I noticed that on an earlier talk page someone mentioned that this season is mirroring things that already happened...just thought I'd point out Sylar in this episode and Peter in season 2, both of which had:
amnesia
quickly greeted by a young woman
discovered they had abilities by tossing someone across a room, spitting bullets from their abdomen, and using electric manip.
....does anyone else see this...creepy huh?--Anthony Gooch 21:19, 12 October 2009 (EDT)
One little thing reminded me of the past; Sylar's hair being reminiscent of Peter's from season 1.--Halfxwitted 22:06, 12 October 2009 (EDT)
Whoa! Nice catch! I think you're right about that! But I don't think his hair was like Peter's. Peter had that long emo hair strand. Sylar's hair looked more like Gabriel Gray's; combed back and clean. It's just symbolizing that he's a 'good guy' at the moment.--Kooliki 23:49, 12 October 2009 (EDT)
Did I hear Dr. Collidge say that Emma is her daughter?...I heard that, right?--Anthony Gooch 21:27, 12 October 2009 (EDT)

Carnival Scene at the begining
I think Sabine Hazel could have been the woman with the baby there.--WarGrowlmon18 21:49, 12 October 2009 (EDT)
Except for that the lady with the baby looked to be pretty young, I would totally agree.--Gibbeynator 21:51, 12 October 2009 (EDT)
The other thing in that scene was the woman making the breakfast, what was her power? Induced Radioactivity? Do I hear the future coming on, Gabriel? --mc_hammark 05:12, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
I highly doubt it, after all, would anyone willingly eat pancakes cooked by nuclear reaction?--Gibbeynator 07:25, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
... Or rather than trying to shoe horn her power into one that we've already seen, we can take the usual approach and say what we know, which is that she is capable of heating things. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:01, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
maybe... she's [1] idk, just what it reminded me of.--Jas3point14 18:40, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
Lead image
Considering that hysterical blindness is really a conversion disorder where people are seeing things (or not seeing things), I think Claire's storyline would be a good one to use as the lead image. A few choices: when Gretchen kisses her, when she looks out the window with Becky standing right there, or when Becky purposely knocks over the books and Claire is in the background. Any thoughts? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:03, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
Of those three, I say the 2nd of those. However, think any of those would be a little too spoilery (meaning the the image gives too much away about the ep). I cant think of the ep off the top of my head, but I think the initial ep lead image on an ep in a season prior was promptly changed due to it being too spoilery. --SacValleyDweller(talk) 00:24, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
Good point. Another direction to go would be Peter seeing the colors. Perhaps Emma and Peter playing the piano together? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:42, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
Or how about Sylar being found in the woods by Captain Lubbock while disoriented? I vote for either Claire's shocked face or some shot of a confused Sylar. Those were the key scenes of the episode. "Hysterical" first makes me think of Sylar's confused identity. Another option would be Emma not seeing the truck coming at her. NileQT87 04:56, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
I believe this can be considered. And this one as well. --Radicell 06:29, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
How about an image of the police being unable to see Sylar or the carnival? Just the police looking shocked in that direction doesn't seem that spoilery. --Kh93 10:48, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
In the interest of sparking a friendly debate, why did Sylar (as Nathan) revert to his original form after being "killed" (shot to the chest) and burried; yet the original shape-shifter, James Martin, kept the form of Sylar when he was killed?
My only explanation is it boils down to Sylar's powers instinctively restarting/taking over, but I don't know why that would force him to change his form. It seems kinda deus ex machina to me.--Halfxwitted 01:05, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
I think the difference is that Sylar can regenerate. James Martin couldn't. My bigger question is why did Peter absorb Emma's ability without "trying to", but he didn't absorb Samuel's when he touched Samuel. Hmm... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:08, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
"Empathy" is the best reason I can think of - he cared more about Emma, or at least what was happening to her. Of course, he didn't absorb Nathan/Sylar's ability when they hugged last episode, either. --Mikebdoss 03:38, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
Heh, it would be cool if Peter will retain Emma's ability forever, as he has absorbed it through empathy... =) AltesUTCCH
Interesting aspect of Peter's power there. He clearly lost super speed, so the question is whether he absorbed Emma's ability by accident (nobody has perfect control over their ability, after all), or whether he can empathically copy an ability after some work, like Sylar can. As for why it hasn't happened before, it's obviously a new development, so it probably just evolved between his last physical contact with an evolved human and when he helped Emma. We'll know whether this is the start of him getting multiple powers again once he tries to drop Emma's ability for something else. As for Sylar, one's DNA stays the same even while shifted into another form, so I'd wager whenever he regenerates he regenerates into his actual body, not Nathan's. Swm 05:10, 13

The Carnival Can Teleport Away?
I noticed that at the end of this episode, Sylar ran into the carnival and then when the police followed him it was gone. Does that mean there is an illusion over it that renders the carnival un-seen or it was teleported away by Arnold.. Or did the police just go a different way then Sylar, and the writers are trying to trick us?
I'm thinking that it was either Samuel doing a Sparrow Redhouse by moving the land away or someone at the carnival has Candice Willmer's power of illusion-making. The carnival is still there, but can't be seen by people that the illusionist is affecting. This would make sense, seeing as though it gave the illusion of being exactly in the same place (though Sylar's eyesight seemed blurred/overwhelmed), but the Baltimore Police Department was blind to it. NileQT87 05:00, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
Definetly Illusion or Terrakinesis for that one. I wouldn't be surprised if Samuel could raise a wall of earth or something to block their route, but Illusion's probably more likely. I doubt it's the Carnivel itself.Swm 05:06, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
or the old guy teleports it around for them--Gibbeynator 06:26, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
What I was thinking was that Becky hid it, or it can only be seen by Evolved humans...~~IHH—Talk 06:59, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
Well we know that it can be seen by normal humans, like Dee in Istory Slow burn part 2. --mc_hammark 07:02, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
Rebecca was back at the college when the carnival moved. Arnold, being sick and old, is highly unlikely to be able to move such a large collection of objects and people. I don't exactly know what the police saw, but we know the carnival has an Illusionist in their ranks from the iStory, so that seems the most likely outcome. Swm 10:29, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
Chop it up to my active imagination, once again, but from the very introduction of Madeline Gibson, I got a strange vibe from her. Strange enough to have powers and work undercover for Samuel. I wouldn't rule out that she had a power similar to creating illusions.--Halfxwitted 15:09, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
I'll be surprised if she doesn't. The other doctor "retiring" is too convenient. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 15:33, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
Seriously people, they have a carnival/family of people with abilities, many of which we haven't seen used yet. Carnival should have some "master of illusion" or something that Samuel could ask to help him pick up Sylar. (sorry, forgot to sign)--Jas3point14 18:51, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
They do. His name is Callum.--Ratclaws 18:52, 13 October 2009 (EDT)

anyone see the symbol on peter's doorway at around 10:30 into it, when angela is in the apartment? --mc_hammark 05:10, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
So which power was it that allowed Sylar to do this? --Radicell 07:25, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
I'd say telekinesis, since he's used that to turn lights on and off before. --mc_hammark 07:26, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
I thought that was just an emergency mesure taken by the police station when the alarm went off. Besides, Sylar has still no control over his abilities, he still doesn't know what they are. --Ikkian 09:14, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
Seems very counter-productive for all the lights to turn off in the dark police station as a security measure. Why create an atmosphere where a threat can easily hide or attack from the shadows?--Halfxwitted 15:15, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
Awesome episode!
Wow. That was a really good episode, and Tracy wasnt even in it!
Also, the trivia bit says Greg Grunberg was credited for saying the 'previously', but i did not see a credit. I changed it slightly...if anyone can repute that he was credited then fine, i may have missed it but i could have sworn Masi Oka was the first to be credited. OMG that were the first words i thought about when i finished watching this episode. WOW WOW WOW definately the best episode of this season. I'm a big Peter fan but i even liked that he lost his speed powers :) Good job Heroes Crew!! --Futurepeter ( U - T - C) 16:02, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
I really liked the scene where the kids were singing a song at the hospital. Peter sees the colour, and then sees Emma seeing the colours. There was no conversation but you can tell what they were exchanging and thinking. Wonderful. --JLYK
The Toaster Woman
What are we doing with her power? Heating? Induced Radioactivity? Microwave Emission? Or are we just gonna call it Camise's ability, the ability to have one's hand shine brightly and cook waffles? Josh KorolenkoUTChronicles
I would say "heating", because all we know thus far is that it can heat up things she touches. --Silurian King 10:23, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
Perhaps she has an ability similar to Matt Parkman Jr. in the fact that she can make objects work without being plugged in?--Halfxwitted 15:11, 13 October 2009 (EDT)

The Toaster Woman's Name
The closed captioning spells the name "Comey", and Samuel refers to her as such. It sounds like "Comise" because he's saying "Mrs. Comey's waffles." "Comey's" = "Comise", soundalike-wise. I've edited the character appearances accordingly for now. --CourtesyofTVRage.com 10:50, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
"Comey" makes more sense. We don't typically use the closed captioning as a source for our names...but they can give us a good clue. And to me, I agree, it sounded more like "Comey". -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:04, 13 October 2009 (EDT)

Sylar has reverted to his real shape, so... Nathan is gone for good? AltesUTCCH

Or Emer, which is a real name. --mc_hammark 17:16, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
I can see Emer being short for Emmerson, but I'm having a hard time picturing someone named Emer. I still thing that Pemma shows more the merger of two names that is associated with ship names. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 17:18, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
