Synopsis

Samuel Sullivan gives a speech to a group of people of all ages and races, standing with him around a funeral, understood to be Samuel's brother Joseph. He speeks about being a family, recognition and appreciation of the evolved people, their existence in the outside world, abilities, struggles to keep their normal lives, without being haunted from the past. He then says that in their place, they offer salvation, hope and redemption and that the they would come to them and unite. He then closes the earth with his ability, just after throwing a compass to the grave. Then they head, walking towards a carnival.

We are in around six weeks after the death of Nathan. In Arlington, Virginia Claire arrives to the dormitory of her college, where she meets Annie, her roommate.
