It's something that is going to strike a chord and be close to Peter, what this big obstacle in the road is...[because] it's a threat to everybody; it's a threat to everything. I'm not going to say it's four horsemen or one horseman, but there's gonna be a power that comes in that everybody has to kind of band together to make sure it doesn't run wild."
    • And from Hayden, "Something happens to [Claire] that's actually quite frightening to her, and it plays a big part in who she becomes in the future and what happens to her. I wish I could babble about it now because I have a lot to say about it, but I can't. But it's something, yes, that manifests further about her ability that weighs heavily on her emotionally, and mentally, as a person. • 7/1 -- Aron and Joe reveal several spoilers in CBR's Behind the Eclipse:
    • NEW! We just had an issue with an earthquake power we gave to new character. It turned out that to fully realize it, it would take too long to shoot and reset and do perfectly. So we adapted it slightly (you’ll see to what happens in episode 3)
    • Season Three will pick "up right from the moment Nathan is shot. Well, actually...a few moments before. Well, technically, four years in the future. But that’s only until... Suffice it to say, you will learn who shot Nathan Petrelli from the proverbial get go".
    • Isaac's "sketchbook will indeed [re-]appear (pay attention around episodes 9, 10 and 11 this season) - and we will also meet a new artist, soon enough. Whose style is somewhat familiar. And who has a very familiar subject."
    • Arthur Petrelli will appear in a flashback by Episode #8 of Season Three.
    • Aron and Joe also discuss the evolution of Peter's character: "We all know that “With great power comes great responsibility.” “But we also know that “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” So basically Peter will find himself torn between these two platitudes. It’s Lord Acton vs Stan Lee in a battle for the ages. So stay tuned."
    • And regarding Meredith Gordon's return, Aron and Joe write: "You want Meredith Gordon back? Really? What would we do with her? Bring her back so Claire can bond with her biological mom about having powers while she pushes her own mother aside - because of their biological difference? Where’s the drama there? (and in case you don’t get sarcasm, stay tuned)"

  • 6/30 -- Kristin of E! Online says about Ali Larter: Ali is definitely still a part of Heroes. Niki Sanders, not so much, but Ali will stick around and conjure up a whole new personality we haven't yet seen before Season Three: Tracy Strauss. (Something tells me she'll be hot, blond and look like that chick who once wore a whipped-cream bikini for Dawson Leery.) Also, Matt Parkman is going to end up in the desert with a horse with no name... and a tortoise. Believe it or not, I'm serious about the desert and the tortoise part. Matt's storyline is about to get über-trippy!
  • 6/30 -- Kristin of E! Online interviews Greg Grunberg, Dania Ramirez and new Heroes bad girl Brea Grant. Kristin asks for hints about their characters. • 6/23 -- TheBadandUgly.com has more set pictures of future Peter, including a shot of what looks like present and future Peter confronting each other (Peter squared?).
  • 6/22 -- JustJared.com confirms with set photos that future Peter (with the scar) and future Claire (with dark brown hair) will return in an early episode of Season Three. Some of the photos show future Claire holding and firing a gun, and in others future Peter dons what looks to be an arm-covering for shooting a phasing effect.
  • 6/20 -- Heroes Television has a photo of a mural that was painted for shooting of Season 3 in downtown Los Angeles. The mural is a representation of an exploding earth. The scene they are shooting will involve a car chase and “exterior semi-automatic gunfire.” They will also be shooting some exterior dialog scenes. No word on which cast members might be involved in the scenes, but it definitely sounds like some excitement is going down in the upcoming season.
  • 6/16 -- In a video segment of E! Online's Watch with Kristin Show, Kristin dishes that Sylar's heart may actually grow a few sizes in Season Three. She elaborates that he will "do some surprising good-guy stuff and will have a surprising connection to a good-guy character [we] already know."
  • 6/16 -- Kristin of E! Online claims "Claire is not the only character on the show who is adopted. And the next adoption twist is perhaps my favorite twist ever on this show. You know how sometimes those silly promo guys say things like 'It will change everything?' Well this one actually will."

  • 6/16 -- Newsarama tells us that William Katt, who played Ralph Hinkley on Greatest American Hero will be making an appearance on Heroes. "I just filmed it last week," Katt says of his Heroes appearance. "I play a really, really wonderful, seedy, smarmy-mouthed reporter that goes after Ali Larter. It was a lot of fun." Katt said he worked almost exclusively with Ali Larter. "She hogged me. She wanted me all to herself," he jokes. Katt teases in the article that "he has the power of persuasion," but the article claims the character doesn't have powers.
  • 6/16 -- An Oct '07 interview with Shalim Ortiz reveals that his character might return next season. "We’re in the talks. It’s not written in stone yet, but yeah, sure. I’m very good friends with the executive producers, so hopefully we’ll be able to figure something out." Seeing as this was before the strike, scripts could've been changed and Alejandro may remain dead.
  • 6/13 -- SpoilerTV has revealed a casting call for episodes 3.05 and 3.06:

Also, the Bennets and Petrellis are staying front and center, and they will continue to be at odds with each other. There will be some shocking alliances and the appearance of at least one long-lost relative.
  • 6/10 -- IMDb confirms the cast list for some Season 3 episodes.
  • 6/10 -- N'Tare Mwine has joined the cast as an Aboriginal story teller named Usutu. Usutu will appear in episodes 3 and 4. This will not be the first time he has worked with Heroes. N'Tare Mwine was originally to play the terrorist Joseph in the unaired pilot.
  • 6/10 -- Francis Capra has joined the cast as Jesse and his villainous character will cross paths with our beloved Peter Petrelli.

    • The first few scripts (episodes?) are “incredible”, villains are going to be more “dynamic”.
    • Season 3 will progress intrigues and answer questions quicker than Season 2.
    • Hiro inherited his father's company and is not happy about this.
    • Anyone can be a Villain, in each of us there is a Villain and a hero, it all depends on the party which manifests itself first. So you never know, but it would take something significant for Hiro to turn bad.
    • Niki will bring together some characters that we would not expect.
    • Adam and Niki (love interest?). Could Niki be his next bride?

Fan Theories

  • Nathan is seen in Season 3 because Peter will use either his blood or the ability to heal that he may have absorbed from Linderman to save him after being shot.
  • N'Tare Mwine's Aboriginal character will replace Mohinder as narrator for the episodes.
  • Niki will die in the explosion, but we will learn that the Company cloned her and implanted Jessica's personality in the clone's body.
    • Dr. Henry Strauss will be responsible for the cloning. The clone will have amnesia due to the Haitian, so he will give the clone the name Tracy and begin training her.
    • Dr. Strauss and Jessica will then have a romance until a darker personality, Jessica's, takes over and kills him.
    • Mohinder will experiment with the Company's personality implantation virus, which will mutate and become a body-switching virus. Thus, all the previews can be explained by Mohinder temporarily switching personalities with Mohinder the Lizard. One of the Constrictors then checks up on Mohinder and finds him attached to a wall like a lizard. The Constrictor, now knowingly exposed to the virus, allows it to spread throughout the Company's Hartsdale facility, wreaking havoc and allowing many of the Villains to escape. The Constrictor will then seek out and switch personalities with Peter Petrelli. Noah and Sylar will be forced to work with each other when they switch bodies, or when Sylar switches bodies with Bob.
  • If the company isn't going to be a major part of Season 3 ([1]) then "a powerful, mysterious organization" ([2]) must refer to a new 'group'
  • This season will feature Sparrow Redhouse.
  • Since Future Peter displayed Meredith's ability of pyrokinesis in a possible future, she will return this season.
  • Knox will have an ability similar to Bob's.
  • Knox will have enhanced speed.
  • Sylar will kidnap Elle as a way to get to Bob, the one who gave him the Shanti virus. He takes Bob's ability as revenge.
  • When Sylar does this, three outcomes may happen:
    • Elle escapes but Sylar finds her, resulting in her saying, "Oh crap."
    • Noah finds Elle and rescues her; Sylar finds them and Noah shoots Sylar.
    • After killing Bob and presuming Sylar has the ability of illusion, Sylar pretends to be Bob and tells Elle to do something as seen by him saying, "The clock is ticking."
  • Knox will have the ability to coat his body with a metallic substance, similar to the Silver Surfer or Colossus.
  • Most of the footage shown in the Volume Three trailers is the future that will happen if the main antagonist isn't stopped.
  • Angela and Sylar are going to end up working together.
  • Robert Malden will be played by Richard Schiff.
  • Robert Malden will be played by Bruce Boxleitner.
  • Jesse will have induced radioactivity.
  • Jesse is the character in this preview seen shooting blue fire.
  • Angela's third child is Hiro.
  • Angela's third child is Sylar.
  • Angela's third child is Matt.
  • Sylar will kill Claire in the first few episodes.
  • Sylar will learn he was adopted and is biologically related to Claire.
  • Eric Doyle's ability will be mind control.
  • Sylar and Noah's storyline will center on their efforts to bring down the Company.
  • Maya and Mohinder will be romanticaly involved
  • Future Peter shot Nathan to stop him from revealing the secret, but when he goes back to the future, Future Claire will shoot him.
  • Pinehearst Research is involved with the "powerful, mysterious organization" mentioned here similarly to how Primatech is a front for the Company.
  • Primatech Research will be renamed to Pinehearst Research due to the national exposure Nathan's press conference gives the Primatech Paper Company.
  • The crater in The Kill Squad, Part 3 is caused by the evolved human with earthquake-like powers mentioned here.
  • Angela can see the future through dreams.

Once there, he'll follow the path of a desert tortoise to find water and will run into Usutu.
