== Heroes: The Game ==
== How Sylar got Claires powers..... ==

Feel free to check out a radical new fan fiction: ''[[User:Radicell/The Game|Heroes: The Game]]''. Each installment to the game is a "mission" for the player to complete. Visit the [[User:Radicell/The Game/missions|mission list]] to read the two missions that have already been written and released. Enjoy. --[[User:Radicell|Radicell]] 04:47, 23 March 2010 (EDT)
Uh, so me and this buddy of mine are having a discussion on another forum about how Sylar got Claire's powers. Here's our discussion:

== Visions of Earth needs help! ==
First part we answered: (This is him)Hey ummm, in Heroes one part doesn't make sense.

Hey everyone! So as most of you probaly know, I am writing a fan fiction called [[User:Leckie/Visions of Earth|"''Visions of Earth''"]], currently I am needing some help with the administrative side of it. E.g. Updating character histories, abilities etc. So, I am looking for someone who is interested in helping me. There shouldn't be too much work to do considering only one episode has been released. So if anyone is interested, please respond on [[User talk:Leckie|my talk page]]! Thank you! :) --{{User:Leckie/Signature 10}} 19:04, 26 March 2010 (EDT)
In season 1 Spoiler:Future Hiro tried to stab Sylar, but failed because Sylar had claire's power in that timeline. Then they showed that Claire was still alive in that timeline, she was a waitress with brown hair. Soooo... how the hell is Claire alive and dead?Hey ummm, in Heroes one part doesn't make sense. In season 1 [spoiler]Future Hiro tried to stab Sylar, but failed because Sylar had claire's power in that timeline. Then they showed that Claire was still alive in that timeline, she was a waitress with brown hair. Soooo... how the hell is Claire alive and dead?

== Few things that can be improved ==
Part two: (My other buddy)Wrong, you're thinking of the waitress Hiro Nakamura met in Texas.

Ok, first off, Great wiki, but i would improve a few things.
(The fisrt buddy)In the alternate future of "Five Years Gone", Claire has been hidden from the world by Mr. Bennet due to the world's newfound awareness and fear of those with special powers, having been shipped from place to place in an effort to keep her identity and whereabouts secret from her biological father and his "hero"-hunting Department of Homeland Security. She works as a brunette waitress in Midland, Texas, in the Burnt Toast Diner, under the alias of "Sandra". She discusses an upcoming wedding with her blond-haired fiance, Andy (Kellan Lutz). However, upon learning that others are aware of Claire's existence, Mr. Bennet travels to Midland in order to once again erase Claire from the map. Although he succeeds in persuading her to pack up and leave, he is later betrayed by the merciless Matt Parkman, who telepathically discovers Claire's location and apprehends her at the diner.

On the Character pages, we have (example)
But

Claire Bennett: Claire is daughter of Nathan, but adopted daughter of Noah. She can regenerate and blah blah blah
Future Hiro told present Hiro that he couldn't kill Sylar because Sylar had regenerative powers that he got from Claire, which was the whole reason Future Hiro told Peter "Save the cheerleader, save the world" in the first place.

About Claire
Thus leading to this.....

She lived in Texas as a cheerleader...
(Me)But back to Vino's question about why Sylar sliced Claire twice in the same timeline..... Remember that the cheerleader he killed wasn't Claire. He chased Claire and Peter got there in time to save Claire but both falls to there "deaths". Peter then appearantly gets her powers thus leading him to not dying. They both then are reported "dead" but I think HRG(Noah) used the Haitians powers to erase their minds of what happened to the doctors. So, therefore Sylar sliced her brains again because the first wasn't Claire, it was her cheerleader friends. The second time, it was her. So that's why Sylar did that twice in the same timeline.

Show History
(Him)Future Hiro said he already had her power in that timeline, because when Hiro stabbed Sylar in that timeline he just regenerated. How the hell could he get her powers by cutting open some other random cheerleader?

In Season 1 Claire discovered her ability, ran away from sylar and gets held hostage by Ted, blah blah
And then this.....

In Season 2 Claire moves to Costa Verde and falls for West, blah
(Me)You do know that that future is the one we're in(Season 3-4) right now right? Or else how could he had gotten her powers? That's why they explained or showed that in season 3.

Then it goes
(Him)No that's not right, in the Future timeline of season 1 Hiro said Sylar had the ability to regenerate before the event at Kirby Plaza, you're talking about shit that happened month or years off of the events in season 1. Every timeline is different, though I haven't finished season 3 and 4 yet, I don't know how you can justify saying the events of the past/current seasons are all happening the same to set up the same future. There wouldn't even be a point in trying to save the future if it was fucked no matter what (which it kinda is since the timelines where the world end still happen, just in different timelines, like how Peter left that one chick in the future in season 2, and she never came back since that timeline was changed and she's basically trapped in an alternate future/dimension that can't be reached), and the whole time travel power wouldn't even be possible.

In Season 3 episode 1, claire does this

In Season 3 episode 2, we see claire for a slit second drinking tea
So, uh yeah..... That's his beef. He doesn't know how the heck Sylar has her power in that timeline.

In Season 3 episode 3, claire does this and this
[[User:Hmoob lor|Hmoob lor]] 13:10, 7 November 2009
....

Why can we not have a sweeping few paragraphs for the whole of volume 3 & 4 & 5 like we do for Season/Volume 1 & 2 rather than an episode by episode breakdown (which could be in its own article like "Claire Bennet: Season One History" and "Claire Bennet: Season Two History".)?
== Samuel Video ==

Is there any way someone can get a short clip of samuel bringing the police station down onto youtube. It doesn't have to have sound but if it has good quality it would be much better. Thanks for anyone that does. Please leave a link. --[[User:Mc hammark|mc_hammark]] 16:34, 13 November 2009 (EST)

And finally my second idea.
== Clothes article ==

Maybe we could have some articles on "Character X & Character Y History" Documenting the relationship between two different characters in the show history, so when two characters who do not normally meet (like Ando and Noah) there could be one article to tell us the relation and previous meeting of these characters.
I recently started a [[User:Mc hammark/Heroes Clothes|clothes article]] and it's progressing quite well (I think) and I'd just like to open it up for everyone else to edit if they want to see it look better, so please, be my guest. --[[User:Mc hammark|mc_hammark]] 16:43, 16 November 2009 (EST)

This would need a LOT of new articles (~30 characters in Heros, meaning we would have 900 new articles) But when we are watching season 5 (hoping there will be a season 5) we can instantly track previous characters interactions even if they barely met before.

*So long as we don't append silly "Sythan" style names to the pages (but rather something like Connection:Nathan Petrelli and Sylar), I think this could be a really good idea. *** It wouldn't be a fan creation, first of all. --{{User:BoomerDay/Signature}} 01:19, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
****The only thing that's really stopping the relationships being a canon analysis is the names that we've given them. If they were renamed to ''Relationship:Hiro and Charlie'' for example, all the information and interactions come from canon sources and is canon. --[[User:Mc hammark|mc_hammark]] 08:29, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
*****So we're basically looking at a massive move from all the corny fan creation names to "Connection/Relationship:X and Y", right?--''<small>[[User:Boycool42|<font color=blue>BOYCOOL</font>]]</small>'' -- '''''<big>[[User talk:Boycool42|<font color=black>THE END IS NIGH.</font>]]</big>''''' 09:32, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
******I simply don't think such articles are necessary. --[[User:Radicell|Radicell]] 09:48, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
*I agree that we don't need to duplicate/change the articles. I think the Relationship articles are okay as they are. I've grown to like having them as fan creations.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 11:28, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
** I'm also not a fan of adding 900 new articles that need to be maintained when we have a hard enough time maintaining the articles we already have in existence. So many of those silly relationship articles--which could serve the purposes stated above, despite being fan creation articles--are stubs, and are looong stubs, at that. Even the [[connections]] page could be beefed up, but that page really is rarely touched, so I'm afraid to see what would happen when we add 900 more pages like it. Ultimately, this would be a huge project, and one I'm not very excited about. If somebody would like to create it in their user space and then move it into the main namespace when it's all finished, that is something we can certainly discuss. However, I have a feeling that the massive size of this undertaking will prove overwhelming and not worth the effort. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 16:37, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
***That's the thing though, if it were to be done, it be a waste of memory. The relationships already exist and use only canon information. If we created these articles, the only reason they'd be canon and not fan creations is the name. As soon as we slap a fan made name on anything it becomes a fan creation. --[[User:Mc hammark|mc_hammark]] 16:45, 11 April 2010 (EDT)

*This is my first time posting something here so please bear with me: I have a minor alteration request that I would like to run by the community and that is changing the character box on the right side where it says '''known ability''' to just '''ability''' because I find it a bit confusing for people we know have an ability, we just don't know what it is so ''none'' is posted, to me implying they don't have one. For the change if the character isn't an evolved human we put ''none'' and if he/she does but we don't know we put ''unknown'' Or, for example, Kaito's character bio we could put ''unk, see notes'' That's my two cents. -- [[User:Inblackestnight|Inblackestnight]] 23:57, 31 May 2010 (EDT)

== The future is now ==

It's only just now occurred to me. Assuming Heroes gets picked up for a fifth (and almost certainly final) season, and if they're smart enough to fast forward through most of 2010, we'll actually get a look at the dreaded year 2011, when everything seems to go wrong. I wonder how they'll choose to address that? --'''[[User:Ricard Desi|<font color=#609000>Ricard</font>]]''' '''[[User talk:Ricard Desi|<font color=#609000>Desi</font>]]''' 12:25, 20 April 2010 (EDT)

General Electric, the parent Company of NBC Universal, which produces ''Heroes'', has sold 51% of NBC Universal to Comcast. The deal is final, pending DOJ and FTC review. *So what does this mean for NBC? (and Heroes, of course) --[[User:Skullman1392|Skullman1392]] 00:06, 4 December 2009 (EST)
** Well, there is some [http://industry.bnet.com/media/10005356/nbc-universal-comcast-will-eventually-exit-broadcast-tv/ speculation] that Comcast will make some changes to NBC to stop conflict-of-interest accusations from federal regulators. However, no changes have been announced yet, and hopefully, if any, they will be minor and not harm the show. Today, in addition to the acquisition announcement, Comcast released a [http://blog.comcast.com/nbcucommitment/ memo] confirming their commitment to NBC Universal's broadcast properties, which include the NBC TV Network, owned TV stations and affiliated stations. For more info. on some of the speculation, including a 28 minute video clip from today's CNBC interview with the CEOs of GE and Comcast, [http://industry.bnet.com/media/10005371/comcast-memo-seeks-regulatory-approval-of-nbc-universal-deal/ see here]. Something interesting to note is that GE has the intention of exiting completely from NBC Universal within seven years.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 00:56, 4 December 2009 (EST)

== Fans of The 4400 ==

Did any of you watch this ''fantastic'' show that ran from 2004 to 2007? Since activity on Heroes Wiki has slowed dramatically, I've decided to spread my wings: I've taken over [http://4400.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page The 4400 Wiki] as an administrator and I've been working on the site for a couple of weeks now. We're still in the very early stages, and very few articles have been written, so any help we can get is appreciated. Any fans of this show may contribute, although admittedly Wikia's interface takes a bit of getting used to. And to those who haven't watched this show, I strongly recommend you do. --[[User:Radicell|Radicell]] 09:11, 6 May 2010 (EDT)
Hey, everybody. The ODI has started a "Save ''Heroes'' Campaign" post in order to convince NBC that there is still a large number of fans out there who care about the show. Something else to check out are the [http://www.streamys.org/ Streamy Awards]. They have opened nominations just last night. The Streamies are for webisodes/web shows, and began having a winners/awards show this past Spring. They are run by the [http://www.iawtv.org/ International Academy of Web Television] (IAWTV), a global non-profit organization of content creators, performers, and executives. There will be a Crafts Awards ceremony on April 7th, 2010, and the main Streamy Awards ceremony on April 11, 2010. The 2009 ceremonies took place at the Wadsworth Theater in Los Angeles. They were live-streamed/co-hosted by Tubefilter and NewTeeVee on the web ([http://watch.streamys.org/go/ see clips]).<br />

== New Wiki Project ==
The general public can nominate their favorite shows, actors, and production members until <s>Jan. 15, 2010</s> Monday, Jan. 18, 2010 11:59PM PST. Anyone anywhere can make a submission; you don't have to be in the United States to do so. Content providers can also make certified nominations, and have until Jan. 22, 2010. It's one nomination per IP address per category per day, and those shows/individuals with the most nominations will become finalists ([http://www.streamys.org/submit/guidelines-and-eligibility/ see detail]). (Note: You can nominate more than one show/person for a category each day, but not more than once in the same category each day.) The IAWTV will select the winners from the finalists, except for the Audience Choice Award, which is based solely on popular vote. Voting for the Audience Choice Award begins March 9th, 2010.

Hello everyone :) I have recently started a new wiki over at [http://thelightningtheif.wikia.com/wiki/Percy_Jackson_Wiki Wikia], about the Percy Jackson series. == Heroes Once Again ==
I don't know if it has ever been brought up before but how about making a fanfic portal (e.g. Heroes Wiki:Fanfic Portal). A place to advertise all the different fanfic's and the latest issue's available. We could also do some sort of fanfic awards once a year or something, what does everyone think? - {{User:Jenx222/sig4}} 10:36, 29 December 2009 (EST)</span>
*I like the portal idea, though don't care for the award idea.--{{User:Catalyst/sig}} 10:41, 29 December 2009 (EST)
**I agree with Catalyst, although it might be interesting to see what the popular vote would be! Of course the writers couldn't vote because that could be considered cheating.. {{User:Iheartheroes/sig}} 10:43, 29 December 2009 (EST)
***P.S. See [[User:Iheartheroes/Template: Stories|this template]]! {{User:Iheartheroes/sig}} 10:45, 29 December 2009 (EST)
****Well by default, I think writers should only be able to vote for other fanfics. Well it's just an idea. Yeah IHH, that template is what gave me the idea, :P - {{User:Jenx222/sig4}} 10:47, 29 December 2009 (EST)</span>
*****Well I'll make a page for it as an example! But what about the "spin-off" things of series? {{User:Iheartheroes/sig}} 10:51, 29 December 2009 (EST)

* I think a fanfic portal makes a good user page, and Jenx's portal looks good, but it only contains those fics at Heroes Wiki. Also, I'm not sure about adding it to the mainspace. Technically, the fan fictions listed are fan creations, and we have a portal for those (See [[Portal:Fan Creations]]). If they are prestigious enough, then they could probably be considered to be part of a fan fiction subportal. However, most individual fanfics will likely not be, and they need to be considered on a case by case basis. We don't link every fan-made YouTube video for similar reasons.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 16:38, 29 December 2009 (EST)
**The portal is only for fanfics on this Wiki. If the portal cannot go in the mainspace (e.g. Heroes Wiki:Fanfic Portal) what about "Heroes Wiki:Community Portal/Fanfics" maybe? - {{User:Jenx222/sig4}} 16:50, 29 December 2009 (EST)</span>
*** "Heroes Wiki:Community Portal/Fanfics" sounds reasonable to me, but I'd wait until the January episodes starts up again before moving it there so more people can comment on it. In the mean time, adding a rename tag would likely be a good idea so people know about it.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 17:04, 29 December 2009 (EST)

**** Ok, sounds good. I'll wait until the page is complete before adding a rename tag. - {{User:Jenx222/sig4}} 17:10, 29 December 2009 (EST)</span>
*****Hey Jenx, I put the latest 19 news on the board, but I think 20 should be the limit. I would've gone to 20, but I didn't want to go through it all again and dip into August. Right now we have September-Present. But I don't know what the other stubs are about, so you can either tell me or do them yourself...and is there a reason why you took off what each series is about? {{User:Iheartheroes/sig}} 19:48, 29 December 2009 (EST)
******In the Image section we can put any image to represent the portal, just to brighten it up, :P. The links section is just for links to other pages within the portal, maybe a subscriptions page, writers page etc... I got rid of the summaries because it makes the page way too long. We can make another page with them on though. - {{User:Jenx222/sig4}} 04:30, 30 December 2009 (EST)</span>
*******Okay, I added my template and made the main link link to the page we are creating. Also, I did a few links in the "Links" section. Is that what you were talking about? Also the summaries page is just the one I had originally created. But the image you will have to do because I can't do that.... {{User:Iheartheroes/sig}} 12:08, 30 December 2009 (EST)
********The image looks good! But I don't think we need a header that says "Image", I kind of think its obvious and not needed. Also, I sorta understand why you took away the TOC, but why did you shorten the "Links" section?? {{User:Iheartheroes/sig}} 23:24, 1 January 2010 (EST)

Now that Heroes has ended, I decided to do as if it was being published again or to recreate all contents of Heroes especially the Heroes 360 and Heroes Evolutions (including MySpace pages, blogs, graphic novels, iStories, webisodes etc.) in the exact same order it was done four years ago back in 2006. I've opened a Google group page called "[http://groups.google.com/group/reexperienceheroes?hl=en Reexperience Heroes]" where all the announcements about new episode airing, new graphic novel released etc. will be done. And the dates and hours it happened four years from now, will be exactly the same. So, today is July 21 2010, in the Reexperience Heroes we're in July 21 '''2006'''. Therefore we already have the MySpace pages of [http://www.myspace.com/clairebennetrh Claire] and [http://www.myspace.com/zachtothefuturerh Zach]. Those who are interested can join the google group also add Claire and Zach as a friend and write comments :) --{{User:Janrodrigo/sig}} 07:38, 21 July 2010 (EDT)
== WTF! I need some clarification ==

== Past tense ==
Ok, you know Doadle or the Puppet Master, I don't know his name. But if anyone is a avid fan like me remember in the Pinehurst facility and the huge fire caused by Claire's mom. Now if you can recall there was a situation where Sylar had Claire's mom pinned and the puppet guy can up and started to control Sylar and then Sylar snapped his neck and the building exploded later. Now if this puppet guy is the worlds fastest fat-ass with a broken neck or were having a huge whole in the plot. Or he has a better twin brother at the carnival. Did I miss something?
-Colton
*Yes. He wasn't killed. It is DOYle. At Primatech, not PinehEArst.
*Yeah, I know but how? I mean the guy snapped his neck and even if he lived through that he would be unconscious at best. -Colton
**He didn't snap his neck, rewatch that scene, Doyle had too much strain trying to control Sylar, so he got a nosebleed, and fell overlike he was stunned or something... to be honest I'm not positive what exactly happened, but I know his neck wasn't broken. --[[User:Skullman1392|Skullman1392]] 02:30, 5 January 2010 (EST)

Now that Heroes has ended, should we put articles into past tense? Episodes articles should stay present tense for the plots, as these should be read as though the reader is describing the show as it happens. For character articles, I think it would be best if they were all in past tense, but for crew and actor articles, they should ''all'' be in past tense as is is unlikely than many of us will be checking up one every one of there careers. But before I do anything I want to see what others say. --[[User:Mc hammark|mc_hammark]] 18:54, 6 August 2010 (EDT)

Hey guys, it's been a while. Figured I'd pop in and give you all a heads up about a show I just discovered that's caught my interest.
== [[User:Mc hammark/Untold Tales|Untold Tales]] competition ==
It's a documentary show on the History Channel called Stan Lee's Superhumans. Basically the show is run by Stan Lee, who sends Daniel Browning Smith, a man who is considered to be the most flexible man in the world. He searches out humans across the world who are rumored to have "Super Powers", he witnesses them do their thing, and then he tries to find an explanation for the phenomenon. The first episode, for example, had a man who is [[electrical absorption|able to absorb or conduct electrical current without sustaining any harm]]; a man who's brain works faster than a calculator; a 5'6" man able to [[Super strength|snap steel, bend metal, and hold a motorcycle back with his hands]], and a blind man who can navigate via echolocation. Another episode featured a man who could punch with more lethal force than a 30+MPH car crash. It's wild stuff, and though Heroes was a drama show, I'm sure enough of us are fans of Super Humans in general, so I'm positive most of you would enjoy it. Anyway, hope all is well here. :)--[[User:Riddler|Riddler]] 01:52, 14 August 2010 (EDT)

== Kaito Nakamura does have an abillity. ==

I was watching the bonus dvd from season 2 and i noticed something in the deleted scenes.
== Heroes Monologues ==
Does anyone know if there are any scenes in Heroes that could be turned into a monologue? I have to do one for my acting class and I would like to do one from Heroes.
* At the beginning (and end) of many episodes, there is a monologue, but they're more like soliloquies. Nathan had a nice little speech at the end of ''[[Landslide]]'' when he gave his acceptance speech. I loved Samuel's opening speech in ''[[Orientation]]'' at Joseph's funeral. But really, ''Heroes'' does not have a lot of strong monologues for acting classes because usually they are musings on a subject, and the best acting monologues are those where a character has a motive or purpose--when they are trying to get another character to do something. A good example is in ''[[Battlestar Galactica]]'', at the end of the Season Four finale, when Lee Adama is in court and is trying to convince the panel of judges to find Baltar not guilty. Very moving, very passionate, and he's trying to get somebody to something else. A good one from ''Lost'' is at the end of Season One, I believe, when Jack gives his "live together, or die alone" monologue, trying to convince the islanders to go with him. Monologues where somebody is trying to persuade somebody else are always much more powerful, and it's usually what acting coaches look for. (Now if you were in a public speaking class, that would be something different altogether!) -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 11:01, 28 January 2010 (EST)
**Another useful ''Heroes'' one might be [[Linderman]]'s opening monologue from ''[[.07%]]'' ("People think I collect art..."). What kind of mood are you going for? --[[User:Ricard Desi|Ricard Desi]] ([[User talk:Ricard Desi|t]],[[Special:Contributions/Ricard Desi|c]]) 11:33, 28 January 2010 (EST)

== New namespaces ==

Ando: Like a computer?
The namespaces iStory and Fan Creation were created today and pages were moved to reflect that. If I missed any pages, or if anybody sees any glitches with this, please let me know. Thanks! -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 01:43, 12 February 2010 (EST)
Kaito: I'm faster. How do you think i've done so well in the stock market?
*Nice to see them up and running. --[[User:Radicell|Radicell]] 05:18, 12 February 2010 (EST)
**A note regarding the iStory pages. For each iStory volume, there is one summary page (ex. [[iStory:Slow Burn]]) and one chapter summaries page (ex. [[Slow Burn chapter summaries]]). It seems that the summary pages were put into the new iStory namespace, while the chapter summaries pages were not. That's why I moved [[Operation Bad Blood]] and [[Operation Splinter]] back into the mainspace, since those are chapter summaries pages ([[Friend or Foe]] is the corresponding summary page). Is this fine with everyone? This is somewhat related to the reason why on character pages, we have links piped as <code><nowiki>[[Purpose chapter summaries|Purpose]]</nowiki></code>. --[[User:Radicell|Radicell]] 05:24, 12 February 2010 (EST)
*** Yeah, that makes sense. However, it does bring up the question of whether or not we should move chapter summary pages to the iStory namespace. In other words, should [[Purpose chapter summaries]] be "iStory:Purpose chapter summaries"? My gut says no. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 11:57, 12 February 2010 (EST)
**** So does mine. I don't think pages such as "iStory:Purpose chapter summaries" would work too well. However, I do see the problem some may have with an iStory-related page existing outside of the iStory namespace and inside the mainspace. A random thought: what if the chapter summaries pages were moved to a subpage system? Such as "iStory:Purpose/chapter summaries"? --[[User:Radicell|Radicell]] 09:17, 13 February 2010 (EST)
***** Actually, I would like that a lot. But if there are others who don't like that idea, I'm fine with the way we have it now (with the chapter summaries in the main namespace). -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 11:56, 13 February 2010 (EST)
****** I like the subpages idea as well, and agree with keeping the iStory summary content in the iStory namespace. I think it makes more sense that way, as it allows searching by namespace to be more meaningful.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 18:42, 13 February 2010 (EST)
*******I'm fine with the idea of them being sub-pages (they would still be redirected wouldn't they), but what is the real problem with them being in the namespace? --[[User:Mc hammark|mc_hammark]] 18:44, 13 February 2010 (EST)
* Yes, they would retain redirects. My thought is that having 'iStory:Purpose chapter summaries' as a normal iStory page and not a subpage could be confusing, possibly implying that Purpose was a chapter and not a volume. I'm not sure if that's what Ryan's gut instinct was telling him, though... ;)--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 18:52, 13 February 2010 (EST)
**Yeah, I'd rather we add them as "iStory/Purpose" and "iStory/Purpose chapter summaries". --[[User:Mc hammark|mc_hammark]] 18:56, 13 February 2010 (EST)
*** Not exactly. It would be 'iStory:Purpose' and 'iStory:Purpose/chapter summaries'. That way, the iStory namespace would be used (anything with 'iStory:' in front of it is in the iStory namespace), and we could search the iStory namespace for related content using the [[Special:Search|search page]]. Is that fine with you, Mc hammark?--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 19:12, 13 February 2010 (EST)
****Yup, I won't really bother with the title of the article as long as the redirects work. --[[User:Mc hammark|mc_hammark]] 19:16, 13 February 2010 (EST)
***** Cool. I'll take care of the moves and the redirects. There might need to be some links changed on the site, but we can mostly keep the redirects as they are... -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 19:50, 13 February 2010 (EST)
****** <s>As an added bonus, because they're now subpages, a link back to the base page is automatically included on the top. Double cool.</s> Hmm...I thought there would be a link back. Not sure why there's not... -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 19:57, 13 February 2010 (EST)
*******Do you want all the pages that link to [[Purpose chapter summaries]] and [[chapter 5 of Purpose]] etc. to be changed to [[iStory:Purpose/chapter summaries]] etc? --[[User:Mc hammark|mc_hammark]] 20:01, 13 February 2010 (EST)
******** Not necessary. That's what redirects are for. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 21:56, 13 February 2010 (EST)

--[[User:StephanOtter|StephanOtter]] 15:53, 5 November 2010
*Another issue now. The new way pages are structured means that for each iStory page ([[iStory:Purpose]]), its chapter summaries page will be its subpage ([[iStory:Purpose/chapter summaries]]). So with that logic, [[iStory:Operation Bad Blood]] and [[iStory:Operation Splinter]] ''shouldn't'' be where they are, since they are chapter summaries pages for [[iStory:Friend or Foe]]. ****** Excellent. And thanks to those who updated all the double redirects. And all the appearance templates (I didn't foresee that issue.) Yes, the subpages for the two Friend or Foe chapter summaries were a good call. == Fan Made Powers ==
== I miss you guys ==

Does anyone still edit around here (except for good old Ryan)? I've just spent half an hour browsing through the articles and discussions on this site out of boredom, and I've been feeling small blasts of nostalgia and a lingering sadness that ''Heroes'' has forever ended and, really, so has our little community of Heroes Wiki editors. The Event Wiki just doesn't seem to have picked up the same momentum that we had around here. Anyway, this is also a sort of shout-out to all those Heroes Wiki editors I've met and worked with throughout the years, since I never really said a proper thank-you. And hopefully, the next time a highly-anticipated superhero TV series premieres, I'll see you all again. --[[User:Radicell|Radicell]] 03:05, 22 March 2011 (EDT)
Hey guys, I've recently made a [[User:Mc hammark/Fan and Other Images|fan made powers page]] which has a gallery of all the powers. I've put in ones that are either from other works or do not show pictures of other users' faces. If you want one of your fan powers added to the page, please leave a link to the image (or if it has it's own subpage, to that) and I'll see if it's good for uploading. Thanks. --[[User:Mc hammark|mc_hammark]] 15:51, 20 February 2010 (EST)
* *sniff* Hey, Radicell. Good to see you around. Yeah, I'm not sure why The Event Wiki hasn't taken off, and more specifically I'm not sure why Heroes Wiki fostered such a neat community. I've been tangentially part of a few other wiki communities -- for shows I've enjoyed more -- and I never felt the same kind of camaraderie as I felt on HW. It's pretty cool to be part of something successful and quality like this site, and I miss it too. :) Ah, such is life... -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 11:07, 22 March 2011 (EDT)

I thought it'd be a cool idea to create a wikia that parodies Heroes, we'd create similar articles to the ones we have here except that the content wouldn't have to be 100% accurate, just a humorous reflection of the actual truth. As I am not comfortable making a moving gif for this ability, I asked Admin about making it, whether it was okay to do so here/elsewhere and if the wiki should have a policy on animated gifs in general for our documentation, etc., and noting that I saw some abilities animated like Tommy's in the new Tumblr blogs shown on the revised [//9thwonders.com 9thwonders.com] site. Ok, first off, Great wiki, but i would improve a few things.

On the Character pages, we have (example)

Claire Bennett: Claire is daughter of Nathan, but adopted daughter of Noah. She can regenerate and blah blah blah

About Claire

She lived in Texas as a cheerleader...

Show History

In Season 1 Claire discovered her ability, ran away from sylar and gets held hostage by Ted, blah blah

In Season 2 Claire moves to Costa Verde and falls for West, blah

Then it goes

In Season 3 episode 1, claire does this

In Season 3 episode 2, we see claire for a slit second drinking tea

In Season 3 episode 3, claire does this and this

And finally my second idea.

Maybe we could have some articles on "Character X & Character Y History" Documenting the relationship between two different characters in the show history, so when two characters who do not normally meet (like Ando and Noah) there could be one article to tell us the relation and previous meeting of these characters.

This would need a LOT of new articles (~30 characters in Heros, meaning we would have 900 new articles) But when we are watching season 5 (hoping there will be a season 5) we can instantly track previous characters interactions even if they barely met before.

  • This is my first time posting something here so please bear with me: I have a minor alteration request that I would like to run by the community and that is changing the character box on the right side where it says known ability to just ability because I find it a bit confusing for people we know have an ability, we just don't know what it is so none is posted, to me implying they don't have one. For the change if the character isn't an evolved human we put none and if he/she does but we don't know we put unknown Or, for example, Kaito's character bio we could put unk, see notes That's my two cents. -- Inblackestnight 23:57, 31 May 2010 (EDT)

Fans of The 4400

Did any of you watch this fantastic show that ran from 2004 to 2007? Since activity on Heroes Wiki has slowed dramatically, I've decided to spread my wings: I've taken over The 4400 Wiki as an administrator and I've been working on the site for a couple of weeks now. We're still in the very early stages, and very few articles have been written, so any help we can get is appreciated. Any fans of this show may contribute, although admittedly Wikia's interface takes a bit of getting used to. And to those who haven't watched this show, I strongly recommend you do. --Radicell 09:11, 6 May 2010 (EDT)

NBC 'Fan It' Program Begins May 17, New Ad Campaign

NBC will be starting a new affinity program later today, May 17, called "Fan It". I'm hoping that there might be something related to Heroes in the program, though I wouldn't place good odds on it. You can read about it on the NBCUMV website, at MediaWeek, or ThingFo. According to the press release, it will be "allowing visitors to earn points by watching videos, chatting about shows, and sharing content with friends. The program requires fans to sign up to participate at http://www.NBC.com/fanit, though they can do so using their existing Facebook, Twitter, MySpace or MyNBC accounts.

As people accumulate points, they will be able to redeem them for various prizes, such as access to a yet-to-premiere series, NBC merchandise and entries to sweepstakes. To execute the Fan It program, NBC has partnered with the social media tracking company ThingFo Inc."

Also, "the network will kick off an ad blitz that includes a whopping 19 Microsoft properties and partners, ranging from MSN to Bing to Glo to various Xbox games. As part of the elaborate sponsorship package—which will run through Sept. 20—NBC and Microsoft have collaborated on “Preview to Fall TV” microsite within MSN TV. In addition, NBC will promote its new lineup via Wonderwall, Windows Messenger, and various mobile and social media platforms."--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:05, 17 May 2010 (EDT)

Fall Line-up

Well, the Fall Preview is up at nbc.com. It looks like Heroes lost to a show called The Event, that's trying really hard to be some kind of Lost/Flashforward show... gotta be honest, looking at the line-up, I think NBC is going to get flattened this year. --Ricard Desi 09:36, 17 May 2010 (EDT)

  • Yeah, nothing looks particularly interesting other than Chuck. What could happen is, if none of these new shows get much viewings, NBC might bring back Heroes, or give them a few years out then bring them back, because although the fan base is small, it is a solid fan base. --mc_hammark 10:47, 17 May 2010 (EDT)

Keeping the Graphic Novels going.

NBC wants to know whether they should keep the graphic novels going. They've got a thread going on 9th Wonders, so I suggest we all head over there and let them know that we are still wanting the GNs. Thanks guys.--mc_hammark 06:51, 19 May 2010 (EDT)

Season 4 DVD

Is there? I'd love to know what was cut from Season 4. AltesUTC CH 07:09, 14 June 2010 (EDT)

  • Me too, I really hope there is. I also wanna know what they thought wasn't good enough for the episodes! :L (God I'm sadistic) --Leckie -- Talk 07:11, 14 June 2010 (EDT)

Tim Kring launches new ARG with Nokia

It's called the Conspiracy for Good, and you can find out more info. about it including how to sign up at http://www.nokia.com/press/press-releases/showpressrelease?newsid=1426084 and http://www.conspiracyforgood.com/. It looks like it's not Heroes-related, but I thought it worth mentioning. It begins Mid-July 2010.--MiamiVolts (talk) 10:48, 27 June 2010 (EDT)

Heroes Once Again

Now that Heroes has ended, I decided to do as if it was being published again or to recreate all contents of Heroes especially the Heroes 360 and Heroes Evolutions (including MySpace pages, blogs, graphic novels, iStories, webisodes etc.) in the exact same order it was done four years ago back in 2006. I've opened a Google group page called "Reexperience Heroes" where all the announcements about new episode airing, new graphic novel released etc. will be done. And the dates and hours it happened four years from now, will be exactly the same. So, today is July 21 2010, in the Reexperience Heroes we're in July 21 2006. Therefore we already have the MySpace pages of Claire and Zach. Those who are interested can join the google group also add Claire and Zach as a friend and write comments :) -- Jan Rodrigo (talk) (contributions) 07:38, 21 July 2010 (EDT)

Past tense

Now that Heroes has ended, should we put articles into past tense? Episodes articles should stay present tense for the plots, as these should be read as though the reader is describing the show as it happens. For character articles, I think it would be best if they were all in past tense, but for crew and actor articles, they should all be in past tense as is is unlikely than many of us will be checking up one every one of there careers. But before I do anything I want to see what others say. --mc_hammark 18:54, 6 August 2010 (EDT)

  • No, I don't think so. The articles are written from the perspective of happening at the moment. Think of it as watching it on the DVD, if needed. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:47, 17 August 2010 (EDT)

Something every single one of you may be interested in (though unrelated to Heroes)

Hey guys, it's been a while. Figured I'd pop in and give you all a heads up about a show I just discovered that's caught my interest. The first episode, for example, had a man who is able to absorb or conduct electrical current without sustaining any harm; a man who's brain works faster than a calculator; a 5'6" man able to snap steel, bend metal, and hold a motorcycle back with his hands, and a blind man who can navigate via echolocation. :)--Riddler 01:52, 14 August 2010 (EDT)

Kaito Nakamura does have an abillity.

I was watching the bonus dvd from season 2 and i noticed something in the deleted scenes.

He hase the abillity to see the variables of any situation and predict the outcome.

Ando: Like a computer? Kaito: I'm faster. How do you think i've done so well in the stock market?

--StephanOtter 15:53, 5 November 2010

  • This has been mentioned several times, it has also been noted in the Notes section on Kaito's page. Also... since it was only shown in a deleted scene it is not official, meaning we can't class it as his ability, unfortunately. --Leckie -- Talk 14:09, 5 November 2010 (EDT)

I miss you guys

Does anyone still edit around here (except for good old Ryan)? I've just spent half an hour browsing through the articles and discussions on this site out of boredom, and I've been feeling small blasts of nostalgia and a lingering sadness that Heroes has forever ended and, really, so has our little community of Heroes Wiki editors. --Radicell 03:05, 22 March 2011 (EDT)

  • *sniff* Hey, Radicell. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:07, 22 March 2011 (EDT)

Alphas

I know very few people are going to read this, but for the ones who do, there's a new show airing on Syfy called Alphas that has grabbed my attention. It seems similar to Heroes in many respects and I've been impressed by the pilot episode. Just a note for anyone who's interested: there's an Alphas Wiki that looks like it'd be fun to edit. --Radicell 23:13, 15 July 2011 (EDT)

This made me smile

So I was reading this interview with Rockstar Games' founder, Dan Houser. Look at the last question on the last page.

It's funny. I spoke with Tim Kring, the creator of the TV show Heroes, earlier this year, and even that show had so much mythology going on he said that the writers lost track. But thankfully, the fans were so obsessive they had basically put together a wiki, and the writers were pulling information from that.

DH: We do the same. I would be very surprised if anyone working on a long running thing like this that is popular these days isn't. The wiki is pretty good. For some of the older games, where I just want to remember a particular person's name or a particular brand or something, it's probably in our records, but some of the details stuff from the wiki is amazing and we love it.

--Radicell 17:55, 8 January 2012 (EST)

  • That's great! Thanks, Radicell! Here's a tweet on the original interview. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:11, 10 January 2012 (EST)
    • I love this :) -- Leckie -- Talk 14:49, 26 January 2012 (EST)

Binge

Hey, everybody. The websites TV Binges & Primatech Files are going to do a Heroes binge on September 6 from 1:00 to 9:00 pm. They will be watching the episodes Genesis, Company Man, Five Years Gone, How to Stop an Exploding Man, Four Months Later..., 1961, and Brave New World. (What a great list!) It'll be a neat fan community event on Twitter. Details can be found at this link. Just thought I'd pass this along! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:55, 19 August 2015 (EDT)

Animated Gifs and 9thwonders.com

Sandubadear asked on Talk:Hachiro's ability about having a gif of Hachiro's ability being used to materialize Katana Girl (transform her into a physical person), and after I added some screenshots to the ability page Sandubadear told me on my talk page that the desire was really for a moving gif. As I am not comfortable making a moving gif for this ability, I asked Admin about making it, whether it was okay to do so here/elsewhere and if the wiki should have a policy on animated gifs in general for our documentation, etc., and noting that I saw some abilities animated like Tommy's in the new Tumblr blogs shown on the revised 9thwonders.com site. Admin pointed me to this community portal for my questions.

The wiki has had a category for Animations for a while, but we use them only sparingly in articles (most animations don't work inside a gallery). Hopefully, if this is allowed, someone else can help Sandubadear out.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:12, 9 November 2015 (EST)
