Mental manipulation is the ability to manipulate others' minds, causing them to lose memories or preventing them from using special powers. A full list of the power in action follows.
Examples
Season One

In an L.A. bar, a medical facility, and the Odessa Police Department, the Haitian blocks most of Matt's telepathy when he tries to read his or Mr. Bennet's thoughts. Each time, Matt hears static.
(One Giant Leap, Collision, Fallout) -
Sylar is unable to use his telekinesis in the presence of the Haitian (though Eden is able to use her power).
(Homecoming) -
The Haitian erases parts of Zach's and Lyle's memories. He mentions that he has erased Sandra Bennet's memories "so many times".
(Fallout) -
After delivering news of Eden's death to Eden's deadbeat father, Mr. Bennet tells the Haitian, "Don't erase everything. Leave the guilt."
(Fathers & Daughters) -
The Haitian completely prevents Matt from being able to listen in on Mr. Bennet's thoughts. (Godsend)
