A young man's destiny comes calling with an ancient secret. |
Abu Aswan has the power to levitate and move extremely heavy objects. As his power becomes stronger, he begins to wonder where his powers originated. Sanjog Iyer visits him in a dream and leads him back in time to the construction of the Egyptian pyramids, built by Abu's ancestors. |
Summary
In a desert somewhere in present day Egypt, Abu Aswan reads a text about Ancient Egyptian construction. Abu ponders the effort and time required to build them and thinks the Ancient Egyptians must have had an easier way to build them than just dragging the stone blocks along. Suddenly, he gets an idea and lifts a large boulder above his head and imagines himself being cheered on by Egyptian slaves while carrying a large stone block above his head. His vision is interrupted when two men spot him and cannot believe his action possible. One of the two men says for the other to get him, so Abu flees.
Abu, panting from running, travels to the National Library and Archives, where he finds his family's genealogical chart and learns that he is a descendant of Pharaoh Khufu. Abu finds his father and he confirms what Abu found. Abu then tells his father that he lifted a one-ton boulder that day, but his father tells him that's impossible, and to not speak of it again for his own protection. Abu still claims it is true and leaves.
Later that night, Abu is asleep in his home, and Sanjog Iyer visits Abu in his dreams. Sanjog shows Abu that Ancient Egypt's Pharaoh shared his power of levitation during the building of the Pyramids of Giza, but knew better than to anger the gods so he kept it a secret. When his kin were arrogant and displayed their powers, he had them punished with a stoning. Abu tells Sanjog he doesn't want to live in a place where he is punished for who he is, but Sanjog tells Abu that there is no escaping the life you were meant to live and that he should respect the secret that has remained throughout generations.
Suddenly, Abu wakes up in a fright. He grabs an Egyptian artifact and says that Egypt is his destiny.
