Hiro and Ando arrive in Los Angeles and go to an address provided by Rebel. They meet a babysitter who gives them a baby.
Cold Snap
Hiro and Ando try to take care of Matt Parkman, Jr., and discover his ability to turn things on and off. Janice arrives home, and talks with Hiro and Ando about Matt Jr.'s power. When some of Danko's men arrive to take Matt Jr., the baby uses his powers on Hiro, reactivating Hiro's ability to stop time. He then carries Ando and Matt twelve miles away from the home to a Greyhound bus stop.
Trivia
- When Hiro and Ando try to hide from Janice they look very similar to a scene from the movie E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial.
- According to Greg Beeman's blog, the set used for Janice's home is the same as the set used to film the Bennets' home in Costa Verde. He also added that Ruth Ammon and Bryan Fuller both strongly wanted the design of Janice's home to be a mid-century modern design.
- Janice's home is located at 63 Varna Avenue in Los Angeles, CA (Shades of Gray). This is apparently twelve miles from a Greyhound bus station (Cold Snap).
