Rapid cell regeneration is the ability to regenerate cells, thereby healing at an increased rate. A full list of examples of the power in action follows.

Season One Examples

  • Claire and Zach record a videotape of herself being seriously injured, and recovering from the injuries every time. (Genesis)
  • Claire mentions that she has stabbed herself in the chest and shoved a steel rod through her neck. (Genesis)
  • Claire casually replaces her exposed ribs, and the wound heals instantly. (Genesis)
  • Claire runs into a burning train wreck, and returns unscathed. (Genesis)
  • Claire has her hand caught and mangled in a garbage disposal, only for it to heal completely within a few moments. (Genesis)
  • Claire is accidentally tackled by a football player, snapping her neck. (Don't Look Back)
  • Claire awakens on the autopsy table after a tree branch was removed from her brain, effectively having regenerated back to life. (One Giant Leap)
  • Claire survives a head-on collision that hospitalizes Brody Mitchum. She walks away without any lasting injuries. (Collision, Hiros)
  • According to the graphic novel, Claire also survives a car explosion, and pulls large shards of glass out of her leg. (Aftermath)

  • Peter heals the cut Sylar made in his forehead. Later, he heals after a piece of glass stuck in his head is removed. (.07%)

  • At CVHS, Claire holds her hand over a Bunsen burner. Later in the gym, she attempts a backflip, breaks her shinbone, and the injury heals itself instantly. (Four Months Later)
  • Claire reaches into a pot of boiling water to retrieve Sandra's wedding ring. She later cuts off her pinky toe and watches it regrow. (Lizards)
  • Peter's blood is cleaned off by Caitlin. She comments that he has no cuts whatsoever. (Lizards)
  • Takezo Kensei is shot three times by arrows, one landing in the heart. Hiro removes the arrow lodged in his heart, and the wound heals and Kensei becomes cognitive. (Lizards, Kindred)
