Empathic mimicry is the ability to duplicate the powers of other evolved humans. A full list of examples of the power in action follows.

Examples Peter explains to Nathan what happened when he got out of bed that morning. He tells him that his foot hovered for a split second before he hit the ground. (Genesis) Peter duplicates his brother Nathan's ability to fly after Nathan drops Peter. (Genesis) On a rooftop, Peter doesn't realize that he is walking on air while in Nathan's presence. (Don't Look Back) Peter duplicates Isaac's ability to paint the future. (Don't Look Back, Hiros) Peter duplicates Claire's ability to heal the fatal injuries he received in a long fall. (Homecoming) Peter duplicates Matt's telepathic ability, causing a disturbing feedback loop between them. (Fallout) Peter has a dream in which he mimics the ability to fly. (Super-Heroics) Peter duplicates Claude's invisibility; Peter and Claude can't be seen by anyone but each other. (Godsend, The Fix, Distractions, Unexpected) When Peter is impaled on top of a taxi, he regenerates, though nobody with that power is nearby. (Distractions) By remembering the other evolved humans he has encountered, Peter displays brief flashes of invisibility, telepathy, and precognition in rapid succession. In a cargo container in Cork, Ireland, Peter mimics an ability to fend off some thugs. (Four Months Later...) Peter mimics rapid cell regeneration after receiving a beating from Tuko (Caitlin doesn't find any cuts on his face, but wipes off a large amount of blood). Peter mimics phasing to escape his bonds. He then mimics lightning, telekinesis and enhanced strength to fend off Caitlin's attackers. (Lizards) Peter mimics telepathy and hears Will's thoughts. Later, Peter mimics telekinesis to move an armored truck. In the Wandering Rocks, Peter mimics telekinesis to pin Will against the wall, and mimics rapid cell regeneration to force out two bullets fired into him. (Kindred) Peter mimics lightning on a beach after saying Caitlin's name. He later accesses telepathy, and hears Caitlin's thoughts.
