The Private
In chapter 1 of The Private, Ammar meets Rachel Mills as she is fleeing an attack on her outpost. Ammar follows Rachel in hopes of escaping the area. He tries to persuade her from trying to crack an encoded message that she found earlier, to no avail. After Rachel cracks the code, and removes the tracking device in her helmet that the code led her to discover, Ammar betrays Rachel and holds her at gunpoint, and turns her in to the Iraqi soldiers.
