don't assume that someone else was "in hiding" when we see a power/new aspect of a power displayed. As such, the carnival transporting should be credited to Samuel until we have (any) evidence otherwise, shouldn't it? --Stevehim 00:59, 7 November 2009 (EST)

The timeline is officially screwed up. See here for details and for my suggestion of what I think we need to do. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:57, 27 October 2009 (EDT)

Slowly turning into Xmen?

I've been thinking it for the last two or three episodes, but as I read other peoples comments I am really getting a nasty feeling in my gut which says that Samuels gonna rage war upon humanity in a magneto-like role with his carnival and I can really see Noah completing the picture as Professor X. --Obviouslyme 23:14, 27 October 2009 (EDT)

  • Yeah, Samuel is like... the anti-Danko.--Gibbeynator 14:54, 28 October 2009 (EDT)
    • It's been similar to x-men from the beginning. People complain about it being a rip-off because of people discovering they have super powers from mutations, the Company originally seemed similar to Stryker's experiments, Tracy's coldsnap and turning into water like Iceman, Mohinder's mutation problems seem similar to when Spiderman lost control of his powers (not talking about in the movie, but when he actually started becoming more like a spider), Peter's power was sorta like Rogue's... but these are minor things. The first thing that popped into my head when I saw the preview for Season 4 was how the Carnival could potentially be the Brotherhood, and it's only been getting closer with Samuel recruiting mutants like Magneto. I'm not complaining though. I'm a fan of X-men, but Heroes does a great job of bringing live-action super heroes to TV (cus Mutant X was horrible and the cartoons aren't the same even though they're good).--Jas3point14 16:03, 28 October 2009 (EDT)
      • It certainly has similarities to X-Men, especially mutants/evolved humans being hunted last season, and the Brotherhood/Carnival this season. But I still like it. Admittedly, I'm a sucker for superhumans.  :)--Cro Magnon 16:48, 28 October 2009 (EDT)

"his faaaatha's reseeeach"

OH HEY WHAT'S UP POORLY MIMICKED ACCENT? I think that Sylar's line there was like the worst line on Heroes ever. Err, besides "MISTER BENNETT WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Oh West, we miss your terribly witty lines. Kortu 22:13, 28 October 2009 (EDT)

  • I don't think he was going for a perfect mimicked accent, I think it was more the fact he was making fun of Mohinder (I thought it was kind of funny), but I agree with you on West's line there.--Catalyst · Talk · HL 22:15, 28 October 2009 (EDT)
  • That line from Sylar made the episode for me. -- Tristan0709 talk 03:58, 29 October 2009 (EDT)
    • I was under the impression that he was making fun of Mohinder's obsession with it, simply because I'm sure Zach could do a better accent then that if need be. Swm 09:48, 29 October 2009 (EDT)
      • Why would you hate it? That part was hilarious.
  • Loved that bit of the ep, best line --Lolwut 10:38, 31 October 2009 (EDT)

Summary Spoilers

Should the summary info have spoilers in it? "terrible fate" and "unsuccessful" seem to be kind of spoilerish. 13:31, 29 October 2009 (EDT)

  • It's already aired so it cant really be called spoilers, but it think I get what you mean - Jenx222 | U · T · CHTC 13:37, 29 October 2009 (EDT)
    • I don't know what you mean. If it's aired, it's no longer a spoiler by Heroes Wiki standards. The only place where we really want to remove spoilers for aired episodes is on the Main Page. That's why the summary is usually so bland, so we don't give away any spoilers (since that section is included on the main page). -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:05, 29 October 2009 (EDT)
      • Oh, okay, never mind. I see what you're talking about now. The summary section really should straddle a line of telling what happened in the episode, and not giving away too much information. Bland, bland, bland. I'll tweak it a bit. Thanks, CoTVR. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:06, 29 October 2009 (EDT)

I'll be the first to say it

How the hell did samuel and tracy move from outside the police station in the day to the carnival in the night? Does anyone know? --Lolwut 10:38, 31 October 2009 (EDT)

  • I don't think you are the first to say it. Check around talk pages related to the carnival, or even the carnival talk page itself.--Catalyst · Talk · HL 11:00, 31 October 2009 (EDT)

Haitian Missile Incoming

Anyone else think that those girls'll be Haitian-ed and then Claire will:

a) Leave Gretchen to help / find her father

b) Gretchen and Claire go to carnival, resulting in Gretchen's death.
