Amber is a young woman who went missing during the government operation to capture evolved humans.

The Civilian
In chapter 3 of The Civilian, Marc mentions that he is looking for his cousin Amber, who has gone missing.
In chapter 4 of The Civilian, Amber's cousins Mykah and Cole come to Lyneboro, CT to look for her. They tell Rachel that they believe she has gone with a biker gang but that she wants to come home with them. Rachel takes one of Cole's diamonds to show Amber and when she finally does find Amber at the local park, Amber recognises it. The two of them go to Mable's diner and find Mykah and Cole, who are overjoyed to be reunited with Amber. They ask how she managed to escape the government and Amber explains that she listened to her mother. Confused, Cole states that her mother has been dead for ten years.
