== G4 ''Post Show'' ==
Well, I am officially the first host on the G4 ''Heroes [[Post Show]]''. Man, it's going to be cool! They have a lot of really great things planned, some of which I'm not allowed to say quite yet. All I'll say is that I think we're going to be talking about the ''Post Show'' quite a bit on this site. From what I'm gathering, we will be referencing the ''Post Show'' about as much as we reference the CBR Behind the Eclipse interviews.<p>For those of you who don't know about the ''Post Show'' or G4 yet, [[Season One]] will air in a marathon on G4 on Saturday and Sunday, October 27th & 28th at 12 pm EST. Then, there will be a mini-marathon on Saturday, November 3rd, where G4 will air all episodes of [[Season Two]] thus far (episodes 201 through 206). Finally, at 11 pm EST, the ''Post Show'' will air. (See [http://www.g4tv.com/heroes/splash.aspx here] for more information.) This is cool--it's a live and interactive segment that will feature exclusive interviews with members of the cast and crew, live viewer commentary, interactive polls, behind-the-scenes footage and a whole bunch of other stuff which I can't divulge. Even better, the episodes which air on Mondays will be repeated on Saturdays on G4 (at 10 pm EST) for those who missed it the first time around, or who just want to relive the experience. The ''Post Show'' will also air weekly, with new content, new interviews, new cast and crew members, and plenty more for us to discuss on those late Saturday nights.<p>So how can you be involved? Well, if you're in the Southern California area, you can be in the studio audience--just [[User talk:Ryangibsonstewart|contact me]] and I'll make sure you get in. Not near LA? Then two other options exist for you. I believe you can go to [http://www.stickam.com/profile/heroesong4 Stickam], where you can be selected to do live videos that will air. If that doesn't work for you, then G4 is also accepting viewer mail through Stickam, where you can gush about the show, drool over Peter's pecs, salivate over Niki's assets, tell all the minutiae you noticed, and send all your wildest theories. I'm pretty psyched about being part of this, and about a new resource to give us depth into ''Heroes''. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 21:40, 18 October 2007 (EDT)

== Visions of Earth needs help! ==
* That's cool. I was contacted by an owner of another cool HEROES fansite about the fun opportunities of this HEROES Post Show. It seems like it'll be fun! [[User:'ROESian|&#39;ROESian]]
**Fun, and a great place for us to get some good inside info. I don't know how many shows I will be doing, but I kind of plan to use my time, if possible, to ask some of those nagging questions about ''Heroes'' and just to glean some good trivia heretofore unrevealed. I'm pretty psyched about the whole deal. :) -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 21:13, 19 October 2007 (EDT)
*** Looks like G4TV is going to have a special Heroes chat on a Wed. at 1pm est. Anyone have the details? I didn't catch if it was 11/21/07 or 11/28/07.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 23:40, 17 November 2007 (EST)
****I believe it's this Wednesday, 11/21. I think it's at 2 pm EST--the producer told me it's at 11 am PST. They asked me to be on, but I'm not sure I can do it--I have to find out if we have early dismissal on Wednesday or not. He's emailing me details, but I probably won't hear back from him until Monday. I'll update as soon as I know more. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 00:18, 18 November 2007 (EST)

Hey everyone! So as most of you probaly know, I am writing a fan fiction called [[User:Leckie/Visions of Earth|"''Visions of Earth''"]], currently I am needing some help with the administrative side of it. E.g. Updating character histories, abilities etc. So, I am looking for someone who is interested in helping me. There shouldn't be too much work to do considering only one episode has been released. So if anyone is interested, please respond on [[User talk:Leckie|my talk page]]! Thank you! :) --{{User:Leckie/Signature 10}} 19:04, 26 March 2010 (EDT)
== Comic-Con 2008 ==

== Few things that can be improved ==
Comic-Con 2008 is Thu, July 24 to Sun, July 27 at the San Diego Convention Center. (Registration [http://www.comic-con.org/cci/cci_reg.shtml here]).

Ok, first off, Great wiki, but i would improve a few things.
* Since the Comic-Con 2007 registration filled up early I took the precaution of registering early for Comic-Con 2008 so I should be there this year. If anyone else is interested in going I recommend registering early because they have a tendency to fill up quickly. Plus apparently hotels in the area fill up quickly and it was already difficult to find one nearby without having to pay both arms and both legs (it already costs an arm and a leg). As the conference gets closer I'd like to get a better idea who looks like they'll be going and I'd be happy to bring extra [[:Image:Are_you_on_the_wiki2.jpg|t-shirts]] for people who will be there. ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 00:48, 29 October 2007 (EDT))

On the Character pages, we have (example)
== Now here's an idea... ==
*I think it'd be good for us to have somewhere where we can discuss the episode that's just aired. After all, we're all fans of the show, and everyone has their own theories! I know we do do some discussion on talk pages, but then people post stuff about the page itself, and it can be a bit confusing. But if there was a place we could actually all discuss the episode, it'd be cool. And it could be named after something in the show, like, I dunno, The Loft, perhaps, or something similar. I suppose this sort of links in with the forum idea I read someone suggest a while back. Anyhow, yeah, just a thought.--{{User:Lost Soul/sig}} 12:44, 2 November 2007 (EDT)
** Heroes Wiki isn't a forum. That's why I post some of my thoughts at IMDb.com (that's a forum). There's also 9th and 10th wonders forums. If you have a specific comment that will help document the show, I think it belongs on the episode talk page. If you have a theory about something specific, you can add it in the theory namespace.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 13:06, 2 November 2007 (EDT)
*** Fair dues, but I'm not saying this is a forum. I'm saying I think it might be good to have something similar. What's the point in joining 9th Wonders or whatever and having to join a whole new community when you're part of one on this site?--{{User:Lost Soul/sig}} 13:08, 2 November 2007 (EDT)
**** Cause it helps bring new visitors to the site when you talk about it on other sites? Word of mouth advertising can be much for effective than the advertising Admin pays so much money for. At least, that's my theory as to why Admin doesn't add a forum here. Heh, but I'm pretty sure Admin will answer for himself.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 13:14, 2 November 2007 (EDT)
***** My reasons for not adding a forum are because: 1) Heroes forums are a dime a dozen. The world doesn't need yet another when there are good large ones out there already. 2) It would probably distract people from the wiki itself. 3) We can focus on what we do best. We run an excellent wiki that's only gaining in popularity. Let others who are experienced at running forums run the forums.<br />That being said I'm not opposed to a "loft" or "water cooler" area where people can be a little more chatty than they might on the article discussion pages, though this page is already somewhat for that. I just personally don't see a big need for a separate forum especially when many of us already frequent other boards like imdb or 9thwonders.com. While you can implement a forum as a series of wiki articles it tends to be more clumsy to maintain and lacks some of the nicities that people will expect out of a forum (and as a result it won't attract as many people and won't be as popular). ([[User:Admin]] 14:44, 2 November 2007 (EDT))
******I never said forum. I just meant a wiki page, like, I dunno, '''Chat:The Line''' or something; a page where people can go to discuss informally an episode or whatever. I know a forum would be pointless, totally get that. And now I just read your second point, which I understand also. It was just a thought.--{{User:Lost Soul/sig}} 14:54, 2 November 2007 (EDT)
******* Yeah, if people really wanted one it would happen since it's essentially just a new set of articles and anyone could create them. :) I don't think there's been a great deal of interest in it because we're not too restrictive about what goes on discussion pages so people just mention the stuff there instead. ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 15:19, 2 November 2007 (EDT))
******** I don't think it's a bad idea. But instead of "Chat:The Line", don't we have [[Episode talk:The Line]]? -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 19:13, 2 November 2007 (EDT)
*********As I said earlier, I feel it may be good to have a distinction between wiki talk pages (which, generally, should be for page discussion), and actually episode (and character, and whatever else) discussion. But hey, I'm happy with whatever.--{{User:Lost Soul/sig}} 04:52, 3 November 2007 (EDT)

==Stupid writers or whatever strike!==
What the heck is this stupid thing that threatens to end Heroes? Would some one mind explaining to me what it is?--[[User:Dylankidwell|The Empath]] 17:06, 4 November 2007 (EST)
* The writer's union is going on strike because their contract has expired. The big sticking points include royalties for online sales, online streaming ad revenue, and compensation for work for websites. It's industry-wide, but affects different shows differently. Reality TV, which is (officially at least) "unscripted", shouldn't be affected at all. Scheduled films with existing scripts should be able to proceed just fine, as should most shows which have completed scripts waiting to film. Unfortunately for ''Heroes'', all of its writers are also producers, so even if they have unfilmed scripts ready to go, they likely won't be able to film them. Incidentally, last time this happened in the 80s, lots of shows attempted to proceed anyway. ''ST:TNG'', for example, tried to adapt left-over scripts from the original series and film some cheap-ass clip shows (which is what a lot of sitcoms did). The results were pretty awful.--[[User:Hardvice|Hardvice]] <small>[[User talk:Hardvice|(talk)]]</small> 17:19, 4 November 2007 (EST)
** Another thing the writers appear to want is more revenue for DVD sales. This strike could have happened in 2004, but then the Directors' Guild accepted a deal that included better pension and health insurance benefits, instead of DVD and other electronic media subsidies, that the writers felt they had to go along with. Thus, the networks and studios have known for a while this strike could be coming. Here's some sites you can check into for more info. about the strike:

***Hope that helps you understand some more about what's going on.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 18:09, 4 November 2007 (EST)
****It's also important to remember that this is a decision from the Writers Guild of America, not the [[Portal:Writers|writers]] of ''[[Heroes]]''. Since they are members of the union, they must follow the strike, should it occur, regardless of their opinion of what should or shouldn't happen. It kind of reminds me of the union to which I belong--I'm a teacher. If my union goes on strike, so d I. What complicates things is that I might agree with the strike, but not want to see my students suffer--much the same way that many of the ''Heroes'' writers might agree with the principles of the strike, but they don't want to see their show suffer. Food for thought. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 18:19, 4 November 2007 (EST)
***** That's true. One advantage ''Heroes'' has, though, is that it is an international show and it could, if it so desired, contract writers from overseas to write the graphic novels. Such writers are not members of the WGA so will not be on strike. On a site note, the WGA gives its members the option to resign their membership and become 'financial core' members. Said 'financial core' members do not lose any financial benefits by resigning their membership (they don't lose any pension or health insurance benefits), and can return to work during a strike. However, said members cannot be elected an officer of the WGA and can no longer vote in the WGA.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 18:26, 4 November 2007 (EST)
****** Oh god, we are going to be left with Reality Television *shiver*--[[User:Dylankidwell|The Empath]] 18:50, 4 November 2007 (EST)
******* Even reality television requires writers to make the script for the host(s). Assuming the strike lasts long enough, we may get to see re-runs of ''M.A.S.H.'', ''Lavern and Shirley'', ''The A-Team'' and ''Magnum PI''....maybe even the original ''Bionic Woman''...--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 18:55, 4 November 2007 (EST)
* What really disappoints me about Heroes ending early due to the stike isn't that I'll have to wait so long for a new episode, but that we were on such a roll with our charitable donations so far for season two and that a good deal of the extra revenue that was generated during season two and going to charities will probably dry up until new episodes come out again. :( ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 01:39, 11 November 2007 (EST))
==Strike update==
So there's been some progress in the WGA strike, and I thought I'd post it here. A 11/17/07 [http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,312019,00.html Fox New article] reports that the WGA and Network producers are to return to negotiations on Monday, 11/26/07. It also reports that the producers offered a portion of licensing fees that are charged to websites for airing shows, but the WGA rejected the offer asking for a percentage of the online ad revenue to also be included. The producers refused to budge on online ad revenue.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 00:32, 18 November 2007 (EST)
* I'm far from an expert in the whole process here, but my limited understanding is that the studios are claiming that they don't know what these alternative revenue streams are going to look like yet so they can't offer a percentage of it. If true then that's fair enough, but why not just offer a proposal along the lines of "If revenue is between a-b you get x percentage, if it's between b-c you get y percentage, etc."? I imagine that's how they'd make the decision if they did know the revenue already. The easy answer to this could be that the studios don't want to give them a percentage in the first place and are just using the revenue claim as an excuse, but if that's not the case then it seems like a reasonable approach. ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 01:01, 18 November 2007 (EST))
** Nicely put, but in the published response letter before the strike it sounded more to me as a questioning of the viability of the new mediums altogether (i.e. we don't know whether they will be profitable, so we can't promise you any portion of the profits). I don't think the WGA believed them, though, and that's why they went on strike. Now, Nick Counter is claiming on the [http://www.amptp.org/ AMPTP website] that the reason the Alliance can't offer a percentage of new medium ad-money from the networks is cause they aren't receiving any from the networks. That sounds to me like a circular argument, since it's the Alliance's job to negotiate with the networks/studios for what they want. From what Nick wrote, it sounds as if the networks' and stuidios' position is that since a base payment is already made whether the show is a hit or not, they cannot afford to offer a percentage of the ad monies. I think a good compromise may be to offer a reduced base payment and add a percentage of the ad monies. Only then would both the studio networks and the WGA be taking the same risk, so it seems fair. However, I don't expect the WGA to propose a base pay cut; and it looks like the network studios aren't ready yet to look at taking on added risk, even if it is a shared risk, so I'm not expecting this strike to end anytime soon.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 11:53, 18 November 2007 (EST)

*Does anybody else think we should have something about the strike somewhere? I know we have a news link in the main page, but that, essentially, is all speculation; besides, to understand that you need to have some background knowledge on the strike itself. I don't really know if it merits a page or not; just throwing something into the mix...--{{User:Lost Soul/sig}} 09:03, 5 November 2007 (EST)
**Right now, the strike is just impending. If it actually occurs, I don't think it needs its own page because it's not really a part of ''Heroes''. It would be like writing an article about TiVo since a lot of people watch ''Heroes'' using TiVo. However, if the strike occurs, it would definitely need to be mentioned on the article about [[Season Two]], if it interrupts the season. ''[[Heroes: Origins]]'' already mentions it, I believe, for the same reason. If we suddenly get five episodes in a week (which won't happen) because of the strike, then each of those episode pages would have a note that said something about the reason the episode was shown in an odd order. In other words, the strike (if it occurs) is best left mentioned on related pages, not as an article itself. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 13:01, 5 November 2007 (EST)

**** Lost Soul is correct. Check the websites 6 &amp; 7 above that I listed for the WGA. According to them, the strike started this morning. They list the picket locations. *****As for the link from got-heroes that the season is over, this is incorrect. If you read the interview and others, Kring said if the strike isn't that long, they will continue with the season. Otherwise, they'll use Ep. 11 to end Volume Two, go on hiatus until the strike ends, then continue with Volume Three afterwards.--{{User:Baldbobbo/sig}} 16:56, 5 November 2007 (EST)

Hey all, I haven't been around much lately, but I just saw this on another TV fansite and thought it might be worthy of a news article or something here: [http://unitedhollywood.blogspot.com/2007/11/pencils2mediamoguls.html]. We all want a quick resolution to the writers' strike, and a demonstration by the fans has proven to sway Hollywood's actions before. Anybody with me? --[[User:Fcphantom|Fcphantom]] 00:41, 19 November 2007 (EST)
* Just moved this comment here from the main page, since only main page discussion belongs there, and news articles need to pertain to Heroes directly. I posted the United Hollywood website in an above section over a week ago. I think it's a good idea that they are asking for funds to buy truckloads of pencils to bring to the network headquarters, and even better that they are buying eco-sensitive ones. Even so, I don't think the odds of it actually helping to end the strike are very high, but it is a nice sentiment, imho. I hope that the networks donate them as is suggested on the blog's website.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 08:22, 19 November 2007 (EST)

== Strike update (II) ==
&#42;sigh* Looks like more fingerpointing. The WGA website is currently saying the negotiations are paused till Tuesday (Dec. 4, 2007) so the Networks can prepare the rest of their proposal. The AMPTP website says that the WGA asked for the time to review the new proposals already presented. Anyways, there has been some proposals released which the WGA is not satisfied with, but if you are interested in the details you should read the comments on the [http://unitedhollywood.blogspot.com/2007/11/more-clarification-on-amptps-numbers.html WGA's United Hollywood blog] and [http://www.amptp.org/negs.html AMPTP] (see WGA's 11/30/07 and AMPTP's 11/29/07 end of day statement) websites.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 20:56, 1 December 2007 (EST)
* There's been another breakdown in the talks. It appears as if the AMPTP wants to wait and talk with the DAG and SAG first to squeeze out the most profitable deal they can make on the new media. So I don't see any more potential progress in the strike until at least January when the DAG (Directors of America Guild) and SAG (Screen Actors Guild) begin negotiations for their contracts, which are up for renewal in June 2008. This probably means no more ''Heroes'' until at least Sept/Oct 2008, if then. Hrm.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 00:23, 8 December 2007 (EST)

In Season 3 episode 3, claire does this and this
==Power... ummm... replication? sharing? coincidence?==
....
Just a thought, but shouldn't we have a page covering the fact of multiple heroes with the same power? I know we have [[power heredity]], but this is two people sharing the same power (not a kid of an [[evolved human]]), related or not.

Why can we not have a sweeping few paragraphs for the whole of volume 3 & 4 & 5 like we do for Season/Volume 1 & 2 rather than an episode by episode breakdown (which could be in its own article like "Claire Bennet: Season One History" and "Claire Bennet: Season Two History".)?
This is a big thing about the powers this season (from what I've read). Some interesting notes:
* Three [[Electromagnetism|electromagnetists]], two [[Flight|flyers]], two [[Telepathy|telepaths]], two [[Rapid Cell Regeneration|regenerators]], two, uh, [[pyrokinesis|pyrokineticists]], two [[electronic data transception|transceptors]], maybe two [[Healing|healers]]... (plus some "kinda, sorta, background" people sharing powers, like "Transportation")
* [[Claude]] implied there were more [[empathic mimicry|empaths]].
* Obversely, when presented with information on an [[invisibility|invisible man]], [[Noah|Bennet]] immediately concluded it was Claude (Interesting, given that we now know he knew of two flyers by then).

The only thing that might be a problem would be the name...--[[User:Tim Thomason|Tim Thomason]] 20:41, 7 November 2007 (EST)
* I was thinking about this the other day, and I'd be curious to see how an article develops. Why don't you write something up in your user namespace. Maybe call it something simple and direct like "User:Tim Thomason/Powers with multiple users". Personally, I wouldn't include Sylar or Peter in the list, but it looks like you already thought of that. Let me know if you need any help or have any questions. :) -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 21:45, 7 November 2007 (EST)
** BTW, I wrote [[User:Tim Thomason/Powers with multiple users|said page]], if anyone's interested.--[[User:Tim Thomason|Tim Thomason]] 18:38, 11 November 2007 (EST)

And finally my second idea.
== What does one do about that? ==

Maybe we could have some articles on "Character X & Character Y History" Documenting the relationship between two different characters in the show history, so when two characters who do not normally meet (like Ando and Noah) there could be one article to tell us the relation and previous meeting of these characters.
What do you do when you leave a message for someone to stop doing something, and all they do is delete it from their talk page with no answer or anything, and they just continue on with what they were doing? (See [[User:Shadowulf1]])
--[[User:Riddler|Riddler]] 21:12, 7 November 2007 (EST)
* I restored the message and asked Shadowwulf1 not to delete discussions from talk pages. As for the fan powers page, I suggest just ignoring it. It will be going away soon eventually so any edits to it don't really matter. ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 21:16, 7 November 2007 (EST))

This would need a LOT of new articles (~30 characters in Heros, meaning we would have 900 new articles) But when we are watching season 5 (hoping there will be a season 5) we can instantly track previous characters interactions even if they barely met before.
== Heroes Wiki t-shirts (part 2) ==
[[User:Mr Hiro|Mr Hiro]] 21:01, 10 April 2010 (EDT)

EDIT: Damn it, no sooner have i finished complaining about Heroes wiki have i noticed Heroes wiki has already changed, looks like my first idea is already being implemented before i can even complain about it. Never mind, however i would still like to push my second idea. [[User:Mr Hiro|Mr Hiro]] 21:08, 10 April 2010 (EDT)
* I'm interested in printing up some t-shirts with [[Hiro]]'s quote "You don't have to have superpowers to be a hero" as well as "http://heroeswiki.com" on them. With the charitable contributions we're involved with each month this is one of the ideas I definitely want to convey to others. Everyone is capable of helping out other people and being a hero. If anyone has any design suggestions for a t-shirt with the quote and URL of of the site on it, feel free to submit them here. The image should be 10"x10". I'll probably be using CafePress and they have a sample template [http://www.cafepress.com/content/si/temp_10x10_apparel.zip here] that you can use. If you upload an image, please specify whether you designed it for a white or black t-shirt. Remember any transparent areas will show the base color of the t-shirt and not necessarily be white. ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 02:04, 1 December 2007 (EST))
*So long as we don't append silly "Sythan" style names to the pages (but rather something like Connection:Nathan Petrelli and Sylar), I think this could be a really good idea. Lots of Season One's plot points revolved around stuff like this. --'''[[User:Ricard Desi|<font color=#609000>Ricard</font>]]''' '''[[User talk:Ricard Desi|<font color=#609000>Desi</font>]]''' 21:15, 10 April 2010 (EDT)
**Great idea. I would actually like to see something really simple, perhaps just text:<br><br><center><font size="5" face="Bookman Old Style">you don't have to have superpowers to be a hero</font><br><font size="3" face="Bookman Old Style">--Hiro Nakamura</font><br><font size="2" face="Bookman Old Style"><nowiki>http://heroeswiki.com</nowiki></font></center><br>I'm actually thinking that it might like nice with Hiro's name in all lowercase letters, too, which goes against obvious grammar rules, but is allowable for design purposes. ** How would that be different from the content in [[Portal:Relationships]]?--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 23:06, 10 April 2010 (EDT)
*** I think it looks good. I (or I should say "we") have the relatively simple "Are you on the wiki?" t-shirts so it's my hope that this one could be a little more complex (though I wouldn't mind creating a simple version of the shirt as well). Hey, you know what? I know the [[Sarmy]] was able to get [[Ryan Odagawa]] and I believe [[Jason Badower]] as well to create logos for them. I wonder if either of them would be willing to draw up a Cafepress t-shirt design with the quote, URL, and some kind of of drawing. I'd be willing to pay them for it, too. ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 16:15, 1 December 2007 (EST))
*** It wouldn't be a fan creation, first of all. --{{User:BoomerDay/Signature}} 01:19, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
****There's also always the good ol' "lay the text over the Symbol/the eclipse" trick.--[[User:Hardvice|Hardvice]] <small>[[User talk:Hardvice|(talk)]]</small> 20:16, 1 December 2007 (EST)
****The only thing that's really stopping the relationships being a canon analysis is the names that we've given them. If they were renamed to ''Relationship:Hiro and Charlie'' for example, all the information and interactions come from canon sources and is canon. --[[User:Mc hammark|mc_hammark]] 08:29, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
****I'll ask Jason and Ryan if they're willing to be hired to create a logo. Do you have something in mind? Also, keep in mind that most of the [[trading cards]] artists are available too. Tim Sale might be tougher to schedule (and a bit more expensive) but I can ask him if you want. (He's on ''[[The Post Show]]'' tonight, by the way.) -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 21:46, 1 December 2007 (EST)
*****So we're basically looking at a massive move from all the corny fan creation names to "Connection/Relationship:X and Y", right?--''<small>[[User:Boycool42|<font color=blue>BOYCOOL</font>]]</small>'' -- '''''<big>[[User talk:Boycool42|<font color=black>THE END IS NIGH.</font>]]</big>''''' 09:32, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
***** I don't really have anything in particular in mind other than having the quote fairly prominent and the URL a little less prominent. I just want both to be readable like with the existing shirt, though the focus of the design should be on helping people and not on the wiki itself. [[Tim Sale]] would a very neat choice if he's interested. I don't know if they ever "graphic novelized" the scene between Hiro and Ando where he says the hero quote, but if not then that would be very neat to see Tim draw out in the same form as the other 9th Wonders! comics (assuming it's permissible). I'm not concerned about the money... if we can get an amazing design for these t-shirts then it would be well worth it. If more than one of them volunteer, we can consider multiple designs. Ultimately my goal for the design is to help promote the idea that everyone can be a hero by just helping out in their own ways. ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 21:59, 1 December 2007 (EST))
****** Perfect. I'll put out a few feelers. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 22:13, 1 December 2007 (EST)
******I simply don't think such articles are necessary. --[[User:Radicell|Radicell]] 09:48, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
*I agree that we don't need to duplicate/change the articles. I think the Relationship articles are okay as they are. I've grown to like having them as fan creations.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 11:28, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
******* Tim Sale art on the shirt would definitely get a sale from me. I've been tempted to contact a few of the artists from the show to ask them to draw me doing one of my [[Heroes Wiki Heroes|powers]] but I don't know how to ask without coming off as rude or intrusive, so I gave up on the idea. I just thought it'd be cool to have something like that from them.--[[User:Riddler|Riddler]] 22:21, 1 December 2007 (EST)
** I'm also not a fan of adding 900 new articles that need to be maintained when we have a hard enough time maintaining the articles we already have in existence. So many of those silly relationship articles--which could serve the purposes stated above, despite being fan creation articles--are stubs, and are looong stubs, at that. Even the [[connections]] page could be beefed up, but that page really is rarely touched, so I'm afraid to see what would happen when we add 900 more pages like it. Ultimately, this would be a huge project, and one I'm not very excited about. If somebody would like to create it in their user space and then move it into the main namespace when it's all finished, that is something we can certainly discuss. However, I have a feeling that the massive size of this undertaking will prove overwhelming and not worth the effort. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 16:37, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
******** Right, one does run the risk of coming off as rude or pushy or whatever...I'm going to ask a few of the artists with whom I have a bit of a better relationship. I'll ask Tim and Ryan and Jason and a few of the trading cards artists. I'll probably ask tomorrow though...I'm actually in the middle of a dress rehearsal for ''[[The Post Show]]'' right now. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 22:40, 1 December 2007 (EST)
***That's the thing though, if it were to be done, it be a waste of memory. The relationships already exist and use only canon information. If we created these articles, the only reason they'd be canon and not fan creations is the name. As soon as we slap a fan made name on anything it becomes a fan creation. --[[User:Mc hammark|mc_hammark]] 16:45, 11 April 2010 (EDT)

For the change if the character isn't an evolved human we put ''none'' and if he/she does but we don't know we put ''unknown'' Or, for example, Kaito's character bio we could put ''unk, see notes'' That's my two cents. -- [[User:Inblackestnight|Inblackestnight]] 23:57, 31 May 2010 (EDT)

The program requires fans to sign up to participate at [http://www.NBC.com/fanit http://www.NBC.com/fanit], though they can do so using their existing Facebook, Twitter, MySpace or MyNBC accounts.

As people accumulate points, they will be able to redeem them for various prizes, such as access to a yet-to-premiere series, NBC merchandise and entries to sweepstakes. To execute the Fan It program, NBC has partnered with the social media tracking company ThingFo Inc."

Also, "the network will kick off an ad blitz that includes a whopping 19 Microsoft properties and partners, ranging from MSN to Bing to Glo to various Xbox games. As part of the elaborate sponsorship package—which will run through Sept. 20—NBC and Microsoft have collaborated on “Preview to Fall TV” microsite within MSN TV. Now that Heroes has ended, I decided to do as if it was being published again or to recreate all contents of Heroes especially the Heroes 360 and Heroes Evolutions (including MySpace pages, blogs, graphic novels, iStories, webisodes etc.) in the exact same order it was done four years ago back in 2006. I've opened a Google group page called "[http://groups.google.com/group/reexperienceheroes?hl=en Reexperience Heroes]" where all the announcements about new episode airing, new graphic novel released etc. will be done. And the dates and hours it happened four years from now, will be exactly the same. So, today is July 21 2010, in the Reexperience Heroes we're in July 21 '''2006'''. Therefore we already have the MySpace pages of [http://www.myspace.com/clairebennetrh Claire] and [http://www.myspace.com/zachtothefuturerh Zach]. == Past tense ==

Now that Heroes has ended, should we put articles into past tense? Episodes articles should stay present tense for the plots, as these should be read as though the reader is describing the show as it happens. For character articles, I think it would be best if they were all in past tense, but for crew and actor articles, they should ''all'' be in past tense as is is unlikely than many of us will be checking up one every one of there careers. But before I do anything I want to see what others say. --[[User:Mc hammark|mc_hammark]] 18:54, 6 August 2010 (EDT)

== Something every single one of you may be interested in (though unrelated to Heroes) ==

Hey guys, it's been a while. Figured I'd pop in and give you all a heads up about a show I just discovered that's caught my interest.
It's a documentary show on the History Channel called Stan Lee's Superhumans. Basically the show is run by Stan Lee, who sends Daniel Browning Smith, a man who is considered to be the most flexible man in the world. He searches out humans across the world who are rumored to have "Super Powers", he witnesses them do their thing, and then he tries to find an explanation for the phenomenon. The first episode, for example, had a man who is [[electrical absorption|able to absorb or conduct electrical current without sustaining any harm]]; a man who's brain works faster than a calculator; a 5'6" man able to [[Super strength|snap steel, bend metal, and hold a motorcycle back with his hands]], and a blind man who can navigate via echolocation. Another episode featured a man who could punch with more lethal force than a 30+MPH car crash. It's wild stuff, and though Heroes was a drama show, I'm sure enough of us are fans of Super Humans in general, so I'm positive most of you would enjoy it. Anyway, hope all is well here. :)--[[User:Riddler|Riddler]] 01:52, 14 August 2010 (EDT)

== Animated Gifs and 9thwonders.com ==

[[User:Sandubadear|Sandubadear]] asked on [[Talk:Hachiro's ability]] about having a gif of Hachiro's ability being used to materialize Katana Girl (transform her into a physical person), and after I added some [[Hachiro's ability#Examples|screenshots]] to the ability page Sandubadear told me on my talk page that the desire was really for a moving gif. As I am not comfortable making a moving gif for this ability, I asked Admin about making it, whether it was okay to do so here/elsewhere and if the wiki should have a policy on animated gifs in general for our documentation, etc., and noting that I saw some abilities animated like Tommy's in the new Tumblr blogs shown on the revised [//9thwonders.com 9thwonders.com] site. Admin pointed me to this community portal for my questions.

The wiki has had a [[:Category:Animations|category for Animations]] for a while, but we use them only sparingly in articles (most animations don't work inside a gallery). Visions of Earth needs help!

Hey everyone! So as most of you probaly know, I am writing a fan fiction called "Visions of Earth", currently I am needing some help with the administrative side of it. E.g. Updating character histories, abilities etc. So, I am looking for someone who is interested in helping me. There shouldn't be too much work to do considering only one episode has been released. So if anyone is interested, please respond on my talk page! Thank you! :) --Leckie -- Talk 19:04, 26 March 2010 (EDT)

Few things that can be improved

Ok, first off, Great wiki, but i would improve a few things.

On the Character pages, we have (example)

Claire Bennett: Claire is daughter of Nathan, but adopted daughter of Noah. She can regenerate and blah blah blah

About Claire

She lived in Texas as a cheerleader...

Show History

In Season 1 Claire discovered her ability, ran away from sylar and gets held hostage by Ted, blah blah

In Season 2 Claire moves to Costa Verde and falls for West, blah

Then it goes

In Season 3 episode 1, claire does this

In Season 3 episode 2, we see claire for a slit second drinking tea

In Season 3 episode 3, claire does this and this ....

And finally my second idea.

Maybe we could have some articles on "Character X & Character Y History" Documenting the relationship between two different characters in the show history, so when two characters who do not normally meet (like Ando and Noah) there could be one article to tell us the relation and previous meeting of these characters.

This would need a LOT of new articles (~30 characters in Heros, meaning we would have 900 new articles) But when we are watching season 5 (hoping there will be a season 5) we can instantly track previous characters interactions even if they barely met before. Mr Hiro 21:01, 10 April 2010 (EDT)

EDIT: Damn it, no sooner have i finished complaining about Heroes wiki have i noticed Heroes wiki has already changed, looks like my first idea is already being implemented before i can even complain about it. Never mind, however i would still like to push my second idea. Mr Hiro 21:08, 10 April 2010 (EDT)

  • So long as we don't append silly "Sythan" style names to the pages (but rather something like Connection:Nathan Petrelli and Sylar), I think this could be a really good idea. Lots of Season One's plot points revolved around stuff like this. --Ricard Desi 21:15, 10 April 2010 (EDT)
    • How would that be different from the content in Portal:Relationships?--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:06, 10 April 2010 (EDT)
      • It wouldn't be a fan creation, first of all. --Boom D  83  01:19, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
        • The only thing that's really stopping the relationships being a canon analysis is the names that we've given them. If they were renamed to Relationship:Hiro and Charlie for example, all the information and interactions come from canon sources and is canon. --mc_hammark 08:29, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
          • So we're basically looking at a massive move from all the corny fan creation names to "Connection/Relationship:X and Y", right?--BOYCOOL -- THE END IS NIGH. 09:32, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
            • I simply don't think such articles are necessary. --Radicell 09:48, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
  • I agree that we don't need to duplicate/change the articles. I think the Relationship articles are okay as they are. I've grown to like having them as fan creations.--MiamiVolts (talk) 11:28, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
    • I'm also not a fan of adding 900 new articles that need to be maintained when we have a hard enough time maintaining the articles we already have in existence. So many of those silly relationship articles--which could serve the purposes stated above, despite being fan creation articles--are stubs, and are looong stubs, at that. Even the connections page could be beefed up, but that page really is rarely touched, so I'm afraid to see what would happen when we add 900 more pages like it. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:37, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
      • That's the thing though, if it were to be done, it be a waste of memory. The relationships already exist and use only canon information. If we created these articles, the only reason they'd be canon and not fan creations is the name. As soon as we slap a fan made name on anything it becomes a fan creation. --mc_hammark 16:45, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
  • This is my first time posting something here so please bear with me: I have a minor alteration request that I would like to run by the community and that is changing the character box on the right side where it says known ability to just ability because I find it a bit confusing for people we know have an ability, we just don't know what it is so none is posted, to me implying they don't have one. For the change if the character isn't an evolved human we put none and if he/she does but we don't know we put unknown Or, for example, Kaito's character bio we could put unk, see notes That's my two cents. -- Inblackestnight 23:57, 31 May 2010 (EDT)

The future is now

It's only just now occurred to me. Assuming Heroes gets picked up for a fifth (and almost certainly final) season, and if they're smart enough to fast forward through most of 2010, we'll actually get a look at the dreaded year 2011, when everything seems to go wrong. I wonder how they'll choose to address that? --Ricard Desi 12:25, 20 April 2010 (EDT)

  • Well everything has been leading there since the beginning, so it would seem. Especially with Claire's most recent actions... --Skullman1392 23:49, 20 April 2010 (EDT)

Fans of The 4400

Did any of you watch this fantastic show that ran from 2004 to 2007? Since activity on Heroes Wiki has slowed dramatically, I've decided to spread my wings: I've taken over The 4400 Wiki as an administrator and I've been working on the site for a couple of weeks now. We're still in the very early stages, and very few articles have been written, so any help we can get is appreciated. Any fans of this show may contribute, although admittedly Wikia's interface takes a bit of getting used to. And to those who haven't watched this show, I strongly recommend you do. --Radicell 09:11, 6 May 2010 (EDT)

Hello everyone :) I have recently started a new wiki over at Wikia, about the Percy Jackson series. NBC 'Fan It' Program Begins May 17, New Ad Campaign

NBC will be starting a new affinity program later today, May 17, called "Fan It". I'm hoping that there might be something related to Heroes in the program, though I wouldn't place good odds on it. You can read about it on the NBCUMV website, at MediaWeek, or ThingFo. According to the press release, it will be "allowing visitors to earn points by watching videos, chatting about shows, and sharing content with friends. The program requires fans to sign up to participate at http://www.NBC.com/fanit, though they can do so using their existing Facebook, Twitter, MySpace or MyNBC accounts.

In addition, NBC will promote its new lineup via Wonderwall, Windows Messenger, and various mobile and social media platforms."--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:05, 17 May 2010 (EDT)

Fall Line-up

Well, the Fall Preview is up at nbc.com. It looks like Heroes lost to a show called The Event, that's trying really hard to be some kind of Lost/Flashforward show... gotta be honest, looking at the line-up, I think NBC is going to get flattened this year. --Ricard Desi 09:36, 17 May 2010 (EDT)

  • Yeah, nothing looks particularly interesting other than Chuck. What could happen is, if none of these new shows get much viewings, NBC might bring back Heroes, or give them a few years out then bring them back, because although the fan base is small, it is a solid fan base. --mc_hammark 10:47, 17 May 2010 (EDT)

Keeping the Graphic Novels going.

NBC wants to know whether they should keep the graphic novels going. They've got a thread going on 9th Wonders, so I suggest we all head over there and let them know that we are still wanting the GNs. Thanks guys.--mc_hammark 06:51, 19 May 2010 (EDT)

Heroes Once Again

Now that Heroes has ended, I decided to do as if it was being published again or to recreate all contents of Heroes especially the Heroes 360 and Heroes Evolutions (including MySpace pages, blogs, graphic novels, iStories, webisodes etc.) in the exact same order it was done four years ago back in 2006. I've opened a Google group page called "Reexperience Heroes" where all the announcements about new episode airing, new graphic novel released etc. will be done. And the dates and hours it happened four years from now, will be exactly the same. So, today is July 21 2010, in the Reexperience Heroes we're in July 21 2006. Therefore we already have the MySpace pages of Claire and Zach. Those who are interested can join the google group also add Claire and Zach as a friend and write comments :) -- Jan Rodrigo (talk) (contributions) 07:38, 21 July 2010 (EDT)

Past tense

Now that Heroes has ended, should we put articles into past tense? Episodes articles should stay present tense for the plots, as these should be read as though the reader is describing the show as it happens. For character articles, I think it would be best if they were all in past tense, but for crew and actor articles, they should all be in past tense as is is unlikely than many of us will be checking up one every one of there careers. But before I do anything I want to see what others say. --mc_hammark 18:54, 6 August 2010 (EDT)

  • No, I don't think so. The articles are written from the perspective of happening at the moment. Think of it as watching it on the DVD, if needed. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:47, 17 August 2010 (EDT)

Something every single one of you may be interested in (though unrelated to Heroes)

The first episode, for example, had a man who is able to absorb or conduct electrical current without sustaining any harm; a man who's brain works faster than a calculator; a 5'6" man able to snap steel, bend metal, and hold a motorcycle back with his hands, and a blind man who can navigate via echolocation. :)--Riddler 01:52, 14 August 2010 (EDT)

Kaito Nakamura does have an abillity.

I was watching the bonus dvd from season 2 and i noticed something in the deleted scenes.

He hase the abillity to see the variables of any situation and predict the outcome.

Ando: Like a computer? Kaito: I'm faster. How do you think i've done so well in the stock market?

--StephanOtter 15:53, 5 November 2010

  • This has been mentioned several times, it has also been noted in the Notes section on Kaito's page. Also... since it was only shown in a deleted scene it is not official, meaning we can't class it as his ability, unfortunately. --Leckie -- Talk 14:09, 5 November 2010 (EDT)
