- How's it look now? Added the Wikipedia infobox and wikitable CSS. (Admin 00:00, 18 October 2006 (EDT))
- Is this just a reprint of the WP article? Do we still need it? Its redlinks are showing up as needed pages.--Hardvice 17:17, 24 October 2006 (EDT)
- I believe it was originally taken from Wikipedia by the original contributor, yes. Since we're striving for original content I'd be in favor of eliminating it and recreating a new version here if we need one at some point in the future. I believe the desired goal was to be able to clean up the Main Page and keep it from getting too long by moving the character lists deeper into the wiki. If we wind up with too much on the Main Page at some point then I'd suggest that's when we start optimizing it for space, but until then I think it's ok. Will leave [[Heroes]] around for a little while to solicit any more opinions on its deletion before I actually delete it. (Admin 17:28, 24 October 2006 (EDT))
- Cool. I was able to wipe p most of its redlinks with redirects, many of which we probably needed anyway. :)--Hardvice 17:30, 24 October 2006 (EDT)
- I'm seriously up for deleting this page. It holds no purpose now that almost every piece on information on it is talked about more indepth on their own separate pages. Maybe we should still keep a [[Heroes]] around to explain a brief overview of the series but certainly not this dated copy of the Wikipedia page. --Sidney 01:39, 26 October 2006 (EDT)
- Talk about resurrecting a discussion from the past! :) I think we need a Heroes article again to provide a description of the show itself. We have all this material on everything that has happened in Heroes, but no high-level article on Heroes itself. We've got every other piece of info people would like to know about the show except for an in-depth explanation of the show itself. (Admin 16:33, 16 April 2007 (EDT))
- I very much agree. I was actually just thinking about that the other day and was going to write something, but got sidetracked. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:51, 16 April 2007 (EDT)
- I just added some Heroes links on lostpedia but we didn't have a page for Heroes so I had to link to the one on wikipedia. -Lөvөl 18:06, 16 April 2007 (EDT)
- Was it you that added the links on Isaac of Uluru? It was the one Wikipedia link on that page that convinced me that we need a Heroes page of our own again. (Admin 18:25, 16 April 2007 (EDT))
- That was indeed Level who gave us some love over on lostpedia (and fixed Issac's name, too). I've seen some other sites that have done similar things. I'm all in favor of a a Heroes page. Soon enough, soon enough. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:07, 16 April 2007 (EDT)

Suggested additions
Checklist of some things we can do to improve this article:
- Expand description of Heroes show
- Expand Season 1 description
- Incorporate info from Broadcasts article, but rewrite it so it's original content.
- Heroes 360 info (approx. date it started, brief description of what it is, link to Heroes 360.
- Okay, I've got not so much a checklist, but some ideas:
- General overview of the graphic novels
- Media quotes about Heroes
- I wouldn't mind seeing a link to awards
- A mention of the art auctions for the Pediatric Epilepsy Project
- One of the things for which I'm constantly searching is ratings. Ultimately, Nielsen's site only gives the top 10 each week. Entertainment Weekly often prints the top 20, but they're inconsistent (sometimes they do primetime, sometimes cable, sometimes just daytime, etc.) I would love if somebody could find info about viewership and ratings
- And while I'm on the subject of viewers, I'm really curious as to the amount of downloads each GN gets, or how many hits http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/ gets.
- The page also needs a category. I guess Category:Heroes, or would that be too...odd? — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:12, 16 April 2007 (EDT)
- Maybe Category:Production? Heroe!(talk) 23:58, 16 April 2007 (EDT)
- Production is more for behind-the-scenes articles. This will in part be about the content of the show. It could be both Heroes and Production.--Hardvice (talk) 00:02, 17 April 2007 (EDT)
- I wouldn't mind it in both categories ... though I don't think it necessarily needs to go in either portal. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:08, 17 April 2007 (EDT)
TOCRIGHT?
- Although I like the characters sidebar, it's a bit out-of-date, and now that this article is huge, the TOC is creating massive whitespace. I'd suggest we axe the characters sidebar (or update it and work it into a page element instead of a sidebar) and just go with TOCRIGHT to cut down on the whitespace.--Hardvice (talk) 17:15, 10 October 2007 (EDT)
- I'm not married to it, but I do like the character bar. It's nice to have some color and graphics on an otherwise text-laden page. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:47, 10 October 2007 (EDT)
- I agree completely, hence my hesitation to axe it. But there's gotta be a way to work in that info and some colour without creating vast chunks of whitespace in an already enormous article. It certainly does need a toc, though.--Hardvice (talk) 19:29, 10 October 2007 (EDT)
- Just added the tocright and it looks much better, imho. Anyone mind if we replace Isaac and Simone with Alejandro and Maya on the character bar? I don't think it needs to be axed, just updated.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:48, 10 October 2007 (EDT)
- TOC looks good. Maya, Ando, and Sylar should be added since they're main characters. Alejandro is not. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:17, 10 October 2007 (EDT)
- Ok, but now that Maya hasn't been around for a while, should she still be here? --Isaac Mendez 12:36, 25 May 2009 (EDT)
- Despite Maya's absence, Dania Ramirez is still officially a principal cast member for Season Three. We don't know who the Season Four principal actors are yet. When we do, we will update the list of characters. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:55, 25 May 2009 (EDT)

Does anyone expect Hugh Laurie coming to the show?
I do. Oh yeah I do. I think he would do nice as Samson Gray, but John Glover did it great anyway. You see, House M.D. had many actors from Heroes who guest starred: Greg Grunberg, Matthew John Armstrong, Jayma Mays, Nicholas D'Agosto, Thomas Dekker, that guy who portrayed the frozen and shattered reporter... How about Hugh Laurie visiting Heroes?) -- Altes 09:07, 11 June 2009 (EDT)
- I don't think Hugh will be coming to Heroes anytime soon, he makes too much success (and money) with House to leave the show. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 12:01, 11 June 2009 (EDT)
Brave New World
Talk about A Brave New World being the series finale got me thinking. What happens to the wiki when they cancel the show? --Boycool42 08:19, 24 January 2010
- It stays around. So long as there's enough traffic to earn the money to pay for the server, I imagine Admin will keep it around. I know quite a few people who wait until the season is over, then they buy the DVD and watch the entire season at once. It will be nice to have the wiki around for those people...and for tho many who continue watching reruns or late showings in other countries or on Hulu, etc. Plus, a lot of our information here is about cast and crew members, which will still need to be updated, even if Heroes is over and there are no sequels... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:52, 24 January 2010 (EST)

Season Four Character Histories
When are we going to make the character history pages for season four? --Boycool42 10:50, 13 February 2010 (EST)
- After Season Four "officially" ends -- ie. at the end of the summer hiatus. --Radicell 10:54, 13 February 2010 (EST)
- Actually, I think someone already put in a full Season 4 summary above the episode infos on Peter's page. I don't know what the policy on it is, but you may want to check it out. --mc_hammark 10:56, 13 February 2010 (EST)
- Thanks for notifying me. --Radicell 11:04, 13 February 2010 (EST)
- I saw that too which is why I was confused. (Thanks MC hammark for directing me here) And last season they seemed to be made like right after the finale so I didn't know. But when it officially ends is great because last time we edited the season pages a bunch because of the new GNs/Istories. Thanks for clarifying! ~~IHH—Talk 11:38, 13 February 2010 (EST)
- Right. There is no official policy, but we typically wait until closer to the end of the summer since we usually put graphic novel summaries from the summer in the previous season (so GNs released in spring and summer 2010 will be part of Season Four). Also, please note that character who have only appeared in Season Four (like Samuel or Lydia) should not be archived. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:54, 13 February 2010 (EST)
- But, Maya has a page for season three, even though she was only in seven episodes. Same for Danko, and that was his first season. Samuel was in all 19 of this season. --Boycool42 12:34, 14 February 2010 (EST)
- Ok, I think because she was still a main character (though I think many fans debate that) she gets a full season history page. Also, characters who are in one season, and have a returning season (like Eric Doyle) have their previous seasons archived. But if it's just a few episodes they're in one season then another few in another season, I don't think we'd make a summary, like for Mira. --mc_hammark 15:31, 14 February 2010 (EST)
- So then Samuel should have a season summary page too. Also, Maya was a main character for season two, so by that logic she should have a season summary for season two, both because she ws a main character and because she appeared in the season following it. Not to mention she was in 8 out of the 11 season two episodes...
On another note, I recall RGS saying that we should set a limit on how many subsections warant a summary history. I believe we agreed if a character had over 22 subsections a summary would be fine. And Lydia has 36.....--Skullman1392 16:04, 14 February 2010 (EST)
- Well I do agree that if they are only in one season, they shouldn't have a summary page. However, Tracy was made one at the end of last season without knowing if she was in the next or not. Lydia I believe needs one because she has over 36 (because the iStories count too). But that is not up to me. ~~IHH—Talk 19:19, 14 February 2010 (EST)
- Maya shouldn't have an archive page for her Season Three history. I deleted it previously (in September) and I'll take care of deleting that page again. I didn't realize it was recreated--thanks for bringing it to my attention. (Her full page will only have 20 episode/GN listings, which is not too many.) Ditto Danko, whose archive page was also previously deleted, but recreated by somebody. (His page will have 24 subsections.) Being a main character doesn't have anything to do with having an archived page or not. There is no official policy on how many sections is the "breaking point", but I believe we came up with a soft guideline of 20 to 25. Danko's pushing that, so I could see the rationalization for an archive page...but I would wait until we go past that point. And since Danko's dead (and human), there's not a whole lot of promise that he'll make a return. However, this is Heroes, and anything is possible--so if he does, an archive page could definitely be made for him. As for Lydia, we either have an archive page with 36 sections and an empty main page, or we have a main page with 36 sections. So until she appears in another episode or has a significant mention in another graphic novel or something in Season Five, we should leave her page alone. Archiving her page would defeat the purpose, and wouldn't do any good. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:23, 14 February 2010 (EST)
- Ryan, I'm sorry but I was the one who made both of those pages. You have to keep in mind that iStories count as headings too which makes the page long. In fact if you count them, Danko has 34. Maya has 23. Granted I can see why Maya wouldn't be counted but I strongly believe that Danko should have one. ~~IHH—Talk 21:00, 14 February 2010 (EST)

How do you upload pictures to the wiki?--Boycool42 16:18, 23 February 2010 (EST)
- On the left hand side there is a toolbox. Click the "upload file" button. It'll take you to a new page and ask you to choose an image to upload. If it's for use on the wiki then make sure it's one of the standard sizes. If it's for your userpage etc. then remember to put [[Category:User Images]] in the comments bit. For all images, remember to put the source. --mc_hammark 16:30, 23 February 2010 (EST)

A Pattern I'm Noticing
Whenever a character mentions something, it happens two seasons later.
Examples:
- Ando asks if Hiro will join a carnival. -- Hiro does.
- Simone suggested that Nathan tell people about powers. -- He tries to.
- Nathan wants to round all the specials up. -- He does.
- Claire wants to spill the beans. -- She does.

--BOYCOOL -- THE END IS NIGH. 10:58, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
- HAHAHAHA, I've never noticed that before. Very cool. --Ricard Desi 11:21, 11 April 2010 (EDT)

- I think squishing an intended 14 hours into 4-8 could result in a creation as over the top as Spiderman 3 or as boring as an HBO miniseries. --Boycool Two little mice fell in a bucket of cream. - You're assuming that they've already written the plot. It's entirely possible that they hadn't thought out how they were going to finish the series, in which case they could make it fit a 2 hour span quite easily.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 18:29, 14 May 2010 (EDT)
- Honestly, if I was NBC, I'd hire some fans to do Volume 6 as an online series. I know of this guy who has his own personal project going on called Divinity. It looks really cool and has almost the same level of cgi as Heroes. I certainly hope they bring it back for a movie. Maybe they'll recommission it next year if the other stuff doesn't do to well. And from the comments I've seen so far from fans, they're boycotting NBC, so maybe they will bring it back. --mc_hammark 18:30, 14 May 2010 (EDT)

- The issue is that if the Heroes fanbase has become so small that NBC canceled it, a similarly sized boycott would have little effect.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 18:32, 14 May 2010 (EDT)
- Not so true. Take for example NBC versus Fox for the night. With heroes it would be (just for arguments sake) 1 million viewers, and whatever Fox shows 5 million. If half the NBC viewers boycott the channel and go to fox, NBC will have half the viewers and Fox will go up. That'd get them thinking about it. --mc_hammark 18:37, 14 May 2010 (EDT)
- But the show taking Heroes time slot is probably intended to attract more viewers.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 18:39, 14 May 2010 (EDT)
- Ah, but most people aren't going to change their normal tv show which they enjoy, for a pilot of a tv show that could be terrible. The one thing people hate is change. --mc_hammark 18:41, 14 May 2010 (EDT)
- But new viewers could come, ones who either didn't watch NBC at that time or at all. Chuck preceded Heroes this season, right? If they put another Chuck-esque show in Heroes time slot, those who'd normally change the channel or turn the TV off may stick around longer. Not to mention those viewers who'd simply tune in to see a new show. If they've cancelled Heroes it's because they're confident that another show can attract more viewers.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 18:55, 14 May 2010 (EDT)

If half the NBC viewers boycott the channel and go to fox, NBC will have half the viewers and Fox will go up. That'd get them thinking about it. --mc_hammark 18:37, 14 May 2010 (EDT)
- I think squishing an intended 14 hours into 4-8 could result in a creation as over the top as Spiderman 3 or as boring as an HBO miniseries. --Boycool Two little mice fell in a bucket of cream. - Probably. However, from what I've heard we're looking at more of a 2-4 hour range, so there'll definitely be enough time.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 18:05, 14 May 2010 (EDT)
- At one point I had a script for a film based on season one, but we're years past that now. Anyways, could they really wrap up five volumes in 90 minutes? --Boycool Two little mice fell in a bucket of cream. The first mouse quickly gave up and drowned. The second mouse wouldn't quit. - TV movie. A real movie in the vein of Serenity would be awesome but there isn't nearly enough support.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 18:02, 14 May 2010 (EDT)
- Ah well, it's a pity. I guess we were all more hopeful than expecting. But there's always new shows to watch, and maybe create a wiki about. :) --Radicell 23:24, 14 May 2010 (EDT)

- Probably not. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:29, 16 May 2010 (EDT)

- Sylar returns to the dark side and Adrian Pasdar returns. The normal Heroes BS. --Boycool Two little mice fell in a bucket of cream. The first mouse quickly gave up and drowned. - Return of evil Sylar is crap! It means that his redemption in Volume Five was for nothing.

Death count
How many characters have died each volume? Which one had the least deaths?
AltesUTC CH 05:39, 5 July 2010 (EDT)
- This is the best I can do.
- Volume One - Zane, Dale, Eden, Jackie, Chandra, Linderman's thugs (2 of them), Simone, Charles, Issac, Thompson, Ted, Linderman
- Volume Two - Kaito, Candice/Betty, Noah (Revived), D.L, Nikki, Alejandro, Ricky
- Volume Three - Bob, Jesse, Knox, Scott, Adam, Flint, Meredith, Elle, Usutu, Arthur, Maury, Daphne, Dr. Livitz,
- Volume Four - Nathan, Gabriel's mother
- Volume Five - Danko, Lydia, Nathan, Mohinder (Different time-line), Annie
- Volume Four - Nathan, Gabriel's mother
- Volume Three - Bob, Jesse, Knox, Scott, Adam, Flint, Meredith, Elle, Usutu, Arthur, Maury, Daphne, Dr. Livitz,
- Volume Two - Kaito, Candice/Betty, Noah (Revived), D.L, Nikki, Alejandro, Ricky
So it seem like Volume 4 had the least deaths and Volume 1 had the most. Hope that helps :) --Leckie -- Talk 09:30, 5 July 2010 (EDT)
