Eric Roberts

I'm pretty sure they didn't give the name of the guy playing Mr. Bennett's direct superior. But was that Eric Roberts playing him? If so he looks a lot different than our BCG picture of him. I can't really tell. Is there a place where we can find each episode's credits?--E rowe 22:17, 26 February 2007 (EST)

Yes, he's credited. I have the beginning credits listed now. Going to check the end credits, then watch the whole thing again. --Fcphantom 22:22, 26 February 2007 (EST)
I was watching it with captions, and it labeled him Thompson.--Riddler 22:23, 26 February 2007 (EST)
Nvm, I misread what you guys were saying.--Riddler 22:26, 26 February 2007 (EST)
No, you read us just fine. Good idea checking the captions. I think there was really no doubt that he was Thompson, at least knowing that the actor was Eric Roberts. But, since his name wasn't said out loud on the show, the captions help to nail it down. I assume that's good enough for a canonical source anyway.--E rowe 22:29, 26 February 2007 (EST)

Young versions

So what do we do with the young versions of our characters? Young Haitian was Sheku Fofana [1], "Young Asian" (presumably Hiro) was Garrett Masuda [2]. --Fcphantom 22:25, 26 February 2007 (EST)

  • I'm pretty sure the father explicitly called him Hiro when they left.--E rowe 22:27, 26 February 2007 (EST)
    • You're right. I was being distracted by the web thing I guess. --Fcphantom 22:30, 26 February 2007 (EST)
  • I'm saying we add logic to Portrayer in the character box to allow multiple portrayers.--Hardvice (talk) 05:10, 27 February 2007 (EST)

Was there a shot that showed Ted radiating and Claire walking to him getting fried all in one frame? If so, that might be a great episode main image.--E rowe 22:32, 26 February 2007 (EST)

  • Too much of a spoiler, imho. That's one of the climax points.--Riddler 22:33, 26 February 2007 (EST)
    • Plus we like to tie the image to the ep's title. --Fcphantom 22:34, 26 February 2007 (EST)
      • Maybe one of the flashbacks, maybe him with Mr. Nakamura and Baby Claire? It DOES show he's working for someone, in a sense. Have the caption show the point where it says "She belongs to us" or something.--Riddler 22:35, 26 February 2007 (EST)
        • I'd avoid a picture that includes Kaito since that kind of spoils one of the surprises as well. (Admin 22:37, 26 February 2007 (EST))
  • Might be a little spoilery, especially for being on the main page. My suggestion is one of the black and white scenes with Mr. Bennet. I think one of those scenes would go well with the episode title. (Admin 22:35, 26 February 2007 (EST))
    • How about the first one- when he's int he office getting interviewed? Is there a shot with both of them? Webrunner 23:09, 26 February 2007 (EST)
      • I agree -- I'd actually prefer to see the black-and-white interview shot over the current one we have. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:41, 27 February 2007 (EST)
  • The main image we have up now with Thompson and Bennett across from each other is perfect! But could anyone upload images of Claire's heroism for the separate image section, maybe one from while she's walking toward Ted frying and one when she's leaving the house and starts to heal? It seems like too much of a watershed moment not to have.--E rowe 11:44, 27 February 2007 (EST)

2-Screen Experience

So... lots of information is conveyed in the whole 2-screen experience thing. Is this being documented somewhere on the wiki? Obviously, the trivia goes in the trivia section. But I have a transcript of most of Hana's meddling through the interwebs, and nowhere to put it. Rwun 23:18, 26 February 2007 (EST)

Somewhere in the 360 area I would suppose. It was awefully interesting tonight. Anyone know if they replay it three hours later for the west coast? I can't always tune in at the right time here. --Fcphantom 23:21, 26 February 2007 (EST)
Create another account, in the pacific time zone? Rwun 23:30, 26 February 2007 (EST)
Please do put these somewhere, my computer is in a different room than the TV, so I'd like to know what all is going on (NBC is not kind to my living arrangements).--Baldbobbo 23:35, 26 February 2007 (EST)
Working on it at Two-Screen Experience. If I can't fill out the couple of lines I missed, I hope there's someone on the west coast who can fill it out... Rwun 23:56, 26 February 2007 (EST)
Clicking on it now, I get that the interactive experience is only 9e/8c.... but something about it being played every hour on the hour for the next 2 days? Rwun 00:22, 27 February 2007 (EST)

When I'm done touching up the synopsis, I'll work on the gallery so we can remove that "See Also" link. --Riddler 01:24, 27 February 2007 (EST)

Ignore this, I didn't realize every episode had this.

Now I absolutely do not intend to offend whoever wrote this, and I respect the fact you wrote all of that, but I think a lot of this should be paraphrased or rewritten. I changed a lot of it already to be grammatically correct, but if you read through it, there is a lot of "He tells" and things like that repeated in every sentence... --Riddler 02:05, 27 February 2007 (EST)

  • No offense taken. :) I'm sure a lot of it can be touched up, there's a lot of info to capture when I write the synopsis and I'm usually concerned more with getting it down. Once it's added it's much easier to touch it up than to worry about making it look pretty on the fly. I write very long "synopses" (which admittedly isn't the best term for what I write) and I know based on some people who link here that the level of detail is appreciated and is one thing that makes our synopses stand out from the rest, so I wouldnt paraphrase too much of it, but please do rewrite anything that feels awkward. (Admin 02:28, 27 February 2007 (EST))

Character Portals

  • So ... Thompson and Candace ... Supporting, Recurring, or Guest? I'd say Guest for now and we can promote them if need be.--Hardvice (talk) 05:38, 27 February 2007 (EST)

  • I just have to comment that almost every minute of this whole episode, I felt like I was just glued to all the action and history being revealed. It plain rocked! --Orne 07:57, 27 February 2007 (EST)
    • I agree.. definitely the best ep yet. Methinks this is the one that's going to win them a bunch of emmys :D :D --Frantik (Talk) 08:42, 27 February 2007 (EST)
      • I couldn't agree more. I'd love to see more eps that focus one just one storyline. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:43, 27 February 2007 (EST)

First airing

  • MatthewFenton brings up a valid point here that perhaps the "first aired" should be 2/25 because of its early Canadian airing. Do we want to consider the first airing to be the first US airing, or the first airing anywhere? (Admin 11:50, 27 February 2007 (EST))
    • I think we either have to change the first airing to 2/25 or change the note's name to "First U.S. airing." I don't really care which we do. --Fcphantom 12:31, 27 February 2007 (EST)

The Haitian

  • So they explicitly talk about The Haitian's power in this episode. "Plucking out memories" is how it's described. If that's so, then how is he able to nullify other heroes' powers? Is he eliminating memories as soon as they're created? That would work on Parkman, but not on Sylar.--BShort 12:19, 27 February 2007 (EST)
    • We have it on Chandra Suresh's authority that the seat of all special abilities is somewhere in the brain, which fits with Sylar's need for brains to gain his powers. Memory is also understood to be a function of the brain. So maybe the Haitian's power is some sort of brain manipulation and those are the two ways he has been able to use it. This type of power would work against Sylar as much as any other evolved human, since Sylar is like any other of them in that he must be doing something in his brain to use any powers he has acquired.--E rowe 16:31, 27 February 2007 (EST)

Mr. Nakamura

  • How is he involved in The Company? Is he at the top? The fact that Claude and Bennet speak excellent Japanese indicates that The Company might be primarily Japanese, or at least their "division" is.--BShort 12:26, 27 February 2007 (EST)
  • Does he know Hiro has a power? It seems at least possible that if Hiro is manifesting, then Mr. Nakamura might have a power as well.--BShort 12:26, 27 February 2007 (EST)
    • Maybe Hiro's adopted too...? --Frantik (Talk) 20:05, 27 February 2007 (EST)
  • Also, if Mr. Deveaux's was somehow involved in the company, what was his role? The heroes sure like hanging out on his rooftop.--BShort 12:26, 27 February 2007 (EST)
    • Good questions all. Unfortunately I don't think anyone (outside the cast/crew) has anything more than speculation at this point. --Fcphantom 12:30, 27 February 2007 (EST)
      • Ah, yeah, I'm not suggesting these questions are answerable right now, but they're worth speculating about.--BShort 12:58, 27 February 2007 (EST)

I'm wondering if anyone knows what Mr. Bennet was thinking when he used Japanese... it was not subtitled - maybe something good in there? Jtatum 13:27, 28 February 2007 (EST)

Claire's Needle

I was wondering, if everything burn in the house, even Claire herself, why doesn't the needle burn too ? It's a little bit easy how Claire approach Ted with a plastic needle that doesnt dissolve. It may have been discussed somewhere ? Or what's your opinion ? --FrenchFlo(talk)(contribs) 12:16, 5 March 2007 (EST)

  • Perhaps it was a glass syringe that may have been a bit more sturdy. Or, since it was her main goal in returning to the house, Claire could have protected it with her hand. Or perhaps it did melt, but not before Claire was able to administer it to Ted....Or maybe we just need to suspend belief. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:57, 5 March 2007 (EST)

The Haitian

also I rewatched the episode and i don't get why The Haitian din't went inside to stop ted? -- (WaterRatj) 20:22, 27 January 2010 (EST)

  • it is possible that he couldn't stop ted. Given he could be defeated by someone powerful, Arthur, Radioactivity seems much more, and he probably couldn't stop him (or get near enough to stop him). --mc_hammark 17:28, 28 January 2010 (EST)
    • Does this make any sence? lol, don't got a thing you said. -- (WaterRatj) 17:25, 28 January 2010 (EST)
      • René could be overpowered by Arthur because Arthur was powerful. Ted's ability seems to be much more powerful than any of Arthur's, therefore, René probably couldn't block it. --mc_hammark 17:28, 28 January 2010 (EST)
        • That was another case, cause Arthur had Telepathy and multi-abilities. This doesn't mean that Ted's ability was to powerfull for the Haitian to stop. -- (WaterRatj) 20:23, 28 January 2010 (EST)
          • Rene couldn't even prevent Nathan from flying away because of how sudden it was. I imagine Ted's ability was far too strong for the Haitian to stop it without passing out. --Ricard Desi (t,c) 21:23, 28 January 2010 (EST)
            • Think its just an error, thats another case, Rene worked for angela and also, he had all the time for Ted, that wasn't something quickly, He could have stopped it -- (WaterRatj) 22:47, 28 January 2010 (EST)
