Bennet, Noah

Mr. Bennet has a power unknown to The Company, possibly an enhanced intuition.	None.	+ Bennet says, "I don't know what to do." and Thompson replies with "Is that a new sensation for you Bennet?" (Company Man) He knows exactly how to get Matt Parkman and Ted Sprague out of their cells, he knows where everything is in their cells and he knows what Ted needs to do to cause the power to go out. (.07%) This explains a lot of how Mr. Bennet gets out of his sticky situations. - It could well be that Bennet had a hand in designing the cells, and built in the items necessary for escape because he suspected that he might someday end up in one. Or he might just have used the cells enough to know them very well. - The Company seems to keep close tabs on everyone, especially people who work for them. It's hard to explain how Mr. Bennet might have slipped under the radar. - His "power" could simply be intuitiveness and the ability to improvise which are just as much natural gifts as powers. - His actor, Jack Coleman, has stated in interview that he believes (and hopes) that Mr Bennet will not be shown to have an ability. - The company teams operate in pairs with one normal human and a superpowered one as a means to, quoting Thompson, "keep everyone honest". Bennet first worked with Claude, who possesses invisibility, and later the Haitian, who has memory manipulation and power negation abilities.
Instead of killing "The Walker Tracking System" Bennet will adopt/kidnap her to get her away from The Company.	None.	+ Bennet has experience in raising super-powered children. + Mr. Bennet was shocked that Molly Walker was a child. (Landslide) Being smart he also realizes that killing Molly will only be a stop-gap measure. Since an identical power can be shared by more than one person (Claude indicated he had worked with empaths prior to Peter), the Company just needs to find another person with the same power as Molly to re-activate. It would be far wiser to abduct Molly and have her locate others with the same power she has to preemptively get them before the Company does.

Bennet, Sandra

Sandra's condition is caused by repeatedly being subjected to The Haitian's power. If her health continues to degenerate, Mr. Bennet will eventually be discovered and forced to reveal the truth about his organization.	Sandra looks visibly ill when she returns from the doctor (Run!). She further shows evidence of unexplained brain hemorrhaging. (Unexpected).	• Events in Company Man corroborate this theory. • Mr. Bennet considers himself responsible for her illness.
Sandra's condition was caused by the blow to the head that she suffered from Sylar's attack or another blow that the Haitian had erased from her memory so she did not seek appropriate medical treatment.	The doctor reviewing Sandra's case to Claire asks if she has been battered or suffered a serious blow. (Run!)

Claremont, Mr.

Deveaux, Charles

Charles had a power similar to Sanjog's, like a sort of "spirit guide".	Peter had a dream about Charles around the same time Charles died. (Nothing to Hide)	- Peter's dream was most likely his power of empathy in action; he connected with Charles's feelings and emotions. + However, Peter was somehow able to speak to Charles after his death and Charles seemed to be fully aware of what Peter was doing at that moment. (How to Stop an Exploding Man) - Peter's second dream with Charles may have been just a dream.
Charles had the power of astral projection.	None.	+ Charles was in a coma for an extended period and in some depictions, "astral travelers" become unconscious as their mind travels elsewhere. + Charles said that while asleep he had been flying around the world and seeing things happening. The accounts of those who claim to have experienced astral projection are very similar to this description.
Charles Deveaux was an agent of the Company.	Several agents of the Company meet on his rooftop in a flashback. (Company Man) Charles Deveaux spoke with Angela Petrelli regarding their work to exploit the explosion (How to Stop an Exploding Man)	+ Claude also would be able to hide in plain sight (so to speak) while he was up there, since the last place the Company would look for him is right under their noses.
Charles had the power of premonitions slightly differently than Isaac's power of precognition. Charles could have dreamed the future and recalled the images upon awakening. (Genesis) - Time-travel tends to render predictions weird; it's hard to tell if Charles' dreams were wrong or if time-traveling changed things. + He also had a dream where all the main evolved humans came together during the New York explosion. (Fallout) - However, the dream was very inaccurate. (How to Stop an Exploding Man) + Peter mentioned to Simone or his brother that that he saw things, that he had these dreams of what's to come. - Peter's first dream occurred during Nathan's accident, before he even met or started working for Charles (Six Months Ago)
Charles had a power dealing with love.	None	+ Charles tells Peter that he loves him and he knows about love.
Charles was the father of D.L. Hawkins and grandfather to Micah Sanders.	None	+ The lives of D.L. and Niki were supposedly manipulated by Linderman in the hopes of arranging Micah's birth. Charles has presumably known Linderman for decades and may be a willing participant in the breeding of evolved humans. + D.L.'s father is unknown and Simone's mother is unknown. • Angela Petrelli and Kaito Nakamura were also participants in the conspiracy and had super powered offspring. - Just because D.L. and Deveaux are both black, doesn't mean they're related. That would be like saying that Matt is also Linderman's son. That theory is just as liable.
Charles had power mimicry like Peter.	None	+ He was able to see Peter while invisible, much like Peter can see Claude. He also commented, "Invisibility. I always thought that would be a good one to have." (How to Stop an Exploding Man) - Claude was able to see an invisible Peter and Claude is not a mimic. • Being able to see other invisible people could be a property of the invisibility power instead of power mimicry. + Claude implied that he knows (of) more people with power mimicry. He also had a habit of hanging around on Charles' rooftop. • The series has yet to show multiple people with the same 'root' (not stolen or absorbed) power, although by Claude's comment it is possible that they exist. - He commented that invisibility would be a good power to have, implying that he does not have it. He would probably have met Claude by now, either through his work with the Company or on one of the many times Claude visited the roof of his building, meaning that if he was an empath, he would have absorbed invisibility.
Peter's encounter with Charles was a dream created by Sanjog Iyer.	none	- In other dreams formed by Sanjog, the dreamer was not able to interact with the people he saw. • Peter was not exactly "interacting" with Charles; more, Charles was somehow able to detect Peter, and monologued at him.
Charles Deveaux has the power to negate the powers of others.	None	+ He was able to see Peter Petrelli invisible. • He seemed to be aware that Peter was watching the vision.
Charles Deveaux is Haram	None	+ Both Haram and Charles and connected to the Company and we've yet to see how Charles is. • Perhaps Charles wanted to retire to be with Simone. + Claude goes to the Deveaux roof, because it is like his home, where Charles (Haram) his ex partner/friend lives. That is where he felt safe. - Charles is at least 70 in 2006, which would make him at least 54 in 1990; Haram appears much younger than 54. - Charles is African American, yet Haram is Arab.

Hawkins, Paulette

Jumpsuit

Masahashi, Ando

Ando has the power to focus or amplify other people's powers, possibly making himself immune in the process.	None.	+ Ando is the only one who remembers the "original" timeline where Hiro met Charlie only shortly before she was killed by Sylar. + Every time Hiro uses his powers near Ando, Hiro is able to do what he wants. When Hiro is not near Ando his powers are unpredictable. Also, when Isaac was around Ando, he was able to paint the future successfully without drugs. - Ando is next to Hiro at the Museum of Natural History, and Hiro is only able to slow time, not completely stop it (Godsend). + Hiro's powers were very weak, and perhaps slowing time was the peak of his abilities at that moment. - When Hiro attempts to go back in time and save Charlie (Seven Minutes to Midnight), he moves back far further than the day he intended to, despite his proximity to Ando. + If Ando's ability is just developing it might explain this though, or that Ando did not want Hiro to save Charlie. + Alternately, Hiro's power may have been amplified too much. - Sylar had the opportunity to take Ando's brain, but refused. He also mentions to Ando that he has no use for his brain. (How to Stop an Exploding Man) • Sylar has been shown as unable to tell whether or not someone has powers without outside information: he killed Jackie in the style he reserves for evolved humans, despite her being the wrong target, and only realized his mistake afterward. + Absorbing Ando's supposed amplification powers could only be a disadvantage to Sylar, since he has no allies. The only Evolved humans he would amplify would be enemies.
Ando has some kind of power involving the control of objects in motion.	Ando is nearby when the bullet from Hope's gun stops and then goes back into the barrel, causing it to "backfire". (Unexpected)	- Hiro was also near the gun, and was actively concentrating, and has reversed time in the past, such as the subway train's clock. (Genesis) - Ando has shown no other examples of using any powers. - Ando told Peter that he does not have any powers. (Homecoming). + The bullet was forced back into the gun and caused Hope to lose control of it. This would not happen if time was rewound. The bullet would simply go back in the guns barrel and then Hope would try to shoot Hiro and Ando again. Something stopped that bullet and forced it back into the barrel with force enough to dislodge it from Hope. Also, although the bullet returned to the gun, external time seemed to remain constant, as the police arrived almost immediately. (Unexpected) - Hiro may be able to localize his powers (specifically around the bullet and gun, this may also explain how the gun was dislodged from Hope's hand as she was fighting a recoil that was no longer there). If this is possible then we could see Hiro stopping bullets/arrows in real time. - Writers Joe Pokaski and Aron Coleite confirmed in an interview that "Hiro did in fact make time reverse, causing Hope’s gun to misfire." - Sylar had the opportunity to take Ando's brain, but refused. He also mentions to Ando that he has no use for his brain. (How to Stop an Exploding Man) • Sylar has been shown as unable to tell whether or not someone has powers without outside information: he killed Jackie in the style he reserves for evolved humans, despite her being the wrong target, and only realized his mistake afterward. - This power is very similar to telekinesis, therefore, seems unlikely.
Ando has the ability to speak the future.	None.	+ There are many instances where Ando's offhand utterances later turn out to be true. He says that he and Hiro need to find hope, only to meet a woman named Hope moments later. (Run!). - This observation may simply be a device the writers have used to play up the need for Ando's character since Hiro learned English, or, more likely, to play up Hiro's quest for destiny. - Sylar had the opportunity to take Ando's brain, but refused. He also mentions to Ando that he has no use for his brain. (How to Stop an Exploding Man) • Sylar has been shown as unable to tell whether or not someone has powers without outside information: he killed Jackie in the style he reserves for evolved humans, despite her being the wrong target, and only realized his mistake afterward. • He also didn't attempt to kill Hiro in Seven Minutes To Midnight, he only killed Charlie.

Nakamura, Kaito

Mr. Nakamura is an evolved human.	None.	+ Kaito tells Hiro that he has waited a long time for a Nakamura to ascend and that he has proven yourself worthy of his legacy and his power. When Hiro asks his father about his own power, his father replies, saying that he knows, but for a time, he did not believe Hiro had the strength to wield his gift. Kaito continues, saying that years ago, he had allies, others with power and that they fought to save the world. (Landslide) + Kaito is affiliated with the Company, which is also affiliated with Linderman. He may be one of Linderman's super-powered associates from the past. + Micah's and Claire's abilities have been inherited. If this is consistent, Mr. Nakamura also has powers. + Kaito has been expecting the ascension of a Nakamura, which means he knows that power runs in the Nakamura family. + When Kaito says that he had "allies... others with power" it is not clear if the first person relatively to "others" is Hiro or himself. - Kaito may simply be skilled in normal means, such as his demonstrated swordmanship, or even in a similar way to Noah Bennet.
Mr. Nakamura is the head of the Company.	None.	+ He seems to have incredible sway over other members of the Company (Company Man). + He is powerful enough to order Noah Bennet to adopt Claire (Company Man). + He also is known to have significant resources at his disposal, given how easily he monitors and abducts Hiro and Ando (Distractions). + Some members of the Company speak Japanese, possibly having learned the language at the orders of Mr. Nakamura. (Company Man) - In a conversation with Hiro, he tells him that he has friends who have tried to save the world but now have lost their way. It is implied that he finds the plot of Linderman and his allies distasteful.
Mr. Nakamura has been hiding Hiro from the Company.	None.	- Mr. Nakamura tells Mr. Bennet he will have to turn over Claire when and if she manifests a power (Company Man) and Kaito has not turned over Hiro to the Company. + It may well be that his high-up position in The Company (see the above theory) enabled him to forego normal procedures.
Mr. Nakamura's organization is a competitor to Linderman's organization.	None.	+ Mr. Nakamura's organization is powerful and well funded. Linderman's people act independently of the Company, and no one associated with Linderman that we know of has tracking marks. - Linderman can call upon Company resources for assistance, indicating that he either controls the Company or is influential within it. Kaito Nakamura is Takezo Kensei and has either teleported to the present (or returned here depending when he's originally from) or is extremely long-lived (or immortal).	Kaito tells Hiro that he has waited a "long time" for a Nakamura to ascend. He never thought it would be Hiro, but he has proven to be worthy of his legacy and his power. (Landslide)	+ On Yamagato Fellowship, there is a picture of Takezo Kensei that shows rollover text of "Kaito Nakamura". + Kaito often told Hiro stories about Takezo Kensei. + Kaito also has a sword and is skilled with it. + In an interview, George Takei strongly implied that Takezo Kensei is Hiro's ancestor. • It has been suggested that Kaito is one of the older generation of evolved humans that included Linderman. If so, we don't yet know what his power is. + When Hiro goes back in time to feudal Japan, Takezo Kensei looks remarkably similar to Kaito. Of course, he is wearing armor and a mask, so it is impossible to tell for sure. (How to Stop an Exploding Man). + When Kaito said "a long time" and "a Nakamura" instead of "you or your sister", he suggested that he hoped that more Nakamuras could have "ascended", probably in different generations. + The name "Kaito" can be formed by taking letters out of "Takezo Kensei". + If you take the first three letters of "Takezo" and combine them with the last two letters of "Kensei", they form "Takei", the last name of the actor who portrays Kaito Nakamura. + Kaito Nakamura is Takezo Kensei and has the power to live for thousands of years. He has been waiting generations for one of his offspring to exhibit powers and it has now occurred. He has watched and waited and now has the honor to help teach Hiro his skills in Samurai. He is now a competitor to Linderman and is one of the ancient heroes who believe in honor (we should see more of them in season two.) + When Mr. Nakamura first draws the sword and looks into it his eyes look very similar to the eyes that were the only part of Kensei's body shown through the armor. + Takezo was born in 1584. That means that when Hiro teleported to 1671, Kensei was 87. Without immortality or some similar power, he would not be able to ride around on horseback and fight at such an advanced age. - In T.V. Guide it stated that Takezo Kensei is not Asian so Kaito Nakamura can not be him.
Mr. Nakamura has the power of enhanced teaching.	None.	+ Mr. Nakamura taught Hiro advanced sword techniques in the course of one day. (Landslide) - Mr. Nakamura says that has been waiting for a member of his family to ascend, suggesting he has no powers of his own.(Landslide). + He could have just meant he was waiting for one of his children to ascend. - In director/producer Beeman's blog, he states that Kaito "was worried it would seem foolish that Hiro learned so much [about swordsmanship] in just a few hours." This indicates that enhanced teaching is not likely to be his power.
Kaito Nakamura's power is enhanced sword skill, or some other fighting ability.	None.	+ Hiro's conversation with his father strongly mirrored Nathan's conversation with Linderman. Linderman answered Nathan's question ("What could you possibly know about healing?") by using his power on a plant. Kaito answered Hiro's question ("What can you possibly know... of killing?") by performing some maneuvers with a sword. - In an interview, Pokaski and Coleite was asked, "I have a theory on Kaito Nakamura's power. When Nathan is speaking with Linderman, when Linderman heals the plant he states that he knows 'a few things' about healing. When Hiro asks his father what he knows about killing, he also responds 'a few things.' Am I on to something?" Their response was "Nope." - It does not take a superhuman ability to be skilled with a sword.
Kaito Nakamura is no longer with the company	None	} Nakamura, Kimiko Theory Citations Notes Kimiko has powers. Nathan and Peter are evolved siblings. Hiro is an evolved human. (Genesis) • Micah and Claire Bennet inherited their powers, so it makes sense that all the Nakamuras also have powers. - Shanti was an evolved human but her brother Mohinder is not. The siblings of evolved humans are not necessarily empowered. - There is no reason to believe that powers can only arise if inherited, as that would raise the question of why powered individuals have only appeared recently (relative to all of human history, that is). This theory will bear more weight if and when Kaito Nakamura is shown to have an ability. - The genetically inherited powers can also skip a generation or miss completely. Thats what happens with genetic code. It's unpredictable. Parkman, Janice Theory Citations Notes The father of Janice's baby is not Matt. Janice has been having an affair with Tom McHenry. (Seven Minutes to Midnight) + Janice and Matt have been having many marital problems. The time when she discovered she was pregnant could fit together with the time when she was sleeping with Tom. Janice always seems to be very tense when Matt is around and when he is reading her thoughts, although that could be she is just busy censoring her thoughts for privacy. - She specifically requested that he read her mind about the baby rather than simply telling him about it, which could be read as evidence that she at least believes the baby to be Matt's; it would be foolish to invite Matt to read a specific piece of information from her mind when there is another closely-related piece of information that she does not want him to have. Matt is the father of Janice's baby. None. + Matt slept with his wife. (Hiros) + This theory seems to be confirmed in the possible future. (Five Years Gone) Nathan is the father of Janice's baby. None. + Nathan slept with women who are not his wife. (Collision) - There is no proof that Nathan ever met Janice. Petrelli, Angela Theory Citations Notes Angela knows Claude. Angela is caught shoplifting socks (Genesis). Her son Peter meets a man who uses invisibility to sort of frame him for purse snatching (Distractions). • Claude has behaved as if he encountered people like Peter before — even helped them understand their powers. Perhaps those people include Angela and/or Peter's father. Angela Petrelli has a power. None. + Both the Petrelli boys have powers and Claire has a power because her biological parents has powers. + Angela seems to suggest that she has powers when she says to Claire, "[In Paris], you'll have the chance to grow up and develop into someone that can make her own choices, and then if you choose to... to come back and join this madness like I once did." The implication is strong enough that Claire asks, "You mean you're like me?" (.07%) - It is more reasonable to say that Claire thought that Angela was in the exact same situation with her biological parents. It's illogical for Claire to think that Angela would "come back and join this madness" because she had a power. • This is unlikely condsidering Angela has watched over Claire and knows about her powers. Also when Angela refers to "madness" it would only make sense she's referring to people with abilities. + Nathan acts very strangely when he talks with Claire. He says "I did... I do" in response to "Your mother said you wanted to see me". He also displays mannerisms and speech patterns that are exactly like Angela's, while contradicting a seemingly agreed-upon action between Nathan and Peter to get Claire to stay in New York. This may suggest a power of telepathic control, shapeshifting, takeover, or illusion possessed by Angela. (.07%) - Nathan does not act strangely at all. That scene fit his nature and character. He wants to win the election and is still questioning Linderman's "plan." Despite this conflict, he still wants Claire as a daughter, and says she will be back with her family. Also, Nathan believes the explosion is imminent and may be trying to get Claire safely away. • If there is a link between the mother and the passing on of the abilities, it is possible, since all mitochondrial DNA comes from the mother, that this is the key to expressed abilities. + She appears to know much more than one would normally. She knows of incidents that have happened to Claire, she knew Nathan Petrelli was questioning allowing the explosion to take place, she knew Linderman had died, and she mysteriously appears at exactly the right point in time when Claire is trying to escape. (How to Stop an Exploding Man). + When trying to convince Nathan to just let the explosion happen, she places her hands on his back. Moments later, he is agreeing with her, saying variations of exactly what she said. Later, when Peter reads Nathan's mind, he is thinking the same thing ("It can't be stopped") over and over again. (How to Stop an Exploding Man) + It is implied that she does have an ability. She seems to know about people and events when others just figure things out as well. Her point of view seems to be the same as the others around her or at least those she choices. When she is speaking to Nathan, she seems to strongly imply the word "perspective". In study, perhaps that is her power, seeing the point of view or wants of others. This would explain Peter's dream of Nathan's car accident. Peter may have absorbed her power since he was around her so long, taking on her power of "Perspective". In theory, her power would allow her to see the point of view of anyone she wishes. Peter was most likely thinking all night about Nathan wanting to prosecute their father so Nathan was the only person on his mind. If he absorbed his mother's powers, he was seeing Nathan's accident first hand, from his point of view. Yes, he saw it later than Nathan did but maybe that power can allow you to view what they have seen at any time. This would also explain how she knew about both Peter and Nathan's powers when they were going to tell her in front of the fireplace. Also, this suggests her power when Nathan is surprised that his mother knew that Nathan wanted to talk to Claire. Angela is an empath. None. + Angela's evasive answer to Claire indicates she may have a power. (.07%) + Claude has apparently encountered an empath before, since he seems familiar with Peter's powers. - However, he was not familiar with how an empath's powers work. • This could have been because the Empath he knew had powers that worked differently - no two evolved humans have yet been shown to possess similar, let alone the same powers. Also, he could have intentionally been misleading Peter about how his powers would work. + Empathy could explain any number of odd abilities she seems to have. Angela has rapid cell regeneration. None. + Angela's evasive answer to Claire indicates she may have a power. (.07%) + She seems to hint at this when she says to Claire, "You get that mouth from me." She had mentioned Claire being able to spit up bullets, so she may have been referring to this. (.07%) - It's more reasonable to say that Angela was referring to Claire's rude mouth: "Whether I want to or not." Angela too uses harsh words when she was talking to Peter after the shoplifting incident and in Peter's hospital bed after he tried to fly. She could also have been talking about a physical resemblance. • When Angela says "Broken bones and spiiting up bullets" she is referring to Claire's power. - If she did, Peter would not have needed to be close to Claire to heal, after battling Sylar at the Homecoming. + However, Peter was not familiar with using his powers by thinking about someone, and he was not aware his mother had powers. - He was also not aware that Claire had any powers. He almost certainly suspected that she did, but he had no way of knowing what they were. + However, the incident in Homecoming occurred before Peter was able to recall powers when their originators were not present, which could explain why he did not exhibit his mother's powers of healing (if she has any). Angela may be clairvoyant. None. Angela's evasive answer to Claire indicates she may have a power. (.07%) • When Nathan had his accident, Peter somehow knew about it the moment it happened. Since Peter's abilities are derived from people he knows or has met, he may have been tapping into her clairvoyance. - Peter had a dream; it is more likely that his empathy connected with Nathan and he saw the accident through his point of view. He even mentions that he was connected with his brother, and explains to his mother how he was connected -- "No, I'm saying before the call. Like he was telling me, 300 miles away. I woke up, and I knew that he'd been hurt." (Genesis) Angela has the as-yet unexplained power of transportation. None. + Angela's evasive answer to Claire indicates she may have a power. (.07%) + She has possibly referred to the aspect of mental transportation by: 1) knowing Claire spit up bullets, 2) knowing about Peter and Nathan's powers before they did. + She has possibly referred to the aspect of physical transportation by: 1) talking about "taking Claire" to Paris. 2) Ask Ausiello revealed that Angela has a power that is "very similar to a power possessed by another hero, only in her case, it takes a lot less effort to get from Point A to Point B." One interpretation is that it is a physical transportation power of getting from A to B, like Hiro's teleportation. • Transportation could have both mental and physical applications, therefore allowing Angela to mentally transport into the minds/memories/dreams of others, as well as to physically transport from location to location similar to telekinesis. It could also be something along the lines of astral projection. + She implies that though it didn't seem like she was there for Claire, she was there in ways she might not understand. • It seems more likely that she was referring to how she was watching over Claire from a distance, such as by ordering the Haitian not to wipe her memory. Angela Petrelli is an agent of the Company who was partnered with Mr. Petrelli. Claire was given to surrogate parents until she manifested. (Company Man) • It is possible that Peter and Nathan were given to the care of Angela and Mr. Petrelli in the same manner as Claire. • She knows the Haitian. She and the Haitian are working for an organization against the Company, which is a powerful ancient/ancestral organization that has existed for ages. He faked a suicide, possibly with the help of Nathan to protect his wife and family and so not to be put into a position either against his son or against Mr. Linderman. Peter did not sense his own father's passing, like Charles Deveaux's or Nathan's accident. Their mother stated that Nathan was the one who found his father dead.(Genesis), (Six Months Ago). • Since Peter's father supposedly committed suicide after Nathan's accident, he had already experienced his first vision. - This theory requires that nobody other than those in on the fake suicide had seen Mr. Petrelli's body, an unlikely scenario that has not been indicated in the show. + Unless, of course, somebody like Candice created an illusion of Petrelli's corpse. Since Candice works for Linderman, it would only be feasible for it to have been her if Linderman himself was involved in the death-faking, although there could well be other illusionists out there. - It is highly unlikely Candice would have had anything to do with such an event, since she, according to Thompson, was just developing when they had Matt in custody. - While Nathan tells Peter that their dad is dead from a heart attack, Angela Petrelli told Peter in the hospital not only that his father suffered delusions of grandeur and had committed suicide, but that he had attempted it several times before. If his death was faked, those previous attempts are no longer explained. + It could be that the previous attempts at suicide were genuine, and that they were exploited to add weight to the claim that he had committed suicide. Mr. Petrelli, and possibly Angela, were agents of the Company and Mr. Petrelli was killed because he was about to reveal company secrets to the public. Over this time, they had normal lives and grew to regard the Company agents as their parents, and in order to continue his protection of Peter and Nathan, Mr. Petrelli was prepared to go public. He was killed by the the Company to prevent this. Mrs. Petrelli's behavior toward Peter after his semi-failed attempt to fly also can therefore be interpreted as her desire to keep her "favorite" son from being exposed. Mr. Petrelli did not have delusions of grandeur. His suicide was a way to make Linderman's healing power public. Linderman has healing power. Mr. Petrelli decided to report the truth, but Linderman denies everything about his healing powers. Linderman states he might be delusional. (War Buddies, Part 5) • Petrelli pushed Linderman going public about his healing power by committing suicide, forcing him to heal him.
