Character History
In Odessa on June 13, 2014, Quentin and Aly are listening to Jimmy Rourke on the radio. Jimmy says that the Chinese know how to keep evos under control. Jimmy says that the Americans have a "typical liberal response" and give evos a soapbox to stand on. He calls them "delinquents with delusions of grandeur" who have been "handed the genetic equivalent of a loaded weapon."
Luke and Joanne Collins listen to the radio while on the road. On the radio, Jimmy says that he has been thinking about the evo rights issue, but is convinced that the public simply doesn't know what they are. He says that there is still a manhunt for Mohinder Suresh. Rourke derisively asks if society should really give evos the same legal rights as a human, pointing out that there's nothing in the Bill of Rights that backs up that claim. He urges the public to not support evo rights until more information is gathered about what they are and what they want from "us". He expresses his wish that "that Bennet girl just jumped from that Ferris wheel and landed with a splat."
