Story

New York Backstreets - 17:35

“You, STOP!” – Carlos

“Carlos, go around the back and cut him off. I’ll stay on his tail.” – Charles

“Got it.” – Carlos

Carlos headed up a back street as Charles continued to pursue the suspect. Charles and Carlos cornered the suspect in a back alley.

“It’s over, nowhere to run.” – Charles

“If you know what’s good for you, you’ll leave me alone.” – Jack

“Now jack, we’re not here to hurt you. I know what you’re thinking, it’s not worth it.” – Charles

“We’ll see.” – Jack

Jack grasped his hands into fists and started to concentrate. The ground began to shake as tremors began to move outwards from beneath his feet.

“You had your chance.” – Charles

Charles placed his hands either side of his head and closed his eyes. The ground suddenly stopped shaking, and Jack fell to his knees with blood dripping from his nose.

“How…….how did you do that.” – Jack

“You’re not the only special person around.” – Carlos

He raised his fist and slammed it across Jack’s face. He fell to the ground unconscious. Carlos took a step back and sat down on top of a trash-can.

“Another one for Level 5.” – Carlos

“Why do they always do it, they put up a fight, right to the end. Do we not give enough of a warning?” – Charles

“We give them fair warning, if they choose not to listen then it’s their own fault.” – Carlos

“Come on; let’s get him to Level 5.” – Charles

“Good idea, we need to be quick though, the group is assembling for an emergency meeting later, and we can’t be late.” - Carlos

215 Reed Street, New York - 19:55

The founders were all seated around the table in the apartment. Everyone was present apart from Daniel who, for some reason, could not be located. Angela had just finished talking, she sat down and the room fell silent. Charles raised his head and took a look at everyone else at the table.

“So this is it.” – Charles

“Yep, this is it.” – Arthur

“Don’t act like we’ll never see each other again.” – Harry

“We’ll see each other in the years to come.” – Susan

“Exactly” – Harry

“It does seem a little sudden guy’s.” – Bobby

“If we want to protect the future, we have to start with the now.” – Arthur

“True.” - Carlos

“We’ll need to discuss the finer details before we all go our separate ways.” – Charles

“I agree.” - Kaito

“Let’s get down to business then.” - Arthur
