Monica is ready for work at the burger shop. She argues with Damon about watching a show on pay per view. She then sees a person on the television cutting a tomato to form a rose. Later she talks to her friend at the burger shop about wanting to be a manager. Her friend tells her that she always has high expectations but always gets disappointed. Monica says that it isn't fair that one storm (presumely Hurricane Katrina) kills her mom, and her education and her dreams. Monica disregards her friends comments and finishes cutting a tomato into a rose which replicates that of the tomato she saw on the television. Her boss tells her that she did not get the manager position because she would have to move around the state and her family life effects that. Disappointed, her boss reassures her telling her that many people wish they had a job.

Later Monica, goes home with food and sees that Micah used his technopathy, unbeknowest to her, to get Damon watching the wrestling match. One of the wrestlers does a swing dropkick and Monica replays the shot in her mind while her mind memorizes it. Later that night when Monica closes the shop a person tries to get in because he is hungry. Even though Monica dismisses him he holds up a gun to her and tells her to sit down. IT doesn't take long before Monica gets up and does the same wrestling move that the wrestler did on television making the robber fly through the glass splitting the tables and run. Monica is shocked by her ability, along with her boss who witnessed it.

So far, Monica has been able to replicate any physical motion that her eye has witnessed. She is also able to replicate motions without actually concentrating intentively because she cut a tomato into a rose (like on television) while talking to her friend about other matters. Her powers also seem to enhance her bravery because when the robber came in, it scared Monica extremely. But after a few seconds she got up and replicated a wrestling move that scared the robber away. When watching a move preformed, she goes into a short "trance" like state, that is probably her mind recording the motion in her head. Notably so far, both acts that Monica replicated were acts that she first witnessed on television. It remains to be seen if televisions have any effect on her power.
* On the prisoner manifest list, Monica's last name is misspelled "Dawsom".
* Though she only appears in Season Two, Monica (along with Nana) technically does appear in Season Three in A Clear and Present Danger as one of the hooded prisoners. Though she'd be portrayed by an extra.
* Monica's capture by Building 26 was a major part of Micah's motivation for forming Rebel along with the captures of Damon and Nana. While Damon and Nana were held captive at Building 26 and were freed by Rebel, Monica's location remained a mystery and they had to resort to recruiting Molly Walker to find her. Thanks to Molly, Micah and his friends found and rescued her as a Building 26 doctor was about to experiment on her for an unknown reason.
