Greg Beeman is a television writer, director, and producer. He serves as an executive producer and director on Heroes. Beeman joined the crew as a co-executive producer immediately after the pilot episode. He was promoted to executive producer for the second season and reprised this role for the third season. He was asked to leave this position, and did not return for the fourth season of Heroes. Greg, a former storyboard artist, also wrote and illustrated a graphic novel for Heroes.
About
Before he began producing, he directed many TV episodes including ones from The Wonder Years and movies like Problem Child 3: Junior in Love.
His first show that he produced was Nash Bridges. After that, he went on to produce, write, and direct for several other popular TV shows, such as JAG and Smallville.
Notes
- Greg was once a storyboard artist. He often does a fast and rough sketch of a scene, then takes his conceptualization to Cesar Lemus who will redraw the storyboard with more definition. In fact, Greg illustrated (and wrote) the graphic novel Puppet with No Strings.
- Greg is the first person to write and illustrate a Heroes graphic novel.
- According to his blog, Greg loves "all things to do with the visual design of the show--so I spend a lot of my time with the production designer the directors of photography, and I enjoy overseeing the color timing of each episode."
