Examples of mental manipulation

Mental manipulation is the ability to manipulate others' minds, causing them to lose memories or preventing them from using special powers. A full list of the power in action follows.

In a bar, the Haitian blocks most of Matt's telepathy. (One Giant Leap) In a Company medical facility, Matt is unable to read Mr. Bennet's or the Haitian's thoughts... ...and the Haitian goes deep and cleans out Matt's memory. (Collision) The Haitian erases Brody Mitchum's memory. (Hiros) At FBI headquarters, Ted explains to Matt that he lost a part of his memory. (Seven Minutes to Midnight) Sylar is unable to use his powers, and the Haitian finishes him off. (Homecoming) The Haitian is able to entirely block the effect of Eden's power of persuasion. (Six Months Ago) At the Odessa Police Department, the Haitian elusively blocks Matt's telepathic power. (Fallout) The Haitian tells Claire that he erased parts of Zach's and Lyle's memories. He also mentions that he has erased Sandra's memories "so many times". (Fallout) After delivering news of Eden's death to Eden's deadbeat father, Mr. Bennet tells the Haitian, "Don't erase everything. Leave the guilt." (Fathers & Daughters) At Primatech Paper Co., the Haitian completely prevents Matt from being able to listen in on Mr. Bennet's thoughts. Season Three

(I Am Become Death) In the future, the Haitian blocks both Peters' powers in the alleyway... ...and in the Pinehearst holding room.
