Tim Kring Interview
The interview that Tim Kring just had said something about the first episode being called Brave New World.....is it BNW or Awakening? ~~IHH—Talk 17:27, 19 August 2015 (EDT)
- Awakening. BNW was an original title that was discarded. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:44, 19 August 2015 (EDT)
- This is confusing. Are we sure it was "originally" Brave New World? All the sources I've seen saying Brave New World are newer than the ones saying Awakening. - Josh (talk/contribs) 23:03, 16 September 2015 (EDT)
- Yes. August 13: BNW. Later, Awakening. September: back to BNW. That's how I read it, but I could be mistaken. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:19, 16 September 2015 (EDT)

TIFF
I'm fortunate enough to be attending the TIFF premiere on September 16! Will have to vigilantly keep myself from making any spoilerific edits in the week after that. :) --Radicell (talk) 10:41, 6 September 2015 (EDT)
- Lucky! How did you swing that? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:29, 6 September 2015 (EDT)
- Special favour from Masi, of course. :) --Radicell (talk) 22:48, 6 September 2015 (EDT)
- What? Do you know Masi Oka? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:49, 6 September 2015 (EDT)
- Hahaha, nah I kid. I just logged on to the TIFF website and bought tickets like any other Torontonian! --Radicell (talk) 22:51, 6 September 2015 (EDT)
- Cool. I didn't know you were from Toronto. Have a great time, enjoy TIFF, and enjoy the early screening! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:32, 6 September 2015 (EDT)

- An update on this -- it was absolutely sick! Tim Kring made an appearance afterwards and had a mini-Q&A session! --Radicell (talk) 22:17, 16 September 2015 (EDT)
Awakening is Heroes Reborn: Volume 1?
According to the TIFF website, Heroes Reborn has the same format as Heroes, in that it is split into "Volumes". It seems that Volume 1, "Awakening", refers to the first (and so far only) 13 episodes of Reborn. "Brave New World" is the title of the first episode of Volume 1: Awakening, with episode 2 being titled "Odessa". I've checked the official Heroes website to see if there's any information that disproves this claim and refers to the first episode as "Awakening", but apparently not. -Kon (talk) 13:24, 6 September 2015 (EDT)
- I guess we'll find out in a few weeks! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:48, 6 September 2015 (EDT)
- If true, this would make the Episode:Brave New World link a real thorn in our side. --Radicell (talk) 22:51, 6 September 2015 (EDT)
- From the latest releases it looks like it will be. What should we do? Episode:Brave New World (HR)? -Lөvөl 12:20, 10 September 2015 (EDT)
- Yeah, something along those lines. I was thinking Episode:Brave New World (Heroes Reborn)... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:46, 10 September 2015 (EDT)
- Would we keep the Season Four episode at Episode:Brave New World? Or move it to Episode:Brave New World (Season Four)? In terms of sitewide consistency I'd be in favour of a move, but in practical terms it's probably not necessary. --Radicell (talk) 22:34, 14 September 2015 (EDT)
- I would say, if it is moved, go with the name of the series: Episode:Brave New World (Heroes). -Lөvөl 10:58, 15 September 2015 (EDT)
- I agree. We should probably move the Heroes episode. However, there are about 400 links pointing to that episode, and I agree with Radicell that in terms of practicality, we can leave things like Episode:Brave New World and Brave New World redirecting to Episode:Brave New World (Heroes). Unless, of course, somebody else wants to go through and make those 400 or so changes. But it won't be me. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:07, 15 September 2015 (EDT)
- I could use my wikibot to do it, but I understand if you wouldn't want to give a relatively new member bot rights on an alt account. There's only one other bot that I can see registered on the wiki, which is User:AdminBot, but it looks like it hasn't been used in around seven years... on the offchance that it still exists, someone could just ask the admin to run a find-and-replace algorithm with the bot with the "Episode" namespace blacklisted because all the pages in that namespace have already been updated. -Kon (talk) 18:38, 15 September 2015 (EDT)
- That would be a question you can pose to User:Admin. He contols bots and user rights. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:57, 15 September 2015 (EDT)
- Does anyone else think we probably should have waited to move the Season Four Episode to the (Heroes) thing just in case it actually is Awakening or some other title? ~~IHH—Talk 18:45, 15 September 2015 (EDT)
- Nope. They have been very clear with the info. We use the info we have. If it is wrong, we can undo everything -- there is nothing on the wiki that can't be undone. I would rather undo changes than not have anything in place for the influx of users that we will see in 9 days. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:57, 15 September 2015 (EDT)
- Teething problems aside, I'm pleased to say that my bot has completed its job successfully! All direct links to "Episode:Brave New World" have been corrected. According to Special:WhatLinksHere, some links remain on talk pages via templates, but I think that will change once the cache updates itself. -Kon (talk) 04:46, 17 September 2015 (EDT)
- Great job with the bot! Don't worry about the talk pages... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:35, 26 September 2015 (EDT)

- It's very helpful, thanks. A lot of those links are going to have to change, though... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:00, 25 September 2015 (EDT)
- yeah - I know. I was just lazy ;) --PierreSwe (talk) 11:27, 25 September 2015 (EDT)
- Good work Pierre! It doesn't seem like any of El Vengador's assailants were credited? Or the border guard at the Canadian border? It only remains to figure out who Pelon is... --Radicell (talk) 15:57, 25 September 2015 (EDT)
- Thx. :) The assailants actors (just like the Yamagato guards) were probably hired as stunt performers, which are not always credited. And the boarder guard portrayer was probably an extra, which don't recieve credits unless they are given lines. --PierreSwe (talk) 16:31, 25 September 2015 (EDT)
- The links are now changed to match the appearance templates, which in addition have been expanded to include every credited role, except the voice acting ones and the yet to be identified Pelon. --PierreSwe (talk) 16:49, 25 September 2015 (EDT)
- Regarding Pelon, see below. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:03, 26 September 2015 (EDT)

Chicago fire
Just noticed something that's either a production error or a clue. When Tommy is informed about the Chicago fire, he is told that Coach Lewis was killed, "with six other people". Yet, in the actual scene, before Joanne and Luke torch the place, there are 8 bodies on the floor (incl. Lewis). So either one managed to escape, or the script is off (or, I guess, the Chicago Fire Dept. did a lousy job :)
Screenshot:
--PierreSwe (talk) 14:31, 25 September 2015 (EDT)
- Very interesting. I don't think the producers would make such a significant continuity error, to be honest; it's not hard at all to keep track of those bodies. I want to think that the invisible goateed man escaped, especially because he was prominently featured in Dark Matters and in the first half of this episode. If I recall correctly, he was only shot in the lower back and it doesn't seem like such a wound would be fatal. He could have turned himself invisible when Luke and Joanne weren't looking and escaped with them. I guess we'll find out! -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 14:35, 25 September 2015 (EDT)
- And now that I say that I'm probably gonna go make a theory about it. LOL! -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 14:35, 25 September 2015 (EDT)
- Or he just turned invisible as he was dying and they couldn't find the 8th body because he was invisible. ~~IHH—Talk 15:04, 25 September 2015 (EDT)
- Asuming it was done on purpose, my bet would also be Goatee - specifically since hae was also seen sneaking around the June 13 attack moments before the bomb went off, but managed to survive that one. that being said, it is probably for the best to have all eight character articles state "deceased" until further notice --PierreSwe (talk) 15:27, 25 September 2015 (EDT)
- I highly doubt it... I can't recall a single character whose power activated while they were dead, apart from perhaps Charles Deveaux, but the nature of his power and his posthumous scenes are very ambiguous. -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 15:29, 25 September 2015 (EDT)
- The book says several times that there were only 7 bodies in the fire. Hmmm.... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:17, 26 September 2015 (EDT)
- When you watch the fire starting, does it look like the pyro is being completely consumed in the process? Personally, that's how I justify the numbers. As if his entire body was the fuel that caused that blast leaving no remains behind unlike the others. That's just my opinion at this point. (Admin (talk) 12:00, 26 September 2015 (EDT))
- it does look like it consumes his body. Even mentions that the flames consume his blood like gasoline. but I don't think that accounts for the numbers because they were still able to identify Coach Lewis's body. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:46, 26 September 2015 (EDT)
- Maybe a new evo with healing power? We already saw a boy named Dan showing off his ability, so it could be someone at meeting with healing got shot, he/she just played dead till they left. And since we see that none of them got shot behing their head at that "special place" --Sekobro (talk) 06:24, 27 September 2015 (EDT)

BNW & Odessa
I'm getting a very Orientation / Jump, Push, Fall kind of feel from the premiere, given the lack of a second title card. I suppose we'll wait and see whether the next episode is "Chapter Two" or "Chapter Three" before deciding whether to make the corresponding adjustments (e.g., make the episode numbers 501a and 501b, merge the appearance templates, etc.)? --Radicell (talk) 15:59, 25 September 2015 (EDT)

Just so everybody is aware, I am in the process of uploading some screenshots. However, I have a hard time editing the shots from my iPad. They all need to be resized and then re-uploaded. Pelon
Pelon is the gangbanger who drives into Gutierrez and Sons in Oscar's first scene. He interrupts the fight that Oscar and Carlos are about to have. I don't know if you can see his face in the episode, but the scene continues a bit more in the book. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:01, 26 September 2015 (EDT)

- I can't figure out the actors who play Oscar's two male assailants are. John Ambrose and Boomer Phillips are both credited as playing thugs, but I don't think the characters and the actors look alike. Maybe that's just the bad lighting? Micah
His name appears on the list Noah sees in Level 5 of Primatech (71% contained). Only one I recognized offhand aside from Molly. --Stevehim (talk) 01:03, 28 September 2015 (EDT)
- yep, none of those are names we've seen before, except for Micah and Molly. (Any shippers out there?) here's a screenshot of the names in case anyone wants to check it again. File:Midian assets.jpg -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:52, 28 September 2015 (EDT)
Luke and Joanne
Probably gonna try and character arc them, but I have a hard time believing they'll have enough time to make us (or me anyway) forgive them for their mass murder sprees, regardless of their son's death angle. They managed it with Noah, and eventually Sylar, but over more eps, and a lot of Noah's kills were offscreen. I consider them villains, and so should we right now, imo. --Stevehim (talk) 01:09, 28 September 2015 (EDT)
- Judging by the direction we have seen in the first two episodes, I don't think we are ever meant to forgive Joanne. I have a feeling Luke will be a much more sympathetic character if and when he separates himself (either physically or emotionally) from Joanne. He has only killed when she is there. In fact, I am really, really curious to see what he would have said during the Evo support group meeting if Joanne hadn't barged in. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:56, 28 September 2015 (EDT)
