That rhymed nice, eh? -- Altes 15:45, 11 July 2009 (EDT)

Edgar

Please note that Edgar did not appear in this episode. What you saw was a commercial for Slow Burn. Further, Ray Park was not credited for the episode...because Edgar did not appear. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:01, 28 September 2009 (EDT)

  • So Lydia with the phone wasn't a part of the episode either? ~~IHHTalk 22:03, 28 September 2009 (EDT)
    • Correct. That was a commercial, a teaser for the new webisode about Lydia's daughter. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:51, 28 September 2009 (EDT)

Glory

I'm assuming Glory is the woman they showed at the hospital, who looks like Peter's boss. Where does the name "Glory" come from? According to IMDb, a woman named Emily Adams played "Andrea". I don't remember the actress or the name Andrea. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:10, 28 September 2009 (EDT)

  • I think the name was misheard when Hesam said "glory hounding". --Radicell 05:28, 16 October 2009 (EDT)
    • Same here, he said glory hunting or glory houding  WaterRatj (17/10/2009 @ 08:41)
      • Wow, that would give a whole new meaning to the character of "Glory", wouldn't it?! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:26, 16 October 2009 (EDT)

Fire-Breather

Anyone else think they guy breathing fire was Chris? --Skullman1392 00:10, 29 September 2009 (EDT)

  • Yes, quite possibly. But until we have more of a firm connection to make, we'll have to call him "carnie" (or something similar) since that's how he was credited. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:22, 29 September 2009 (EDT)

Daryl Crittenden is a professional firebreather. As per his webpage: http://www.darylcrittenden.com/pix.htm. He is credited in Orientation/Jump Push Fall, and he can be seen in the background in all three of the first three episodes of Season 4. I'm not sure how one would go about merging the Chris page with the existing Carnie page (which I just created), but presumably they are the same character. I'll leave it in the hands of more competent people than me. :) --CourtesyofTVRage.com 23:50, 29 September 2009 (EDT)

  • They are presumably the same character, but that's not confirmed yet. We can merge the two pages after it's confirmed. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:02, 30 September 2009 (EDT)

I noted elsewhere, but the proper term for a single carnie is "Carny". There is no such word as "Carnie" in American dictionaries. The closest is more than one Carny, which is "Carnies." And Crittenden's character on-screen is named Carny #1. Presumably the character name here should be changed to "Carny" (by here I mean on the Appearance lists on this page--the name has been changed on the character page. Will do myself.) --CourtesyofTVRage.com 11:17, 30 September 2009 (EDT)

William Hooper's Courier

I wasn't able to tape, so is this how the actor was credited at the end? As shown on screen, he's a process server, delivering legal papers. It's a common profession, and they are usually contracted by a large number of persons. Presumably they're good at their job of coming up to people anonymously, confirming who they are, and then handing them the papers or whatever while saying "You've been served." I just didn't get the impression he worked directly for Hooper/Samuel. Most likely the legal firm that Samuel (somehow) employed to file the case. Also, the existing character name seems rather awkward. Particularly as it's referring to another character's alias. --CourtesyofTVRage.com 04:38, 29 September 2009 (EDT)

  • He was credited as "tracksuit", which really is not a character name I'm fond of. I'm admittedly not very familiar with how courier or process servers work, so if the name needs to be changed, that's cool with me. But tracksuit should redirect to whatever name is chosen. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:59, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
    • My recommendation would be "Process Server". --CourtesyofTVRage.com 11:49, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
      • I agree. (Admin 12:45, 29 September 2009 (EDT))

I've completed his page. --CourtesyofTVRage.com 23:52, 29 September 2009 (EDT)

Character Names

Is there some reason they're not giving names to characters this year? Louise Fletcher and Rick Worthy are relatively high-profile actors, and yet their names go unmentioned on-screen week after week. --CourtesyofTVRage.com 04:38, 29 September 2009 (EDT)

Chapter TWO - Ink

Alright people, it's official, Jump, Push, Fall wasn't Chapter Two, it was just part 2 of Chapter One. I think that the articles Orientation and Jump, Push, Fall should be merged, as they together were the first episode. Additionally, I think it's kinda odd seeing how Ink started out as Chapter 4, then was switched to Chapter 3 and now is labeled by the show as Chapter 2.

On two side notes, what happened to Mohinder? They could've at least told us what happened if they killed him off. And why did the preview for Ink include a lot of scenes that didn't appear in Ink? --Smouvy 11:14, 29 September 2009 (GMT)

  • It wasn't a preview just for Ink. It was a preview for the rest of the Season..and Mohinder didn't get killed. He will be back! I also agree about the merging --Iheartheroes
    • NBC.com still lists "Episode 401: Orientation"; "Episode 402: Jump, Push, Fall"; "Episode 403: Ink". So now we have to differentiate between Seasons, Volumes, Episodes, and Chapters... sigh. --Radicell 07:30, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
      • So if that is the case..."Jump, Push, Fall" is Episode 2 Chapter 1. "Ink" is Episode 3 Chapter 2. Can't get anymore complicated. --JLYK
      • NBC.com has gotten quite a few things wrong in the past, though. In addition, I feel like the episodes themselves should take precedence over the network's publicity (particularly with something as explicit as "Chapter Two: Ink", as well as the fact that "Jump, Push, Fall" did not appear within the premiere episode at all). --Ricard Desi (t,c) 13:14, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
        • Does "Jump Push Fall" as a name even exist within the episodes at all? Maybe in the credits? Otherwise, it seems it and Orientation should be merged. --Action Figure 14:39, 30 September 2009 (EDT)
          • I'm inclined to agree. We have a "title" for Jump, Push, Fall, but this was never shown on-screen AND there was no press release for the episode alone. -- Tristan0709 talk 20:47, 30 September 2009 (EDT)

Could someone put this in the trivia section?

The cello man was playing the song that is in the sprint commercials. I'm not really sure how to word it better or put it in the trivia section.Gamerelite1 06:41, 29 September 2009 (EDT)

  • I'll take care of it. Thanks, that's good trivia! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 09:02, 29 September 2009 (EDT)

The Main Episode Image

I'm thinking we should do something more indicative of the title. I know the image with the chapter spelled out is already on a bottle of ink and it will probably look stupid having two different images of ink bottles on the episode's page, but perhaps there is something else we can do? Can we use a shot of Samuel moving the ink around out of the jar, or perhaps a shot of Peter's new tattoo? The tattoo shot would be pretty cool, as it refers to the title and shows some interesting, non-spoiler plot development. --Piemanmoo 13:23, 29 September 2009 (EDT)

  • I like the image, but I agree that there are better choices. I don't want more ink in a jar, though. That would be way too redundant. Let me see what I can work on. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:55, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
    • Okay, check it out now. Let me know what you think. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:16, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
      • Eh, I don't really like it that much...~~IHHTalk 18:53, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
        • Me either, it doesn't look Main Image worthy... --Skullman1392 22:42, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
          • It would help if you gave suggestions for new images rather than just saying that you don't like what we have. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:54, 30 September 2009 (EDT)
            • How about a pic pf the ink all in Samuel's hand and his hand looks black before he conceals it? --Skullman1392 22:41, 30 September 2009 (EDT)
              • It should really be a different scene than the one in which the episode title is shown. I'll see what I can work on. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:13, 1 October 2009 (EDT)
                • Okay, I changed it. Let me know what y'all think. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:55, 1 October 2009 (EDT)
                  • Oh, I like it, I was gunna sugest this, but I didn't think the camera ever got close enough to his finger. Good choice :D --Skullman1392 22:28, 1 October 2009 (EDT)

Joseph's Power

Between Edgar's comment that he met "another" empath, and Samuel's comment before going to see Peter that he had found "someone to replace Joseph", would a mildly safe conclusion at this point be that Joseph had Empathy in some form? --NovaX81 14:20, 29 September 2009 (EDT)

  • I'd say that it's the most likely conclusion. Gamerelite1 16:51, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
    • Thats what I thought he was implying. --Fr0z3nB0nes 17:39, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
      • I completely agree that that's the implication...but I'd like to have some more concrete proof of it before we list Joseph as having an ability. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:53, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
  • While I'd tend to agree he was an empath, wouldn't it be a little odd that given the norm seems to be for family members having similar "natural" (as opposed to Nathan), the brothers would have such diverse abilities? If anything, it's Lydia and Joseph that have somewhat similar "empath" abilities. --CourtesyofTVRage.com 00:12, 30 September 2009 (EDT)
    • That is not essentially true about family having similar powers. Although Peter and his dad had similar powers, Nathan had no natural powers (as you stated). Another example is the Haitian and Baron Samedi do not share a similar power. So although we see similar powers between some family members, we also see the opposite so I don't think there is any clear trend.
    • Seems more than a coincidence that Joseph may be an empath, AND from Great Britain... and Claude had met an empath or two before... --Action Figure 14:40, 30 September 2009 (EDT)
      • Mistake! Baron Samedi and the Haitian are half-brothers so they aren't technically full-blood related! ~~IHHTalk 16:27, 1 October 2009 (EDT)
        • Very true, thank you for the correction. But still, half brothers share a parent and therefore share some of the same bloodline from a similar parent. Basically, it comes down to we have no concrete proof that siblings, full or half, share similar abilities.

Samuel shows his colours!

Well, at least now I understand why hes supposed to be a villain, "Sinkhole" lol!

He didn't really feel like a villain or bad guy or whatever in chapter one (is that what we're calling the double episode?), especially with the whole "I don't like that word, you can't replace family". --Fr0z3nB0nes 17:41, 29 September 2009 (EDT)

  • well it doesn't look like he has a concrete set of morals. I think he pretty much grew up at the carnival.
      • Samuel's always felt rather sinister to me. He's charming up until a point when you make him angry, then he'll sink your house and kill you all. His niceness to other people is probably a mix of familial affection to the other carnies, and faking it around people like Peter.Swm 18:12, 4 October 2009 (EDT)
        • I think his affection towards peter is real. He met peter and liked who he was because peter reminded him of joseph. It just seems that he also has that dark side.

number of main characters

The article notes that only 5 main characters appeared, although there were 6: Peter, Claire, Samuel, Noah, Sylar and Matt. Obi-Dan Kenobi 01:13, 30 September 2009 (EDT)

  • Samuel is not listed as a main character yet. ~~IHHTalk 07:09, 30 September 2009 (EDT)

Introduction of Emma is Tedious

The lines in which goes. "A woman, Emma, wakes up in the morning thanks to her vibrational alarm clock and prepares for work. She puts a hearing aid in and prepares to leave. However, she hears water dripping on a spoon across the room and goes over and smiles. She turns off the water." does this need to be in here, this is a normal routine. 50000JH

  • The episode summary is supposed to be a detailed account of what happens in the episode. So if she goes through her normal routine, I personally think we should include it in the summary. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:05, 30 September 2009 (EDT)

I'd agree it's kind of tedious. But I think that's sort of the point of introducing a "normal" character that has a super ability, but isn't necessary part of the whole super fighting/villain/conspiracy community. Show her everyday routine. Besides, the writers and directors made us sit though it, tedious as it may be. :) The only thing is that her cat should be mentioned, given that it has its own page here. Will add brief reference. --CourtesyofTVRage.com 11:15, 30 September 2009 (EDT)

Matt & Sylar

So sylar can use matt's own ability on him. And how did matt hear the drug dealer thinking about the girl? That's really what confused me, did sylar make matt think he heard that? And should it be noted that sylar has used this ability? --mc_hammark 12:53, 30 September 2009 (EDT)

  • I wouldn't list Sylar as having it. Sylar's body doesn't have the ability, it's only the part of Sylar's psyque that latched on to Matt that turned his power against him. Kinda like when Peter got stuck inside Jesse Murphy, he used sound manipulation, even though he never had it. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 13:04, 30 September 2009 (EDT)

This is Episode 402

According to nbc.com: http://www.nbc.com/heroes/video/episodes/?apl=true#apl=true/ Episode 401 is Orientation/Jump, Push, Fall, and Episode 402 is Ink. They don't call it "chapter", so I guess it should be changed here as well, not only chapter numbers, but also Episode numbers and "Orientation" should be splitted with "Jump, Push, Fall" into one.

  • Maybe it's a mistake? Other sources list Orientation and Jump, Push, Fall as two episodes (and one chapter). Green.gif AltesUTC CH
    • Actually, if NBC is now calling this 402, then that's a good thing. Previously, NBC was calling this chapter three (see here), and that was really the only thing keeping us from calling this chapter two. Even onscreen, Ink was called chapter two. I'll take care up necessary updates. This is a big one, so I'm sure I'll miss some... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 09:00, 3 October 2009 (EDT)

Mohinder?

But where Mohinder is over? Even the "previously on Heroes" had peter! TanderixUTCR 18:20 (Italy), 5 October 2009 (EDT)

  • The "Previously on Heroes" was Peter only because Mohinder has yet to be introduced (for this season). Or else it would be Mohinder. It possibly could be Peter because in Season One, there were alot of different cast members who did it. 16:16, 5 October 2009 (EDT)

Siren

Wondering now since we know more in the new episodes. Was she thinking about peter? Cause, he heared it from a distance. I know alo of people looked at her but well yeah ... -- (WaterRatj) 11:12, 16 January 2010 (EST)

  • Considering she was thinking about her ability, I'd say she'd attract evolved humans in the area, ie Peter. All the others could be evolved too, though I doubt it, I think they just appreciated her amazing talent. Though I'm surprised Samuel never noticed her when he walked by her. --mc_hammark 11:15, 16 January 2010 (EST)
