Was the episode not tonight? I came here expecting updates, 'cause I thought I missed the episode. Am I missing something?--Riddler 23:37, 16 March 2009 (EDT)

  • They took the week off, so it's on next Monday. --TrueBlueBrooklynite 23:39, 16 March 2009 (EDT)
    • Any reason? Was something else more important? lol--Riddler 23:43, 16 March 2009 (EDT)
      • I don't know for sure, but filming on the finale wrapped this past weekend. I imagine somebody smart figured they'd all be hung over and not wanting to do Heroes Interactive updates, NBC.com updates, and all the other extra work that the production crew does on a Monday. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:55, 16 March 2009 (EDT)
        • Ah thanks. I am in England so I wondered why there was no Heroes this week in US. Thanks for update. Hopwas2007 06:17, 18 March 2009 (EDT)

rebel

  • hi i am a non us user and want to know eho is rebel , can someone post it here after they waqtch the episode , thanks
    • Once the episode has aired wait a few hours and check: Rebel. It should be updated as to who Rebel really is after the episode has aired (keep in mind, however, that it probably won't be changed until after every US timezone has seen it) --Peter 20:39, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
  • ok , thanks

micah's voice

IceGhost78 looks like micah went through puberty!

I was just about to say that. -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 21:28, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

Yeah, he had like a much deeper voice than in Season 1 and 2--ExiledPrince 02:59, 24 March 2009 (EDT)--

Wow.

And that is all I have to say. --OprahDust

IceGhost78 omg
Illusionist1920 Can Daphne be dead for real this time, please?

Bryan Fuller, You Amaze Me.

Tonight's episode showed flat out the kind of influence Bryan Fuller brings to this show. You could sense his presence in Exposed, but he was given full control in this episode, and it shows. There's a genius to what he does, from his artistic yet realistic dialogue (HRG's "big, fat cut to black" line was great), to his real understanding of characters and relationships. With the Matt/Daphne storyline, he summarized their relationship perfectly: It was one borne of dreams, and one to end in them. Me and my friends were greatly affected by that scene, and agree it was one of the best sendoffs this show has EVER produced.

Since Season 1, Heroes has had its series of problems. But after the absolute amazement I felt tonight, I have hope for something new to emerge from this show. It's that return of magic that made the first season so great. Before the formula, before Claire's blood, there was a magic to the show that made fans like me wish we had powers, that we were as blessed with the joys and strifes as the characters in this show. Bryan Fuller, as an aspiring writer, I have to say: You are an inspiration. --Cairoi 23:30, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

Nooooo

  • I'm crying(((( farewell, Nemesis. We always loved you(((( --Altes 02:49, 24 March 2009 (EDT)

Well, that explains it.

I thought the interactions between Daphne and Matt were stupid, but I guess the ending explained it. There were still a bunch of other stupid things about this episode though, IMO. Bloodbath 22:01, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

Bryan Fuller is God. - anon

tracys death was mad gay, felt like i was watching dragon ball z there when she did that. daphne died and i was in love with brea grant IceGhost78
Daphne died? how the Hell did I miss that? Guess I was too busy spazzing out over the pure awesomeness of that episode! TomJs35713
Daphne was so awesome, and i also love brea grant. Why must they kill all the main characters from season 2 and 3? I rather see someone like Mohinder, Nathan or Angela die. //Larvig 10:39, 24 March 2009 (EDT)
Daphne was cool for about three episodes... and then she met Matt, made Matt ten times lamer than he ever had been, and became totally useless herself. Then again, almost everything about Volume 3 was lame... >.> I will say that my love for Angela has increased once again, however. And Tracy's probably the fakeout death. Illusionist1920
Freeze Flash (what I call it) is a viable use for freezing and cyrokinesis (whichever term you prefer). I had a heroes-like fan fic of a man with cyrokinesis. The strongest thing he can do is basically what Tracy did tonight, Only my character can freeze faster, his eyes glowed, and he didn't die. So while my freeze flash might not have been as realistic, I like what they did, because it feels like a nod off to my character (even though it's not). --Dman dustin 00:07, 24 March 2009 (EDT)

Breaking the Ice

Ok...i'll go ahead and ask it...What do we think about Tracy's supposed death....God, i hope it's not final!--Anthony Gooch 22:08, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

Betting it's a fake out, or else they wouldn't have bothered with that eye shot. -Illusionist1920 22:09, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

IceGhost78 i don't know man it looked like the real deal, recovering from shattering after being frozen? but i will reiterate my previous statement and say her death was too fake
It really looked final. But Illusionist brings up a good point with that eye shot. I mean, even for Tracy, that shouldn't be possible... unless her powers are evolving. Maybe she can transform herself into ice and/or water now, a la liquid man or Elisa or Donald Essex. Just speculation. But I really hope it isn't final. I didn't like Tracy at first but this volume, her character grew on me. And it just isn't Heroes without Ali Larter in some form. :P -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 22:11, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
Hey, she was an identical triplet, so there's still one more character for Ali to play if Tracy is indeed dead. Though it's hard for me to conclude that she's dead with that wink after she was shattered. (Admin 22:15, 23 March 2009 (EDT))
I saw her eye blink in the ice or was that just me--Wowsters 22:37, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
There was a wink, however the meaning behind it isn't exactly clear. (Admin 22:38, 23 March 2009 (EDT))
IceGhost78 i saw her left eye cry (leave a tear) and blink
I think Tracy isn't dead I think shes going to come back together some how or maybe come back as someone else like maybe ... well not Tracy but Ali Larter and IMDB.com states that shes in every episode this volume.--Icykidd 22:43, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
  • Unless she has somehow aquired regeneration, she's dead. Bloodbath 22:52, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
    • Ok, call me hopeful but, maybe regeneration or reforming is a byproduct much like plant manipulation or water mimicry.--Anthony Gooch 23:18, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
      • I don't think ice reforms itself. What you're thinking of is water but apparently Tracy is unable to manipulate that state (other than freezing it) --Formless 23:30, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

The only reason she froze was she froze everything with water on it in the room and she had water on her too from the sprinklers. If she did die, at least she did it saving someone else and thinking of someone other than herself for once.--WarGrowlmon18 00:31, 24 March 2009 (EDT)

I really don't think she's dead. I mean, the wink wouldn't have been included if she was. There would be no possible way for a frozen/dead body to accomplish that distinct of a wink. After that performance, I love Tracy even more than I did in the beginning of the season. Long live Tracy and Freezing! Angela was great in this episode as well, along with HRG. The Hiro/Ando situation didn't turn out as bad of a story line as I thought it would, but Daphne dying sotra disappointed me (had a soft spot for that character :)). The absolute best thing about this episode was definitely the parking garage, and it should ABSOLUTELY be the cover pic. Dean 01:29, 24 March 2009 (EDT)
  • Dollars to doughnuts, Tracy's fine. The wink on her ice-head is proof enough for me. I saw it as a "little do they know..." type moment. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 01:53, 24 March 2009 (EDT)

In the X-Men comics, Bobby Drake aka Iceman can create an Organic-Ice Form. Which is and I quote from http://www.marveldatabase.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page the ability to not only cover his body with ice, but to actually become organic ice. Though the appearance is similar, Iceman is now actually translucent in his ice form. Iceman is virtually indestructible in this form: he can reform his shattered body, and even if the rest of his body is completely destroyed, his head can form a new body from frozen liquids. In this form he will be able to use the moisture in the air to form spikes, shields and other extra appendages to his body. If this icy form is shattered, he can rebuild himself through the same process. All he needs is a surrounding body of water sufficient for his needs.

If her frozen face can still blink it in theory could do what Bobby Drake can, there's plenty of frozen liquid around to reconstruct her body. Never shown this before in the comics that I am aware of but it could be possible for her to not only reconstruct her body but redesign what she looks like. So until we get absolute confirmation that she is 100% dead I call it speculation to say she is.--Snow Leapord 11:48, 24 March 2009 (EDT)

Audrey?

To quote BTE:

"“Will we be seeing Clea DuVall's character Audrey Hanson again? She was a great guest star. Will we be seeing her again in ‘Fugitives’ or later volumes hunting our Heroes?”

Joe Pokaski & Aron Coliete: We actually talked a lot about Audrey Hanson and bringing back Clea DuVall. It seemed like a natural fit for the “Fugitives” storyline. But, I’m sorry to say you won’t be seeing Clea during this arc and the reason for that will be revealed tonight in “Cold Snap.” "

Did I miss something? What was the reason she wouldn't be appearing? -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 22:33, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

  • Could be something cut from the episode and is in a deleted scene or something.
    • BTEs are usually released a few hours before their respective episodes. By that time, they would know what scenes were cut and which weren't. I'm pretty sure I just missed the explanation... -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 00:33, 24 March 2009 (EDT)
      • Perhaps it's because they brought back Janice, but it's not really clear to me either.--MiamiVolts (talk) 03:32, 24 March 2009 (EDT)

Only Micah?

I'm kind of disappointed that only Micah was Rebel and no one else, I was expecting a little bit more like molly or something--Wowsters 23:01, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

  • Perhaps we don't know everything yet. Like LAWR.--Ikkian 23:00, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
  • I really like the message that Rebel's identity sends. It doesn't necessarily take a huge organization to fight another huge organization. All it takes is a person with enough drive and motivation...and a kick-ass power. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:19, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
    • I always suspected it was Micah and I was right. As for LAWR we know one of them is Anna so another is probably Ricardo Silva aka Red Eye. Someone thought L might be for Leona.--WarGrowlmon18 00:34, 24 March 2009 (EDT)
      • What's a LAWR?--Altes 02:51, 24 March 2009 (EDT)
        • W could be Molly Walker.--Mistyjo 09:59, 24 March 2009 (EDT)

Lead image?

I'm thinking the parking garage. ^_^ --Whizzles 23:16, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

  • Of course, we gotta pay our respects and give her props!...i agree!--Anthony Gooch 23:19, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
  • I was thinking of the garage...or the closeup of Tracy's mouth with her cold breath visible. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:20, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
    • Ryan, what are we (and by we i mean you lol) gonna do about the title screen...i think this is the first time they've separated the Chapter number from the Chapter name, putting them in 2 different screenshots--Anthony Gooch 23:26, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
      • It is the first time, you're right. I'd say choose one or the other. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:28, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
      • Hey just had an idea...We could use the first title shot ("Chapter Seven" on the heat lamps) as the title image. Then for the lead image, we could use the profile shot of Tracy blowing cold air, but surrounded with the red heat (without the "Cold Snap" text, though). That's kinda cool. I think it'd work nicely... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:30, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
        • Couldn't we combine the two in a single picture?--Ikkian 23:29, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
          • Nope, the first one was from a wide shot with the text on the heat lamps. The second was from a closeup with the text right by Tracy's mouth. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:31, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
            • I meant, combine them into a picture by showing both parts by themselves? Basically just putting the chapter's number picture over the chapter's title picture. (Again failing to express myself correctly! Yay!)--Ikkian 23:34, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
              • Yeah, I still don't understand. So you want to put the wide shot of the heat lamps over the closeup of Tracy's breath? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:36, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
                • Like over (as in up/down), but not over (as in merged into one). Makes sense now?--Ikkian 00:03, 24 March 2009 (EDT)
                  • No. I still don't know how a closeup image and a wide shot image would look good together, one on the top, and one on the bottom. Wouldn't it be much easier to just choose one of the two images and stick with it? I think it's fine to use the "Chapter Seven" on the heat lamps as the title card (650x365) and the cold breath as the lead image (300x169). -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:29, 24 March 2009 (EDT)
                  • I think what Ikkian means is to juxtapose the two shots on top of one another, either in one individual image or on the article itself. -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 00:31, 24 March 2009 (EDT)
                    • I like where he's going with the idea, that we need to use both images that have the chapter number ant the titles (the wide shot of the heat lamps and the close shot of the Tracy). We need to use both images to show that the title was split between two cards. I'd say put the two images side by side in the usual place Ep title cards (like I did on Volume Two). --SacValleyDweller (talk) 09:33, 24 March 2009 (EDT)
                    • /vote for the garage scene as the cover, and "cold snap" as the title. Dean 01:49, 24 March 2009 (EDT)
                    • I second (third?) the garage scene as cover pic. It kicked all kinds of ass! Use "Cold Snap" since it's the title of the episode. "Chapter Seven" is pretty self-explanatory, no? Lile1293
                      • Before reading this, I was playing around with the title pic, to get both the chapter and the title in the same frame...see what yall think. I think it works well, in the alotted space. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 03/24/2009 11:15 (EST)

New actors and characters

We need to name the agents. We also need to rename the Manhattan agent and Daphne's escort agent, who both appeared in this episode as those characters, but those names don't fit... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:35, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

SUPERB.

One of the best episodes EVER, if not the best. Nothing in this episode is annoying or boring, just plain comedy, drama, action, plot-developing and even sadness. This is really the 1st time I enjoy Hiro and Ando scenes since Season 1. The way Daphne died was EXTREMELY sad. Peter flying Angela to safety was fantastic, especially the scene at the Statue of Liberty. BRYAN FULLER NEVER EVER LEAVE HEROES AGAIN!! --JLYK 18:05, 24 March 2009 (EST)

  • BRIAN FULLER IS A F**KING GENIUS! BEST VOLUME EVER!--Altes 08:21, 24 March 2009 (EDT)

Episode Image

I uploaded the scene with Danko and Tracy File:Tracy Danko.png but I can't figure out how to put it in the correct category.

The cover should be of Tracy just starting to use her power, where the camera is just starting to zoom out from her face. Dean 10:27, 24 March 2009 (EDT)

Amazing!

This is one of the best episodes of the season! I love it! Tracy could be dead? her power is really cool! But I think she could do what Sylar did, when he fought with Peter on the future, does anybody remember? and the Peter scene was pretty cool! it was like Nelson saying: HaHa!--Themd 09:08, 24 March 2009 (EDT)

  • The writers say Tracy will be back, so... --Altes 12:03, 24 March 2009 (EDT)
